I was very happy with how he helped me buy a lock and size up a helmet.

Business-wise, the older Bob was always missing something each time I visited. When I was a…read moresocially awkward newbie biker back in 2011, he lacked patience and courtesy. I'm not sure what question I asked but I had to repeat myself a couple of times and I remembered feeling like an idiot afterwards. The next time I needed something later that year I went all the way Arnold's on 8th Ave because I thought the guys at Ferrara would be annoyed to see me. Other memorable events: In 2013 I needed my front bike tube changed and now that I was a bit more seasoned and confident, I went back to Ferrara's. Price for the tube and replacement was within range of what I expected but the turnaround was not-- like 1-2 days and I was impatient lol. Thanks to that experience, I learned how to replace a tube myself that day. In 2019 I needed a back spoke replaced and both wheels trued. They were friendly this time but there was another issue-- this time they lacked urgency. I wanted it done ASAP and was willing to pay more for it but I was informed alas that there were a bunch of jobs ahead of mine so it would be ready overnight at the soonest. That might've been believable but Bob and the other guy there weren't actually servicing any bikes and just chatting when I came in. The good thing that came from that experience? It took me around two hours and I got my hands dirty but I learned to replace spokes and true wheels myself later that day. IMO this isn't really a business so much as it is post-retirement social gig. And power to Bob! I could only dream of being in a well-enough economic position to do what he does.

I was able to get a fix on my bike and parts that no other shop could supply. If you have a problem with a bike, this is the place to get it fixed, and prices are reasonable Joan B

When I received my Power Goat V3, I took it to LastMileNYC for some work. They told me that they…read moreonly work on the brands they sell and they don't sell PowerGoat ebikes. So I went to a local bike shop in the east village call BikeFix and I really lucked up. BikeFixNYC is for anyone out there like me that spent several thousand for an ebike from California that has no support/mechanics here in NYC. Surron, Super73, Onyx, Ghostcat, Revv1, PowerGoat, you name it and BikeFix got you. They honestly do not disappoint. Plus they're honest and trustworthy. I brought my PG V3 for some new rear shocks and Greg did a phenomenal job. He also removed some pegs that I had difficulty with. I won't take my bike anywhere else!

Needed one screw on handlebar, and asked for air in back tires. $10, ok. Gave a tip. Left shop,…read moreblew out back tire. ugh!! Back to shop, fixed tire and when I asked the price, they said $25, but I mentioned the wall sign says $20 fixed rate. I give the $20 and they argue with me, and someone not involved gets involved and I feel like I'm being attacked. I leave the shop again, and the back tire, just "fixed" is completely flat by the time I got home 5 blocks. I thought the shop was going to be OK, but I cannot recommend it. Plus, I have a completely flat back tire.

For a business that has "fun" in its title, the cashier is a lot of things but fun... hehe but fun…read more The website is maintained very nicely in the event that anyone needs to verify location hours-- but I wouldn't recommend this service. The person manning the shack carried a standoffish demeanor and wasn't very receptive to questions. We inquired about whether to pay beforehand and late policy and the host was upset to even be asked that question as though we're supposed to inherently know that we're supposed to anticipate how long we're taking the rentals for. So much for enjoying the scenery. To describe the equipment aptly-- it was shit. The mechanisms were intuitive but had poor build quality. The wheels are small, so it requires a large input of energy to at best move at a moderate pace, the driver's side chain stopped at certain intervals, so you couldn't build momentum, and one of the pedals behind the driver was slanted so far that you couldn't even pedal, leaving the ride to 3 people at most. The cart was adorned by Christmas lights but they didn't work.

Sometimes one is there and not the other) We were there on the fourth of July and it got pretty busy. The line was pretty long but they both handled everything smoothly. My husband and I take our daughter every weekend for a bicycle ride. (We bought an annual pass so you save 50% off each rental. Once you buy the pass, the 50% off doesn't start until your next rental). Our daughter enjoys the rides each time. Some of the surrey's can be a little squeaky and noisy. (Depends on which color).
