We came to Arooga's as a suggestion from my neighbors who are huge fans. They suggested we go here because the gluten-free selection is huge. They were right, huge selection of g-free items! We came on a Sunday (39 cent wings!) and tried all kinds. I had their traditional "everything" wing and they were outstanding! So good! My kids all ordered boneless wings but they were out of them... so we got traditional for them also. Super messy for three young kids but they loved them. They ordered the sweet BBQ and the general tso flavors. We ordered the seafood nachos as an appetizer and they were awesome too. They gave the kids some kind of game tablet and of course they thought that was awesome. We will be going back! read more

Just tried out Arooga's for the first (and last) time since moving to the area. I had the chicken street tacos, along with buffalo chicken dip. Neither were good. The chicken in the tacos was extremely dry, and the mango pico was in short supply; the buffalo chicken dip barely had any chicken in it, and the dip itself tasted like Velveeta cheese spread with buffalo seasoning. Their house salsa is tasteless, and the chips tasted overcooked. I gave two stars, because it was food...that's about all I can say for this place, though. Stopped in to have a drink and order some wings to go. I used to go there quite a bit since I live close. Never again. Ordered my drink and got a menu. Decided on what I wanted to order to go. The order came and I decided to have another drink. I put my pitcher at the edge of the bar with my money and waited for 15 minutes and was never waited on again. So I picked up my money for the drink and left. The sad think about it is they were not busy and I left a tip, which I never should have done. read more

Have been here several times, it's ok at best, good burgers, fair to good crab pretzel, the wings are good and the ayce wing special is a very good price. But, Too loud, had to wait 40 minutes for a table and WAY TOO MANY TV's. I get it that it's a sports bar with a bunch of half drunk has been jocks hanging out, it reminds me of Hooters or any of the rest of the chain sports bar dives. My girlfriend and I were very happy with the service at this place. It was probably the best service we have ever received. The staff were professional and friendly, and manager was walking around asking the customers about their experience. Went there to watch the UFC fight, and it was a great experience. We as customers came from Buffalo Wild Wings because the service over there was absolutely horrendous. The waitress was lovely, kind, and professional. The restaurant also has a good selection of food, and excellent beer. If you want to go there for a good time, and good food then I would highly recommend this place for you! read more

if I could give this place negative stars I would. Went in with a group of friends to enjoy some drinks after work about a week ago. Handed over my id and after our server, Dana, examined it and said I'll be right back. She came back a while later and said sorry I can't take accept this due to a "security issue". When asked what that security issue was she claimed she didn't know. (I have been served here several times before) She then asked if I had another form of ID. Went in for an early dinner on Saturday 4/31 no wait, as always they have a very large selection of on tap beers and a great menu. I had the buffalo sizzling fajitas a tad to spicy for me but I'm a wuss when it comes to spicy food nothing extra sour cream didn't take care of! This was my first time at this establishment and it prob won't be my last. I didn't dine in. I got my order to go and had a drink at the bar while I waited. Bar tender was super friendly(Landry..I think) and my drink was really good. It was early and the place was next to empty so I didn't have to wait very long for my food. This is the only place in my area(that I know of) that sells the impossible burger and it was delicious. They also have a few other vegetarian options on their menu that I'm looking forward to trying. Over all good experience for me. read more

After 3 months of being open, I finally get out to the infamous Arooga's. I have heard great things about Arooga's, but have also read some bad things too. You know what, though? I had to check it out myself. We had a large party of 8, which was nothing compared to the 16-top, and the 10-top that had apparently already been there. This forced us to eat in the bar area. This definatly wasn't my first choice, but, it wasn't horrible. Let me tell you though, if you are reading the reviews, someone mention the abnoxioius amount of TV's. He is right, just to many TV's. It is unnecessary. The ad on the table stated that from anywhere in the restaurant, you could view all the TV's. They weren't kidding, but let me tell you, its not a good thing. As we waited for everyone to arrive we ordered drinks and viewed the menu. There was a ton of information in the menu. I was overwhelmed. So, we finally did order. A bunch of appetizers, and I got the wings (kangaroo-something or other), and some kind of blues chips. First, the appetizers come out, and there was much hype about the crab pretzel. PHENOMENAL! It was everything I expected it to be. Seafood Nacho's were good... OH, forgot to mention, got a lager, during happy hour. $2.00 Not bad! So, the entree...wings, you know that kangaroo flavor. The wings were very good. Only downfall was that by the time they got to me, I was basically filled up on the apps that came earlier. Then there were the chips, not as good as I wanted them to be. I won't be ordering those again. Atmosphere was annoyingly loud. I guess that was to be expected considering the number of TV's and such. Service was good.. Our server seemed busy and rushed, but she was very accomodating. We even sent back a margarita, which she replaced. She gets a A for effort. Arooga's was just okay. My husband and I went yesterday for an early dinner/late lunch. What a mistake. We sat down and waited about 10 minutes to be approached for a drink order. We were then approached by two more servers within five minutes....could go either way. It turned out to be a bad sign. The place wasn't nearly full and it took 10 more minutes to get two bottled beers. We placed our food order; 10 wings, nachos and a salad. Now, we waited 30 more minutes for our food and it all came out at the same time. The service was awful, the food was just ok. The wings were good, but the salad was ALL lettuce (maybe 2 ounces of chicken and a couple of tomatoes) and the nachos were nothing to write home about. Mostly they were pre-packaged ingredients. This place is another small "sports bar" chain that's heavy on hanging plasma screens everywhere, big on selling cheap beer, and a strong supporter of serving reheated processed food. Now I love bar and grill food as much as the next guy, but when the chicken tenders have obvious processing marks on both sides, when the mozzarella sticks are served still stuck together as they were when they were frozen, and when the furniture looks like it was salvaged from a defunct Bobs Big Boy you know the quality isn't going to be the best. This will always be my hubby's fav. spot. Yes. Right off the bat walking in I counted 42 tvs in the room where we were seated. (only in our room not adding the bar or other side) Wings are also my hubby's fav food. And this place has crazy amounts. You can order then multiple ways-how you like them. You can double dip two sauces, baked then, extra crispy, no breading, boneless....plus there are over 40 sauces. And about 5 to 6 dry drubs. about $8- for 10 and $39 for 50. I order 5 of there chili lime dry rub. The wings were good but not chili-lime like I hoped. It was a light ....and I wanted 'oh shit that's chili lime' My hubby got two sets of ten - red curry and general to's which were really tasty. We also got an appetizer. Its was terrible. For $12, it was not as big as I hoped for. Fries were good. Chicken tenders ok. Potato skins...dry and flavorless. Sliders were good but a sauce? Pickles? Nope, just very plain. I would like to note. I've been here once before and I remembered the issue I had last time with this place. The last time I was here I sat waiting for service and was ready to walk out. Fortunately for this place I was starving after a super long day and a long drive to go, plus the server walked up as I was about to leave. That was in December. Tonight I stopped in, once again hungry and on the road, and this time...no greeting at the door and ZERO SERVICE! Sat there for more than 15 minutes waiting then left. The one star is only because our server was very nice and I have to select one. We waited over an hour and had nothing but mistakes. I understand they were full but the kitchen was not busy. Everyone was sitting drinking to watch football. We got something that we did not order and they managed to mess up everything we did order. They did not give me my side sweet potatoes fries and when asked and brought out they were not fully cooked. I got the wrong wrap that I asked for. Also paid $3 extra for a side salad with the burger and did not receive that instead we got French fries. We also ordered the Buffalo chicken dip and it's is embarrassing to even be on a menu. There is no chicken in it, it is straight Buffalo sauce and blue cheese. Disgusting. Oh and don't let me forget to mention they didn't give me the chips to eat it with!! Had the urge for some wings and decided to go to Arooga's. Arrived around 5:45 PM on a Saturday evening. The place was not busy. We were seated and ordered drinks. This is where everything went down hill. It took almost 10minutes to get my first beer. The waitress stating the bar was backed up (I ordered a draft!). Ordered the pepper jack app special. Came out right away but the cheese center was still frozen. They got us anther order quickly. Good news there. The wings came as we ordered....good overall. The salad we ordered was missing the cheese so the waitress gave us a plate with cheese on it. We ordered flatbread and a cheesesteak and they must have taken 30 to get to the table. The staff apologized for the delay and have me a free beer. Overall poor service. Even with the free beer, the manager never visited any tablespoon check out the visit. My wife and I had an evening without the kids and I wanted a cold draft with wings. So we went to Arooga's. It was Friday at 6PM, but the parking lot was half empty. We arrived and were asked to go to the bar since they were expecting a group of 20 anytime. So we played along and we took a table in the bar area. The music was deafening loud. We selected drinks and wings, but after about 10 minutes of watching the waitresses take orders for everyone who arrived AFTER us, we left. Went here for a snack after a quick movie and found this to be the worst experience ever. My wife and I ordered simple orders, wings and fries. Then another couple came in and sat, and another, then a group. After 30 minutes the group got an appetizer. 10 minutes later the first couple got their meal. 10 minutes later, the group got their order. I was disgusted and asked for our drink check. Been here twice now and will never be back. Here is the review from my first visit: Went for lunch one day with a buddy and was pretty excited about it. WOW, that last all about 5 minutes. Interior was nice and clean, with TVs EVERYWHERE and that's the only good thin I have to say about it. Ordered a beer while we decided what we wanted to eat. 15 minutes after ordering our beers, waitress came back to ask us had we decided. Sadly, we didn't even have our beers yet and when asked about it. She said sorry we all have to get our drinks from the bartenders and they are backed up. Which made me laugh, because we were sitting right beside the bartenders and they were standing around talking to each other and the place was EMPTY. A few minutes later we got our beers. I ordered the Prime Rib Steak Sub and was asked how I like my steak, ordered it rare. Not sure why she asked that, when it arrived it was a pile of over cooked steak-ums, burnt to a crisp onions and peppers. The wings were ok, but tasted like everyone else around. Nothing to set them apart. I had ordered another beer when my food arrived, as my first was empty. Once again, I had to ask where my beer was and this time I asked the bartender. She informed me that my beer was poured over 5 minutes ago and is sitting in the server area. The group next to us were offered a Lunch Buffet, which struck us odd, as we were not offered it. We inquired about this with the waitress and she "forgot" they offered one and she had us the check. Where she again forgot something: HALF THE ORDER. She realized her mistake and ran my credit card through twice. It was my first time there and my buddie's second and last time there. Second time wasn't to much better: I ordered the the Coney Island Deep Fried Ripper Hot Dog. It was supposed to come on a potato bun and have Guinness Stout Chili. Nope it sure didn't. It came with canned chili (can't hide that flavor folks) and a plain ole stale white roll. Oh and your beer wasn't "served below freezing thanks to our proprietary draft beer system", thats for sure. I don't typically go for the "Cookie Cutter" Sports Bars but I've got a soft spot for Arooga's. Their Beer & Liquor selection is fantastic, a great mix of Craft and 'Big' Beers. Their food is good, it isn't anything new or exciting, just your typical pup fare at reasonable prices. The atmosphere of the restaurant is what will bring me back. Went to Arroga's to celebrate my friend's birthday. This was my first time at Arooga's and likely my last. We went on Saturday about 5:00 or so. Before the dinner rush but it was busy. The service was slow. Supposedly they were down a server (on a Saturday; with the Olympics, PGA, Nascar, etc). The restaurant is nice but it is loud, has too many TVs and the menu!!! I like choices but c'mon. The menu is way too big. Directions to order wings???? After we deciphered the menu, we ordered the Seafood nachos. All the sauce and cheese was in the middle, leaving half of the chips dry. Don't let the picture in the menu fool you. I ordered the black n bleu bacon burger (medium). It was well over a half hour to get our food. The burger was disappointing. The burger was about 3 inches in diameter while the bun was 5 inches in diameter. I had "spots" of bleu cheese on my burger half weren't melted. It came with a couple sliver of bacon. But the lettuce, tomato and onion were good. Overall I was disappointed with the experience. Two stars is being generous. Our server was was good but you could tell she had way too many tables (at least 6). I can see Arooga's being a good place for local football clubs or if you want to watch an afternoon of sports. As long as the beer is cold, you really don't have high expectations for the food. If you want a good meal, there are plenty of better restaurants in the area. read more

I like to say something good first. The all-you-can-eat crab legs were excellent, and our server was a delight who kept on top of everything. But . . . The wait for a table was one hour, even though we got there at 5:15 and were third in line. The dining room wasn't large enough for a sports-bar theme, nor was it attractive. The TV at our table was filthy--stomach-churning filthy. The pretzels that came with our crab dip were overbaked (in fact, black on the bottoms), and the hush puppies and cole slaw were average at best. I hope things improve with managing the building and crowds--there's some really nice folks working there and I'd like to see the place operating successfully. One more thing--watch the mixed drinks. I love Arooga's. I've never ordered anything (food) that I didn't like. The drinks are good. The service is pretty good; and they show all the big sporting events, INCLUDING UFC fights. If there is a fight, it can get pretty crowded; otherwise, it's quiet and you don't have to wait forever (you don't have to wait at all) to be seated. read more

I'll give this place two stars because their staff is always extremely friendly and you can't go wrong with their drinks and drink specials, but their food is not what you want to come here for. I ordered a grilled cheese and tomato soup and the cheese on my sandwich was not even melted and my bread was not even toasted.... Like seriously... How does one mess up a grilled cheese?! And my tomato soup was COLD. My boyfriend got wings and those too were cold. We both kind of just sucked it up and dealt with it- though I didn't touch my food after the first bite. I can't even remember if the food had taken a long time or not, but I do know that I didn't feel like causing a scene to get it fixed nor did I feel like waiting any longer. My boyfriend now makes fun of me because I raved about this place (again bc of the drinks) and the food ended up being the worst we've ever had together that he now wonders if I have any sense of taste. read more

He never even introduced himself just came over one time for drinks and once to drop the check off. As we were leaving he was talking to a bar guest swearing very loudly.
