Great service, great food, drinks are a little pricey- but they are delicious, so worth it

Horrible service. Bar manager was rude and unprofessional. She was not attentive and was doing too many things at once. She claimed to be in charge but refused service and was obsessed with the idea of "catching fake ids" meanwhile no one was wearing a mask and they never checked for vaccination cards. When someone else tried to help us she sent them away and the other waitress admitted she was a terror. read more

Honestly, what the actual fuck, I thought this place was for the boys. Spoiler alert...it's not. They went from 1 to 2 TVs In the bathroom, they charge for UFC fights, the sliders went from 3 to 2 and the food quality is ass, plus they gave us not 1, but 2 flat sodas. Honestly we like the atmosphere here, the food, and the drinks but the service is AWFUL. It's not even the servers faults, it's management because there is never enough people and we wait at least an hour for food every single time we have tried to come here. I think they only care about their bar nights because the restaurant portion is really lacking and we can't even convince ourselves to come back because it takes way too long to get a simple meal such as wings and salad.. read more

Update 2018: The bone in wings were so incredibly skimpy I normally eat 5 I ate 10. Naked wings were loaded with fat and cartilage. The ice tea tasted like it had been left out in the heat all day, you know that foul taste. The waitress was sweet but somewhat preoccupied. And there were groups of employees hanging around doing nothing while we waited for different things. That just doesn't make sense. Won't be back. We tried to use their no wait app, but it wasn't working. We thought we'd try to call instead but apparently when you select call ahead seating they answer and tell you there is none. We asked the girl on the phone how long the wait was from the parking meter and she told us there was no wait. By the time we had walked through the door the host told us there was a 25 minute wait. It certainly didn't take that long to walk in the front door from the parking meter. The hostess was a tad bit confrontational while telling us she can't control how many people come through the door in less than 10 minutes, which we thought was really rude Other than that the food is great and the servers are attentive and sincere which you don't always find at other places. Every time I eat here I am surprised by the quality of the food. There's a long, diverse menu, and I've yet to be disappointed.

Aroogas is nice I like the drinks and the food is alright. But honestly the bartenders suck. Every time I come here they take forever to take my drink order and have an attitude, and I don't even come when it's busy it's usually pretty dead when I choose to appear. The few times I have gone when it was busy I was ignored by bartenders because I asked for a water and apparently a water isn't on their priority list since they don't get money for it. Little does she know I tip even for a water, so sorry the bartender had such a stick up her butt and ignored me three times. read more

NEVER TO RETURN. Came here recently with a friend on a monday night to watch basketball and enjoy a beer and a burger, seems simple enough right? Apparently not at Arooga's. Upon entering the foul smelling room, we were informed that we had to arbitrarily sit at the bar right by the front door - where a constant waft of cigarette smoke could float to our hungry mouths. We then greeted the bartender and requested if she could change the TV in front of us to basketball, and for a food menu. Without any sort of recognition that we had made human contact with her, she ordered to see our IDs. Which is understandable, it is the law. Once again without a word she aimlessly walked away with our IDs. After 5 minutes or so she returned and rudely stated that our IDs are fake and to leave. This came as a surprise, while we are young looking men, we are both most certainly of age. (The friend of mine recently had his first son and I had recently graduated university.) Our IDs were without a doubt real, DMV registered and administered IDs. Baffled, we asked to see a manager, who turned out to be twice as ill-mannered as his bartender. We once again handed him our identification cards and he returned minutes later shaking his head, as if we were there to pull the wool over his eyes, and not to enjoy a burger and talk sports. We asked if he had a ID scanner so we could prove our point and go on with our night. He said he did not own one but rest assured he could tell all the same. At this point we were bothered and asked what could possibly convince him of this. He then abruptly starting throwing a tantrum, saying he did not need a reason and could refuse to serve us at any point, even if they were real IDs (??) After another minute or two of his obscene yelling (not to mention the saliva flying at our faces) we decided this was not worth the hassle and it was clearly best to take our business elsewhere. So if you enjoy going to dull bars run by impolite and tactless management, where they take one look at you and decide if you are worth serving, Arooga's is your place. read more

E en though this is a chain- I'm giving this place a great review - the staff is nice- the menu is way more varied ( and veggie friendly) than most chains. Also- the spicy wings are actually spicy!!! Our food was great for chain fare. Really fun place to chill and eat. read more

The food is what to be expected from a sports bar pretty decent. The TV set up is exceptional can't go wrong with one hundred TV's .

Wish I could rate 0 stars. Place has mischarged my card now three times when I only made one purchase (0 of the 3 charges were even correct)...the only time I've ever been here. Service was horrible... sat there with no napkins, asked for lettuce and tomato, glasses empty while the owner sat at the bar talking to 4 bartenders that we're on there phones. Shift change in the middle of dinner. One bartenders back was to us while the others were setting up just unprofessional. Staff was cursing next to us and a bartender who was serving us just up and left ignoring us as if she never spoke to us. Went in with the wife for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The place was empty and we got seated right away. We ordered 10 wings for an appetizer for $12. It came with blue cheese, celery and carrots. The wings were cooked through and well sauced. It took along time to get to the table.....we went in for burgers and fries. Specifically the bacon and blue cheeseburger. They were cooked well and came to the table on a reasonable time. The waitress was pleasant but didn't know the drink specials were. The bill came out to $50+ which I think is pricey for a couple of burgers. Applebees would have been a cheaper choice for a similar order. If you want to try something new it's worth a visit. read more

Went for a few drinks it was cool. End of night bartender handed me receipt and that was it. Asked for shot and then we'd be on our way. She said she could not do that. I asked why not? She said "someone" told her not To. I said ok fine, why did you hand me a bill with no pen to sign for and you didn't give my debit card back? She said it's just a receipt ...I've never got a receipt but wasn't even able to sign for it / cash out for? No explanation given and was straight up rude attitude from bartender. Hey so I am at arooga's right now with two friends. The bartenders working are very inattentive to every customer I have watched come up to the bar. I ordered one drink and basically had to beg the bartender to come over to me a second time to order another drink. My other friend was not even approached for another drink during the hour we spent here. I told the bartender I wanted to hold off on food for awhile and was never approached ever again. There is a need for more personable staff and maybe extra bartenders since these cannot pay enough attention to their customers. read more

I've come here a couple times and haven't left a review yet! So, if I go back somewhere, I usually like it (unless someone is forcing my hand obvi). So with Arooga's, it's a big sports bar - which is fantastic when a game is on. TVs EVERYWHERE. The service is super slow, sometimes a little less than attentive, but the drinks are good and the food is really decent. They seem to have made a big commitment to quality ingredients and it tastes like it! Food is priced accordingly. There are no wing specials. I only gave 3 stars because service is important to me - especially when I'm starving. But other than that, go on in! I think the crowd is really made up of those tenants who live above it - who all seem very nice. read more

Went through DoorDash to order because we want to support local restaurants. I Received the sorriest wings I'd ever seen. You have to be really drunk to ignore the neglect these wings got. That might fly when they have a crowded bar, but won't pass muster with ordering at home. These are supposed to be "world class wings"?
