I was taking a short cut yesterday afternoon (via Waze) and saw a small restaurant, advertising pizza by the slice, and packed. So naturally, I had to check it out. I went in for a quick slice to see if it was worth a revisit. Long story short, it is and I will return soon. The pizza (pepperoni) was excellent! The crust stayed crispy the entire time I was eating the slice. Good oil on top, just a really good piece of pizza. They advertise as authentic NY Pizza, and it is. The seating is limited on the inside, it is not a destination for ambiance. However, they have a really nice outside eating area, and it was fairly populated. The restaurant is not located in a high traffic area, so considering how busy they were, that is a clear signal they produce a quality product. read more

Great pizza, great vegan options! Ate lunch here with a large group of vegan friends, selected because they have vegan options. We were planning on sitting outside in their great outdoor area but a tropical storm prevented that. We squeezed inside and had a wonderful time. Staff was super friendly and helpful. My husband is from NY and said Palmetto Pointe serves the best pizza he's had in the south (we've lived in NC for several years). He's a classic cheese guy. He had pizza by the slice and a pepperoni roll. He enjoyed the roll and said the sesame seeds on top were a nice touch. I'm vegan and they were able to make me a delicious veggie sandwich that really hit the spot. They also have vegan cheese available for pizza which our children enjoyed. The type of cheese they used melted so well I was skeptical that it might've been real cheese! They had outdoor seating with games for the kids which was a blast for our toddlers and 6yo. The young guy at the counter was so friendly and welcoming to everyone that came in while we were there! It was our first trip here and he gave us free garlic knots! I don't know...we are regulars as we live nearby. At first everything was phenomenal, now it feels like it's just going downhill. As someone who's in the food industry, I just don't know how it's acceptable to send out a pizza which wasn't what I ordered (missing toppings, just plain cheese) and when the cheese isn't even melted. No one that was mistaken for "done". Someone saw that and didn't care... How do you send out a half cooked, doughy pepperoni roll? Don't you have any pride in what you do?? Are you just focused on getting the food into customers hands and don't even care about the quality?? That's what we picked up. We actually had to bring it home and cook it ourselves. First time local here and decided to try after seeing local TikTokers Keef and Jess do a review. Ordered two slices and a beer. Ordered my food and the slices came out pretty quickly telling me they weren't in the oven reheating that long. I waited in line as a family of 3 ordered which took forever for me to get my beer. But the time I did and got back to my table the slices were very cool. One person up front is not a good idea. One in the phone and one taking orders will help your newly advertise business flow. I never would've come to this place if I hadn't seen it on TikTok. I may try again after the season when things slow down. I've been in the restaurant business for over 30 years. We have only had the take out pizza. The white pizza with fresh spinach is the best in the area. They load on fresh spinach not the frozen stuff. The Cheese pizza with sausage is a favorite. I eat here at least twice a week. Everyone that works there is always so nice and friendly. I like that they sell slices, and that they rotate them out so they aren't the same ones every day. It allows me to try pizza and subs that I typically wouldn't order. I have not been disappointed with anything that I have gotten from there. Walk-ins got priority and got their orders before the online orders were completed. The lobby was full of people with just one cashier, many in the back but no-one managing the operation. We've been following the owner from many different locations and I must say today was the icing on the cake. We had the upside down, a margherita slice and a grandma's. To be fair I don't think this will be a fair rating I'm hoping a one off. Ordered from here the last 4 Fridays and the pizza was excellent, couldn't believe we finally found "the spot"! However tonight's order was a disaster, pizza was soaked in sauce wasn't well cooked and after a slice each we threw the remaining 6 slices in the garbage.
