I came to this place all the way from Los Angeles with my two beautiful friends. Edgar, the business owner took care of us by himself. The food was amazing and the prices were really cheap. Once we left, Edgar order us an Uber, we just had to pay him. He told us that this was the safest way because (and he is right) the taxis out there are a rip off. Thanks Edgar for the great experience. For sure, we will be going back.

I was surprise how a small place have excellent plates like a big fancy resataurant but the price is small. So I discover in this place that a can eat like a big reastaurant with a half the price. A big plus is that you can see how they prepare the food, because the kitchen is not hide like others restaurants. So you feel safe and not worries about the chef. I am going to come back in my next visit to TJ.

Great little family restaurant in Otay. Authentic food with great flavors. They serve breakfast and dinner all day. Service is prompt and waiters are courteous. Affordable meals with generous portions. They bring out chips with homemade salsa and bread with jelly that's delicious. They serve homemade tortillas (corn and flour). It's a great spot to frequent haven't had a plate that I didn't enjoy.

I didn't have high expectations since I hadn't tasted this Mexican-Caribbean type cousine before. I left promising to return. The restaurant is on a second story area of the Plaza and shares the space with a mexican style seafood joint and a sushi place. They have elevators and it is wheelchair accessible. The decor is impressive and they even have a small shop that sells Yucatan region's clothes and souvenirs. A very talented older gentleman in a panama style hat was crooning old and new romantic songs and playing beautifully his guitar. We were greeted with an open door and allowed to chose our table. Drinks came quick and we set at deciphering the menu. Their Maya language menu items are a challenge for anyone to translate but a helpul description of the dish is printed in Spanish below. Like, I learned that poc is pork and featured in many dishes but I went for a fish entree recommended by the waiter instead. We also shared a grilled chicken salad. Our very good waiter suggested a grilled pargo fish fillet. It came wrapped in a banana leaf and was sauteed in a tomato onion salsa with shrimp and scallops. It was accompanied by fluffy spanish rice and a roasted tomatoes green salad. The chicken salad had thin slices of breast meat. tender and flavorful. The salad dressing was delicious too. Overall a great evening out and only cost about 20 per person including drinks and tip.

When entering the restaurant, you are kindly greeted and notice a really unique, rustic decor. The music is really soothing, the type you are able to have a nice conversation without letting it disturbing you. The menu has a variety of plates which are unique to the southern region of Mexico, more specifically Yucatan. I personally tried the "empanadas de bola de queso" and "cochinita pibil". I finished it off with an anise liqueur called Xtabentún which was surprisingly smooth. Needless to say, everything was delicious.. If you are looking for traditional Mexican plates that are different from the typical tacos, burritos, tortas, etc... then this place is perfect for the occasion.

I went today with my husband and: FOOD 5/5 Chips and Salsa- their salsa always hits the spot and the chips are fresh and crunchy. Their vinegar soaked carrots are my favorite and I devour them quick. 5/5 - Ensalada de Avocado. I get it without chicken, tomatoes or onions and they LOAD up the avocado. It's such a comfort food for me that's usually my go/to. The tortilla is deep fried and tastes fresh. 5/5- CARNITAS- my husband thought it was great and full of flavor. His tortillas were fresh too. SERVICE 5/5- both female servers were helpful and attentive especially because we got some chicken soup to-go for our employee and they had it ready quick. I loved that they were dressed up as well for Halloween and went all out in their costumes. CLEANLINESS/ AMBIANCE 5/5 - This place always feels welcoming and clean. The tables are bussed quickly, you don't see food on the floor. SEATING inside had plenty of seating. Lots of booths, tables and even larger tables for groups. We saw a group of 9 people walk right in. They have a cute outside patio area that has PARKING plenty of parking since they share a lot with the other units.

As soon as you walk into the restaurant you are met with the smoky aroma of toasted corn, simmering chilies, and roasted vegetables. I ordered The Rancheros! A perfect blend of salsa ranchera, beef chorizo, and a scrambled egg. The chorizo had a kick of spiciness! My daughter ordered the grand daddy of chilaquiles- De Mercado! A rich, savory comfort dish simmered in tangy tomatillo sauce, topped with tender, slow-cooked shredded pork. Both dishes were packed with flavor! To drink, I recommend ordering La Verde- a traditional Mexican aqua fresca infused with cucumber, lime and chia seeds! This drink was fire!!! My daughter ordered the Mexican Iced Latte- which was a bold, and refreshing coffee drink that balanced rich chocolate with warm spices! Overall, service was impeccable! The ambiance was colorful and vibrant! Love the décor! My only gripe would be to suggest turning on the air conditioner. At times, the dining hall became excessively hot and somewhat uncomfortable.

Her attentiveness did not go unnoticed. Kudos to management for bringing such a talented and dedicated individual onto the team. As always, the food here is exceptional. We tried two types of chilaquiles--La Bomba and Cremosos--and both were absolutely exquisite. The aguas frescas were refreshing, and the addition of tajín on the rim was a beautiful touch that celebrates authentic Mexican culinary traditions. My companion ordered the pancakes, and the café de olla was simply outstanding. It was midday, and the San Diego sunshine made the experience even more enjoyable as we sat outside in their charming garden patio. We will be back

We were greeted immediately and offered indoor or outdoor seating. We opted to eat outdoors. A tiny regret as smoking is allowed and people were smoking. Not too strong or too weak, just perfectly prepared. My husband ordered the Chamuyo Shrimp U10, and I ordered the Rib Eye Center Cut Steak- medium well. Both came with a side of the criolla salad. The food, ambiance, and service was great. There was also about 30 minutes of live music by a duo performing son jarocho. Not sure if that's the proper phrasing but it was a nice treat.
