My wife loved the lasagna at Roccos in Republic but they closed. Looked at South Springfield menu online and saw they listed lasagna. As soon as we sat down the menu had lasagna crossed off. Very disappointing that they can't update their online menu. Service was also very lackluster. Not very attentive and had to ask to have water refilled. Restaurant is dated and apparently the only way to update their menus and special on the napkin dispenser is to cross items out with a black marker. Not work a return trip. read more

I enjoy Rocco's food, however i went in for a job interview and there was absolutely NOONE onsite, i stood at the door and knocked and called for 5 minutes and not a peep, this was a huge inconvenience especially in a time where it's hard to find a job already. read more

I'm sad to write this, but Rocco's has let themselves go. We ordered delivery through their website two and a half hours ago. When we called the store concerned that our delivery tracker has continuously pushed back the time for arrival by 20 minutes for the last hour and a half, again we ordered 2.5 hours ago, the teenager they have on the phones knew absolutely nothing about where our order was or why it has taken so long, and did not offer to look into it, fetch a manager, or offer a resolution- being nice doesn't replace the $50 plus delivery fees we have just lost, or the dinner we now have to still find elsewhere at 8:45pm. And since it is confusing, yes- Rocco's is no longer in charge of their own deliveries, they have "outsourced it to a website" and they have no idea who the drivers are, how to contact them, who they are, nor are they able to fix the issue. Apparently only the new delivery service help line for the website can fix it- which is, of course, embarrassing for them as a business. The help line was not very helpful either, and they refuse to tell us where our driver is or give us their number or contact the driver themselves. Update, it's been almost 3 hours now. Our driver did show up, the food is cold, they have no idea what happened either. My poor husband stood out there asking what happened, and the drivers said they'd been given the wrong phone number and gave a totally different story from everyone else we talked to. Rocco's, this is truly so embarrassing for you. We'll be sure to tell our friends and family who used to use your business for parties that you can't be relied on anymore. read more

We stopped in hoping to sit at the bar and order a pizza for dine-in. Unfortunately, the bar top was completely covered with large stacks of folded pizza boxes. An employee confirmed they no longer have a bar. The dining area was completely empty, which only added to our regret. With that, we chose not to stay. read more

The service was fine since I just ordered take out and then sat outside enjoying the warm air and sunshine after the huge snow storm we had and the guy at the register actually brought out my food and was very pleasant! What I didn't like was the food. What happened to this place? I used to order the spicy chicken bacon ranch sub with these amazing seasoned fries that were on special and now they don't do specials and that sub is no longer an option and their fries are just plain like if I were to get some frozen and just throw in a fryer for not long... no special seasoning or crispness to them what so ever. Great pizza and appetizers paired with fantastic service makes Rocco's a standout option when you're having a craving for Italian-American fare in Springfield. PROS The headline feature here is the pizza. A thin, but not overly crispy, crust is a wonderful base for these wonderful pies. My personal favorite here is traditional with a twist - pepperoni and extra cheese, but with Alfredo sauce as the base. Creamy, cheesy, perfect. They also have wonderful appetizers. The cheesy garlic bread is consistently one of the best I've ever had. If you aren't feeling pizza, they have great baked sandwiches and pasta choices. My wife and father in law vouch for these! The lunch special is a great deal - you can get a good sized personal pizza or pasta or sandwich plus a drink. With the wonderful service it is a fantastic choice. A random positive - the restrooms are really nice. Finally, don't miss out on the cannoli. Their plain cannoli is one of the best I've had outside of New Jersey! CONS While the plain cannoli was wonderful, the chocolate covered cannoli had a shell that was less than fresh, lacking the crisp bite that makes it such a good dessert. We tried 3 pizzas and all were really great! The pulled pork, the chicken philly & a margarita type with chicken (obviously not the one I ordered!) All were very fresh. Beware this is not like the other Rocco's in the area. I have gone in and picked up, both with bad experiences. The quality and toppings are worse than any of the cheap chains and when they get your order wrong they tell you to drive back up there to get any help. I actually overheard them on the phone talking very rude and innapropriate when I called. The owner Sean seems to be clueless about the entire restaurant. I took a pic of my veggie deluxe pizza that barely had and toppings at all you can see the bread in many places. Once they take your money there you will get nothing fixed or any service. Being a true NY'er, from Queens - here only since '21 (and loving it, i might add) I was very excited to try Rocco's NY Style Pizza. My review is mixed. The Pizza was worthy with some critique. I asked for a well done Pizza. It was not well done - it was not even hot - it was not cold but definitely not fresh out of the oven hot. It seemed as though it was not fresh-made for me. I was told to pick it up in 15-20 mins and I was there in that window. The flavor was very very good. The crust could be just a tiny bit thicker and the crust should be HOT and crusty. I would order again, making sure I point out my preferences. Overall, a thin crust is a great thing if it's stiff, crispy and it folds nicely; this just flopped. The pinwheels were very good. I'd order them again in a NY minute lol. I'm interested to try their other menu options. Sadly for me, the cannoli, was a miss. I found it far too sweet and I really didn't get a sense of the cheese at all. I'll pass on those next time. Overall, I'm still undecided on Rocco's. But I will definitely continue to explore the menu. read more

If you have celiac, a gluten intolerance, or any allergy do not eat here. I ordered a gluten-free pizza and specifically told them I had an allergy. They brought out my pizza telling me it was the gluten-free pizza. I ate an entire piece before I was thinking to myself "this tastes way too good to be gluten-free . And it turns out it was not gluten-free". Again, I have celiac; I am literally allergic to gluten. The staff completely dismissed it, and when my family was done eating their pizza, I went to the front and asked if we could have some of our bill refunded. I did not eat the gluten-free pizzas that they brought out (they brought out two even though I only ordered one) because I didn't trust that it was actually gluten-free since they served me gluten to begin with. However, my son did eat a piece of one of the gluten-free pizzas and because of that they refused to refund it and refunded the other one. The owner refused to come out and talk to me. I could hear her in the back saying that I would not be able to be refunded because the pizza was eaten. And instead of letting my family take home the extra gluten free pizza that was untouched, they took it and said that we couldn't have it since it was being refunded. It was honestly such a bizarre and discouraging experience. I had to leave early for my dad's birthday that we were celebrating there so that I could go take medication because of my gluten allergy. In my opinion, they should have comped the entire bill. But they fought me on refunding one $12 pizza because my toddler ate a piece since I was unable to eat it. This is the worst customer service experience I've ever had and for that, I definitely do not recommend eating here, especially if you have any allergies. read more

Im not sure how this place has 4.5 stars, I'm not sure how that happened. Service was not good at all. Waited 10min for silverware after our food was served. I had ti go get it myself. Pizza was extremely greasy. Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo was 80% cheap butter/ 20% some sorta cheese. We ate a couple bites and that was it. Fried mushrooms were dark and tasted burnt. This was my first visit into this Roko's Pizza. I was wanting a cauliflower crust. Since I do gluten-free. They delivered to me a 10 inch chicken barbecue pizza that was filled with yummy toppings. The crust was pretty crunchy, which I like. I am not into soft crusts. I had a super great server name Taylor. He was congenial and well informed. He was super funny when he brought the pizza out and explained robustly how hot the pizza plate was :-). I believed him although I still burn the roof of my mouth. I had gone on a long hike earlier in the day and I needed sustenance. This was a great find in a strip mall next to the UPS store. It doesn't look like much but the pizza is really good. read more

Took several minutes to be told to seat ourselves. Had two different people rushing us to order. No mention of the wine that is now being served. Beer taps out of order. Ordered eggplant parmesan. Eggplant tasted of old grease that has been filtered too many times. Gloopy large amount of cheese over the top of gelatinous eggplant. Sauce watery and pasta overcooked. I am sorry, but I have a complaint. The young lady that waited on me today I was not very satisfied with. I ask for the daily special and ask for a pizza with extra toppings like I always have for years I do the same thing at the Rocco's in Ozark, the Rocco's in Nixa and always have at the Roccos on national in Springfield. Today she refused said they were trying to get away from that. I did not understand but I ordered a pizza with one topping and was charged $10 .48 for that pizza but did get my drink for free like it says on the daily special. but it wasn't really the daily special because the daily special is $8.50. I also ordered a very small salad 3.50 for that anyway my whole ticket came to $15.11 I had a $20 bill when I got my change back I got for one dollar bills my chain should've been $4.89. There was another lady at my table and she did the same thing to her. She only got the one dollar bills back no change , I'm sorry but I think that is stealing it's not much but it just hit me the wrong way. This place has pretty good food, but there wait staff is terrible. I live right across the street and we come here to eat often. It would be one thing if t hey were slammed, but tonight there were 3 or 4 tables with 3 waitresses. Once they take your order, they don't come to your table until your food is ready. I actually got my own refill. I probably should just quit coming to avoid the frustration. Each time I come back I hope I'll find something different. Too bad! They have by far the best dessert pizza I've ever tried. Their regular pizzas are really good as well. I get carry out from them about once a week. I haven't tried their pastas so I can't give my opinion on them but their pizza is really good! I've gone there several times and the pizza is always consistently good which isn't always the case for other pizza places. They are quick too. My orders are ready in 15-20 minutes. I'd definitely recommend. I live really close to Rocco's and before they opened I always went to Jax and Gabe's, which is good but Rocco's is better imo. read more

Great take-out experience! My husband and I decided to try Rocco's for the first time and were pleasantly surprised by the good service and delicious food we received. We were greeted immediately and got our order in quickly. We waited less than 20 minutes for a fresh hot pizza. Everything was as we ordered and really tasty. We got the chicken Alfredo pizza and some garlic knots. After trying the marinara for the knots we were very sad we didn't get a pizza with red sauce, it was a perfect, acidic, and sweet tomato sauce. However, the Alfredo pizza was impressive as well. Very cheesy with a ton of toppings. Lots of garlic on pizza is essential for me to enjoy it, and I was not disappointed. The knots and pizza were cooked well. Typical New England style large slices and crust. We can't wait to try more of the specialty pizzas they offer! No more crappy take out pizza for us, Rocco's will definitely be a staple in our house from now on! read more
