Stopped by this place per recommendation while in the area and they did not disappoint. The place is very clean the staff are very polite and didn't mind educating on the menu and items available as I'm from out of town. Got few slices and 3 different knot varieties every bite was just what you would want. The bathrooms are spotless even bigger plus, divining area was clean and friendly and calming. It's A plus experience for me everyone has their own experiences however if I was in the area wanting pizza and didn't want to try a new place I'd come back here for sure. read more

We called in an order for carry out and were quoted a decent wait before it would be ready. Then when we got there they didn't have our order. They told us we probably called the wrong one, but then we checked and no-- we had the right place. Then one of the workers said "that's the third time she's done this" so apparently someone was just routinely taking orders on the phone and never writing them down or giving them to anyone. They offered to take our order and get working on it right away. It still took quite a while and we ate in since we were already stuck there for so long. They didn't offer a discount, coupon for next time, no little side extra thrown in to make up for it. Any kind of gesture would've been appreciated after that kind of a service failure. That just feels like an unacceptable mistake to me, especially when the customer is left dealing with all the inconvenience. The pizza was good but come on, you need to do better with your service when you screw up like that. That's not the kind of experience anyone wants when they are just trying to do pizza for dinner. This was a while ago but I haven't felt like going back since read more

I love it when pizza places offer the option of pizza by the slice and the Big Slice offers exactly that. Once you enter the dining room is much bigger than it looks from the outside. If like me, you're a fan of thin crust pizza then you will surely like it here. And they have brewed tea with both sweetened and unsweetened options. I like it here. read more

This place is awesome. Ordered a cheese pizza, thin, crispy, and the cheese was amazing. Nice people, and a great price! Downloaded yelp just to write this review! read more

I've eaten at this place, quite a few times...and always thought: The place is ok...but doesn't blow my socks off...it's pizza...but isn't something I think "Oh, I have to have it today". But today and at this location, it was really really good. The key I think....is to get a really "hot out of the oven" pizza. If you get that hot piece of pizza....you'll like this pizza way better! The crust, when it comes out hot, has a great texture and chew. The place (never) skimps on the toppings. And the toppings taste just as you went the to. Again, the key: Get it HOT - right out of the oven..... read more

I always get the calzone from here. It's really delicious. The service is always good. Inside of the restaurant is pretty neatly designed. But it's that delicious calzone that keeps me coming back. read more

Decided to give this location a try because we have enjoyed the Sunshine location in the past. We ordered the Margarita Pizza wanting to go with the fresh mozzarella. It was NOT what we were hoping for. Upon being handed the box, I could already tell I was going to be disappointed. It felt like nothing was in there. They had shaved the mozzarella so thin, it might as well not have been on there. The disappointment of the lack of toppings was one thing. The cardboard texture of the pizza itself was another. I thought the saving grace would be the garlic "knots" that we ordered. I was not too happy with those either. They are just little balls of pizza dough. No thought put behind them to actually be knots. The one thing we did enjoy was the butter cake for dessert. That's why this review is not a 1 star. Next time I want a quality pizza for the same price, I'll just go to Pappo's. read more

I found this place on accident but am glad that I noticed it. I am a big fan of new york style pizza and over-sized slices! I ordered a slice of the supreme rule and garden of eaten. Both were a delight and over loaded with toppings! Yum!!! The garlic knot was tasty too!!! read more

The best pizza and service around! Love having two locations in town now! Fast delivery and food is always top notch.

Good pizza with several choices. Cozy and friendly atmosphere. Workers are helpful with service.

I recommend getting this pizza when it's hot! The toppings are about average amount. The pizzas are pretty big. The crust is above and beyond though. If you are about crust... this is the place to go. Crispy outside and soft on the inside. read more

I have been supporting The Big Slice for years and I will no longer be supporting the location in SW Springfield. I will not go into the details but this location lacks customer service and did not stand behind their word to refund our purchase and for that you have lost a customer for life. read more

I came back and the pizza slices were steaming hot this time. As opposed to lukewarm the last time. Thanks, guys. You did well. read more

We ordered a pepperoni pizza for pickup; for a size @18", it barely had any pepperoni pieces ... 10?! Really?! Even the cheese was thin and so was the marinara sauce. While the dough/pie itself was good, we are disappointed about the rest qualities. read more

Pizza so big it won't fit on your plate. Incredible taste just like the original location. The new location has more beer taps. Unfortunately, can't go in until after the Rona is over:) read more

I would describe this place as mid. My group decided to try big slice because it seemed like a hole-in-wall type place. The ambiance was okay, there wasn't much to look at besides the ghetto looking bar. I don't drink so I cant say much about the bar. But like I said the bar didn't look fun inviting or enjoyable. And that pretty much goes for the whole place. The 2 girls working the place seemed ok. I wouldn't say they were the nicest. One girl said she was going to the coffee left with gloves on. Came back with the same gloves on. She probably touch a couple door handles a card reader and I didn't see her change her gloves. kinda sketchy but whatever. We ordered 3 plain cheese pizza's and 1 deluxe, garlic knots (wouldn't recommend overpriced in my opinion) bone in wings and 3 sodas. That was 37$ Almost 40$ for some pizza. thats wack. I probably wouldn't come back just for the price alone not to mention that the toilet in the women's restroom was not screwed all the way down. Its the small things that make a place memorable or forgettable. read more

We have had nothing but great experiences here. Everyone is always helpful and friendly. Several times we've been ordering right before closing and are always allowed to come last minute and still get excellent food, they're very accommodating. Everything we've had there has always been high quality and delicious and we end up here frequently as our go to. Whether you're looking to just grab a quick slice for lunch or a whole meal for a family you'll find it here. I highly recommend them! read more

Best pizza in town. Their apps and sides are really good, too. The slices are huge! They could stand to train their staff to be a little nicer. read more

Fantastic!!! Incredibly tasty and fresh. Generous portions...and very satisfying. Try it out, you won't be disappointed...Bon Appetite

I kept hearing folks rave about this place on the Springfield Restaurants facebook page, so we decided to try it. It wasn't bad. The appetizers we ordered were tasty, and the square pan pizza we ordered was good too. The place was clean, and the staff seemed helpful. If there was one thing I would ask for though, it would be for more sauce on the pizza. The price was decent as well. I'm sure we'll be back. read more

Great pizza and great service! It was a great surprise when from out of town and ordering from a place you don't know about and getting great east coast pizza in Springfield! read more

Always get great pizza here. I'm partial to the white pie but you can't really go wrong with anything here.

Do not order the Sriracha Ranch wings. There is no flavor and they will argue and be rude with you when you call because they taste like plain chicken nuggets. There's no crispness and came soggy. They told us to just order additional sauce the next time we order even though there was no seasoning/flavor in the ones we received. The Stromboli we received wasn't even fully cooked and was soggy also. Had to finish cooking after received because it was soggy. I would definitely not recommend. read more

Not happy with the online ordering interface, pizza, and worst of all was the poor customer service after I called to inquire about the issue. The sauce was nonexistent and the was no cheese on the pizza. Speaking to the manager she said you can't see the sauce (or taste it apparently) and we had to request cheese to be put on it. I'll never go there again and hope you don't waste your money either. read more
