I've come to the realization that I really only like coming here because this is where I meet my aunts. Not because of the food or coffee. This place has very small portions. For a price slightly higher than what you'd pay at any other place around town, you get just a little bit less. My father won't even come here because he calls it a 'breakfast teaser' ... and I can attest that I'm not full even after eating a whole omelette. I suppose I'm a bit bitter about having coffee in suburbia when there are such cooler places in the city like coffee emporium or 1215 downtown. Alas, until I can convince my family that there is an incentive to try something new, we will meet up at Aroma's.

I waited a few days to write this review. I have been conflicted as to how to write it. Pros: Welcoming looking seating area. Board games are located to the back for patrons to enjoy. They sell gelato, coffees, and baked goods. Cons: In accurate menu board. Drinks have sizes and prices, so I ordered by size. The girl started to tell me that the sizes were actually different than stated. Then AFTER I ordered, and AFTER she made the drink, and AFTER she rung me up, and AFTER I asked why my total was more than it should have been, did she tell me about the $1.00 upcharge for frappe. I asked where it said that on the menu board. She looked at the board and informed me it doesn't. Taste was another offender. My drink tasted like instant coffee, and chocolate syrup. By far, the worse blended coffee I have ever had. I drank less than half. The only reason I drank as much as I did is I was trying to figure out what it tasted like. I finally gave up. I only came here because I received a gift certificate. I chose my order so that with tax my total would be less that the gift certificate. I didn't bring extra money. The girl said she would cover the additional charge. At first I thought, "what great customer service." The more I thought about it, the more it bothered me that the management puts their employees in this situation. I gladly would have ordered something else, or a smaller size if I would have known. The way she jumped right to her answer makes me think this is not the first time this has happened. There was no, I can make it smaller, or get a manager. Either that, or they do this to pad the tip jar. Either way, I felt very unsettled by the whole trip. I won't be back.

One of the best places in town for gelato!!! They make their own and it's superb. I haven't tried their coffee, because I don't drink that nasty stuff. :) The place is clean and the owner's are nice. They also feature local painters, photographers, which is cool. What to try: Passion fruit gelato... biggie size it!!!

Amazing! Love having this perfect place so close by to home! Great food, flavorful cupcakes, delicious gelato, and amazing coffees! One of my favorites!

Gelato made in house, and washed down with a hazelnut coffee.

The atmosphere felt lively but still personal, which made it perfect for a milestone birthday. The food came out quickly, was fresh, and every single person at the table had something they loved. You could tell the team cared about getting it right. What stood out most was the level of service. My friend Lenin took ownership of the entire experience and made it effortless. He anticipated what we needed before we even asked. He kept everything moving, made sure our group felt taken care of, and created moments that made the night feel special for my daughter. If you are planning a celebration and want it to feel easy, well-run, and memorable, this is the place. The team delivered across the board, and Lenin made sure it was a night we will not forget.

We received the complimentary salsa and chips. The salsa was okay, the flavor reminded me of pizza sauce but it could be today so I'm not sure it's common. The chips were thick. I got a chicken burrito. The burrito was very good but the wrap reminded me of a store bought tortilla wrap. The service was good and I would come back if I am in the area and wanting Mexican food.

After talking to the workers we were excited to get so many items to try and we tipped 2X because we were ordering so much and there was no one else waiting since they just opened the kitchen. We tried a lot of items to see what we would enjoy. The bowl was hands down the winner. I wish it was a little more flavorful but it was a lot of food for the price. This was the only item we ate in its entirety. Also the soda was actually really good and a different taste that we both enjoyed. Overall most of the food was a little bland but decent quality. It needed more flavoring like maybe adding roasted garlic, parsley, thyme, rosemary etc or any other herbs and seasoning to keep it healthy and flavorful. Now here's the disappointing news... the sweet potato fries were overcooked, I even mentioned it to the server and they didn't offer anything so she walked away since I just left it at that. I regret not speaking up more but I had other errands to run so I let it go. I'm still shocked they served me that especially when we told them it was our 1st time and after ordering so much to support. But I could have also easily asked for another sided. Mac was not for me, they did tell us it was a queso sauce but we still wanted to try and I think a pasta salad would have been a better option. The smoothie had a strong wheat after taste but it didn't turn me off, what did turn me off was the berries didn't taste like fresh fruit, almost a little too sweet. I expected it to be brighter like a little tart and sweet but all I could taste was the wheat flavor and a chalky, sweet, artificial strawberry. Also the apple with the peanut butter dip was almost like the apple was frozen then cut up and cut to order. I really wasn't sure why it was so cold and not really as fresh. But maybe that's just me being I Honey crisp & green apples because they are hard tart apples. I wanted to give this place a chance since I'm trying to eat better but I haven't been back and probably don't plan on it . I did give me some ideas when cooking at home more so it helped me become more motivated to cook instead of eating out as restaurants.

Food: if you're a fan of thin crust, New York style pizza, this is a great place! Our waitress was at the table very quick and asked if we wanted drinks, took our drink order and gave us a few minutes to check out the menu this being our first time. She came back pretty quickly, but enough time for us to go through the menu. We ordered a large salad and split it between the two of us. Quite good and plenty for two people to share. I ordered a small "Cosentino" pizza which is their old world red sauce, mozzarella, fire roasted red peppers, Italian sausage, and garlic. i would've preferred the crust be done a bit longer. Afterward, the waitress informed me I can ask for it "well done". Will definitely do that next time. Other than that, VERY tasty pizza. Great sauce, fresh cheese, good amount of sausage. Yeh, definite winer. My wife ordered the Margherita pizza. Old world red sauce, fresh mozzarella, seasoned tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, and fresh basil. She could only eat half but brought the other half home. She really liked it. So, if you're on the west side and have not been here before...WHY NOT!?! If you are a fan of thin crust pizza, this is a great place for that. If not, well, perhaps try a sub or hoagy, they looked really good! We live more northwest of Strong's, but it was well worth the drive there and back! We had originally tried a different place, but there was no mention of it being take out only. S, we looked at another place...turns out it is a food truck and is NOT at the address listed. SO, my wife types in Pizza near us, which is now NOT really near our home. Fortunately, Strong's came up and that was our target. All I can say is BULLSEYE!! On target! Add this to our places we WILL be coming back to!!
