I purchased a bike from them back in November and have meant to leave a review for a while but never got around to it. I really appreciated that even though I'm not one of those spandexed out cycling know-it-alls they took a lot of time working with me to find the right bicycle for the right price. They treated me with respect and listened to what I was looking for. The bike I got is awesome and I ride it almost every day. I also bought a lock from them which was damaged by an attempted theft (luckily the thief didn't end up getting the bike). I went back to the store a few days later to buy a helmet and told them about the lock. Without asking, they offered me a really nice discount on a new lock which they definitely did not have to do. This bike shop is awesome! Basically, I wanted a bike -- but an inexpensive one to ride along the river. I went to a bike store near me, and the guys there were kind of dismissive. They didn't sell "cheap" bikes, they said. So, I was totally put OFF to going to bike shops. I ordered my cruiser bike off Amazon. I was planning to assemble it myself, since I was not in the mood to have snot thrown my way by avid urban cyclists -- but if I had a bike mechanic do it FOR me, the bike would be warrantied for life. What to do. I found this place, and long story short -- the owner took amazing care of me. He assembled my bike with no dismissive attitude, and I could see they were taking care with EACH customer that came in. But, most importantly, he even helped me assemble my Amazon bike rack, so I could get the bike home. No charge, just helping me out, since I was grunting and sweating and looking dismayed at the mess of racks, arms and straps (he did it, in, like five seconds). I even locked my keys in my car (it was not the greatest day), and he let me use his phone to call Triple A. Basically, this is THE place. I am telling you -- for all bike stuff, bc they are COOL and know their stuff! I will go to this neighborhood, instead of my own, just to not deal with the total BS of other places and be treated like a human being and, ALSO, have my bike expertly serviced, because they clearly care about ALL cyclists, not just the hard-core ones. read more

Went here a few weeks ago at the referral of another local bike shop. I let them know my price range and what I was looking for and they recommended around the cycle. Once I made it to the store I was extremely impressed. Ryan, the owner, is extremely knowledgable about the bikes and for me this was great as i was looking to get my first road bike. He asked what I was going to use the bike for and I let him know I was starting to train for triathlons and he steered me to a couple of bikes he had in my size. I found one I really liked but it had sold before I had gotten a chance to pull the trigger- so word of advice since this is a used bike shop if you like something put a deposit down because it can go fast! He had another bike that was a little out of my price range but we were able to work out a deal between my trade in and what the consigner was willing to accept. I've had the bike for only a couple weeks so far and still need to take it back to get a couple of more things added on but I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a bike. They have everything from low end to high end and in all styles. If they don't have what you are looking for they are willing to help you hunt it down. I love this place! The staff is super nice and friendly. I especially like it that they collaborate with Green Guru, which upcycles old tubes to make bags, and I bought a saddle bag made of old tubes, so I have brought tubes with failed patches here. I just feel so bad about all those old tubes going into the landfill. All bike shops are not created equal. I purchased a bike from a yard sale and it needed some work. I went to one bike shop that shall remain nameless and they gave me a $300 estimate to get my bike up and running. I was ready to trash the bike and take the loss. And then I found this shop. These guys are craftsmen. They are addicted to doing the job right and keeping bike ownership from becoming unnecessarily expensive. My office is just down the street from their shop. At one time my adult son worked for me and, while riding his bike to work, he got a flat. When he got to work he could only say great things about the service that he got. So. I brought in my late uncle's 10 speed. Although he bought it in 1965, I knew it was an excellent bike, and I wanted to ride it for sentimental reasons. However, there's a limit to what I would spend. Ryan attacked the rebuild with passion, and updated me on the costs. I picked up the bike and I've been writing it for months.The rebuild job was perfect. I'm not sure I would wholeheartedly recommend this shop to people who aren't serious about their bicycles. While the work would be done in the first class manner, a purely utilitarian spirit might become frustrated at the amount of care in detail that they will have to endure :-). read more

Brought my single speed in because I wanted to lower the gear ratio and get a new chain as my old one was pretty worn out. Yelp reviews were great here and it's close to me so I tried it out. Not only were all the employees super nice, but they didn't try to up sell me at all, which I always appreciate. I asked if I needed a new brake and they said the brake pads were pretty close to worn down but that I didn't need a replacement quite yet. They replaced my chain, flipped my rear wheel for a better ratio, and tightened up different parts of the bike that were a bit loose. the price was so low that I want to come back just so I can spend more money there, and I very rarely feel that way. I'll be back for sure, highly recommend! read more

What an excellent effort to ensure customer satisfaction! After a dissapointing first effort at purchasing a mountain bike for my son the owner himself Ryan followed up with me right away! He offered to personally take care of our needs and anything he could do to accommodate us. Upon return his whole team stepped up! I wish I'd gotten everyone's names but as Ryan was tied up with a customer when we walked in one of his employees immediately brought out the bike we'd come back to see! My son rode it around the parking lot and it was definitely a ride he wanted except he just had to have a basket to hold his toys on leisurely rides. So we went back inside and Ryan immediately greeted us, addressed our additional needs, gave us multiple options and then a 3rd employee went to quickly install the basket we chose as well as a kickstand for the bike. Ryan then took the time to get to know me and my boys offering us his expert advice on cycling and suggesting mountain biking trails in the area as well as ensuring we were completely satisfied before completing a more than fair purchase experience for us! Cool little bike shop with friendly employees and good prices off Lincoln Ave. I went in yesterday to purchase an inner tube and have it installed. $11 for a 29" tube and $5 for installation. Not sure what his name was, younger dude w/ brown hair)..Clay maybe?
