    Stromboli
    Kaitlyn H.

Our waitress was very nice, but admitted to have quit a while ago, and that they were so short staff she got asked back. She was very personable. Drinks were good, we ordered the Sampler- the wings were cold, the burger buns were just not working for the little burger, Pierogies were alright, best part was the cheese cubes. For a meal I ordered the Stromboli, my boyfriend got chicken fajitas and my mom got a salad with shrimp. The food came out and was alright. My boyfriend ended up with chicken and my moms shrimp, so they exchanged shrimp to her salad. After I asked for a box twice and then ended up getting a box on our way out to put my food. I understand short staff currently, so it's hard to judge. The atmosphere of a sports bar is what we wanted. We will go back in hopes that things change around for them.

First time there just yesterday for dinner with my wife. Foods amazing and the staff is just as amazing. The Amish perogies are just phenomenal

Food was delicious service was excellent and they worked hard to get my child an allergy safe meal.

3 Street Tacos with shrimp. Looks awesome, right?
    Simon M.

Firstly, I do admire that you bring your kids in to work to help out but they really should not be involved in food prep. $13.99 for three "street tacos with shrimp". Cold flour tortillas that were obviously just taken out of the bag. Some lettuce and three shrimp in each. It was so unappetising in every sense of the word. Maybe the other options are better but if you do not want to serve a certain menu item, and clearly that was the case here, then don't offer it. My advice about the street tacos - you should have left them in the street where you found them.

Wings were good but I ordered carrots and ranch with them..... Really?? They charged me for this?

Beer-Battered Banana Peppers This is what you get for $8 don't do it!

$8 for a tiny portion of banana peppers? Picture posted above. Ordered based on reviews from other people. Horribly disappointed. Love the guiltless boneless and they were all small pieces too. Quality has gone way down hill. That''s gonna be a no from me dawg.

Cheese steak boils and wings are the best in town. Service could use some work depending on the bartender. I'd come again, great atmosphere.

My wife had the fish and chips. Food was good and plentiful. Service was very good, ate with some old friends, there was no rush, they gave us plenty of space. The menu is varied, specials are not typical fare, but also do not become science projects like so many "creations" do. The food is left to speak for itself. Affordable. Two small criticisms, can be loud in certain areas. They are very accommodating in moving you. The parking lot. Walking over the bridge can be an issue with cars. Worth the trip.

It sounds bold, and it is, but it works beautifully. The broth is rich and deeply savory, the cheese pull is perfect, and the crispy rings add a texture you never knew the classic was missing. The pork chop remains the star of the menu--huge, expertly seasoned, and cooked with precision. It's widely considered the best in the city, and honestly might be the best in the state. Juicy, tender, and full of flavor, it's the kind of entrée you end up recommending to friends for weeks. Their octopus is another standout, prepared with surprising delicacy. Tender, not chewy, with a perfect char that adds just the right amount of smokiness. It's balanced, refined, and one of the most memorable small plates you'll find locally. And don't leave without dessert--the crème brûlée is phenomenal. Silky smooth custard under a flawlessly torched sugar crust that cracks just right. Simple, classic, and executed perfectly. Between the inventive dishes and the warm atmosphere, The First Post remains a must-visit for anyone who loves great food done exceptionally well.
