Instead of working with us, getting a manager, or simply explaining why it couldn't be done, the situation escalated to the point that the police were called on our group. Yes, you read that correctly. The police were called after we questioned why our bills couldn't be separated. I have worked in the food and beverage industry for many years, and I understand that restaurants have policies. If a restaurant doesn't allow separate checks for large groups, tell the guests. Explain the policy. Put it on the menu. Let the group know before they order. There are so many professional ways to handle something like this. But calling the police over a billing disagreement when customers are trying to PAY? What should have been a fun night out turned into an embarrassing and completely unnecessary situation. I'm sharing this because people deserve to know about the experience our group had tonight at Causeway Grill. We came in as paying customers, and we certainly never expected our evening to end with the police being called simply because we asked for our checks to be separated. Causeway Grill -- this could have been handled so much better.

Tonight I ordered 2 pizzas from Aromas expecting an authentic New York pie, but unfortunately, it fell far short. The pizza arrived overcooked, with a crust so dry and tough it was almost inedible. The toppings were sparse and lacked flavor, making the whole thing taste more like a generic frozen pizza than something made fresh. If you're closed, don't accept the order and have a driver waste their time going there. And $8 for a fountain Diet Coke is crazy in the first place. I did receive a refund from DoorDash, but the whole thing was unnecessarily frustrating and poorly handled.
