This is a small family coffee shop that also serves food. The menu is on the wall when you walk in and it's larger than one might expect given the overall size. I had the Buffalo chicken hoagie and the daily soup, a cream of potato. The sandwich had tender chicken, buffalo sauce, cheese, lettuce & tomato on a soft, fresh hoagie bun. I liked it a lot! Were on a coffee adventure and decided to try this place it's about 40 minutes from us staff was friendly down to earth which I appreciate.i got the frappe blast in milky way flavor my boyfriend got a iced mocha and the bacon egg and cheese on the croissant coffees were good he said the sandwich wasn't bad.we were hoping to walk around town like we have been on this coffee adventure but this isn't quite the area for that.but overall not a bad experience maybe could use a little cleanup but worth checking out if your on the go.I will say if we're back in town people kept ordering there sandwiches so I may have to try there meatball sub next time. read more

This is a great, no frills, coffee and breakfast spot. Are the lattes frothy and the bacon gourmet? No. But I don't believe that you always need that. For $10 I got a fresh bacon egg and cheese on a croissant, a surprisingly delicious pastry, and a much needed iced latte. I was more than satisfied in taste, fullness, and value. Keep in mind: this is definitely more of a to go spot. You can sit inside but it's loud and a little cramped. There is outside seating that I took advantage of. Fist I have to say, I have driven by here a few times and searched for coffee shops and never seen this place. Wow am I happy I found it. First let me say I am at the airport a lot 2.5 miles away, so I am glad I found this place. I ordered the GD Cluck Club on a crescent. And a white chocolate latte with raspberry. The latte was super yummy, but the real winner was the sandwich. Served with a little bit of sausage gravy. I would not recommend eating this in your car while driving. But it was served very hot out of the oven and very yummy. I mean wow yummy. This to me is a small cozy coffee shop with drive thru a small outside seating area and room for maybe 6 people to sit inside. I will be back. read more

The coffee is about $2 for a medium size. It's not high end, but it wasn't tasteless and watery either. The bagel was pretty average but it was cheap too. I sadly havent been here recently but one of my favorite parts about driving through the area in the morning was stopping to get an egg, cheese, and turkey croissant. The croissant was always buttery and flaky, eggs cooked perfectly, and the saltiness of the turkey brought it all together. I also enjoyed their coffee even though I'm not a huge coffee guy. I can not say enough about this amazing restaurant. The coffee taste better than Starbucks, try it and get a cold brew iced coffee. They make from scratch pumpkin donuts they sale out every weekend. They are savory and mouth watering. Everything they serve has love in it. The pricing is affordable. And the owner and his wife always say hi to you they are such good people. I visited Ohio last year and I remember Daily Grind very fondly! In fact, I still crave their coffee and croissant sandwiches. The gist: The service is superb! And their drinks should be the standard of what coffee shop drinks should taste like. They are so good! In particular, though, I appreciate that the quality of the drinks the Daily Grind makes is very consistent. The drinks always, always taste great-- as they should. I respect this because other big, corporate, multi-Million dollar chain coffee shops--which shall remain unnamed, but may or may not have a siren as their brand logo--can't manage to be consistent! As a result, inconsistency in the taste of drinks and poor quality has become acceptable, perhaps even the norm in coffee drinks. But, I for one, do not think it's acceptable. And Daily Grind does not either. They pay attention to detail; it is evident in their execution and customer service! Their drinks are simply amazing! I used to drive past the Daily Grind & Slice numerous times thinking that it was simply a coffee and doughnut shop and boy I was wrong. A coworker had their box lunch on her desk and I inquired as to where did she get the delicious lunch and she she mention the Daily Grind & Slice. Astonished, I visited the location on Friday, July 11, 2014 and was pleasantly surprised to see the expansive menu more than just coffee and danishes. With the box lunch you will get a delicious whole sandwich, two sides and a cookie all for $6 bucks. The Daily Grind & Slice has dinner, Lunch, Breakfast, Pizza all at reasonable prices and heaping servings. I re-visited TDGS again on Monday, July 14 and tried their Double/Double Cheese and Pepperoni small pizza and a great deal for only $5.50. This is a good example to patronize small independent businesses such as TDGS plus other types of small businesses. After my first and second visit the cook and other prep ladies thanked me for the business and I will be visiting more often. The nationally recognized chains are decent but you cannot beat the customer service at TDGS. read more

Daily Grind is in a small little building on Pleasant Ave, that you would most likely pass and not give a second thought. I for one am a weirdo and I really really don't like coffee, like at all. I think it tastes like warm dirt, and that's about as pleasing as a poke in the eye. So, pray tell, why the heck am I reviewing a coffee place then, you ask. Well, my friend is a coffee junkie, and despite my distaste for the general coffee drink, I have realized that if I drink it cold, and so ridiculously flavored that there is not even a trace of that nasty dark liquid, I can tolerate it. My friend and I were on a mission to get our yard sale on, so I knew I needed to suck it up and get some fake energy in a cup. They have iced coffee so I figured what the heck and said I'd try it. Then I realized they didn't have flavor in it!!! WHAAAAA??? But I explained my conundrum to the nice lady at the drive through window, and she laughed and said she could doctor it up. She added enough vanilla syrup to make someone have an instant sugar rush, and lightened it up with creamer. Uh, YUM. Seriously I was shocked, and the prices were excellent! I am a frequent flyer at The Daily Grind and I it's one of two places that I hope NEVER goes out of business (the other place being True West). Hamilton needs more places like this.. lots of wonderful sandwiches, subs and pizza. The menu is simple, yet they still have quite a variety. I usually get one of their boxed lunches - either the double BLT or the chicken salad on a croissant. Both are fantastic. Their frappe blasts are better than starbucks... I recommend the milky way frappe blast. Prices are very reasonable. A boxed lunch includes your sandwich, a bag of chips, a pickle and a chocolate chip cookie. A boxed lunch plus a coffee drink costs me $9 (plus tax). Just an FYI... this is a basically drive-thru only place. There is ONE two person table inside and a couple of tables outside but the majority of their business is done by people going through the drive-thru. Any way, if you are considering stopping by this place, DO IT. read more

You folks in the Hamilton/Fairfield area have a gem of a coffee shop in your area. I've been going there for years, and have yet to have a bad experience. The staff are super nice, and there is usually not a long wait. I have not sampled the food menu, but from what I've heard and seen, it looks really good. Decided to stop in for a cold beverage on a hot day. We went through the drive thru, the service was friendly and the prices reasonable. My daughter ordered a mocha frappe and I got an iced coffee with chocolate/raspberry and cream. She was satisfied with her choice, but my drink was chalky and did not have any raspberry flavor that I could taste.
