This review is for Dr Nune and the clinical staff: The…read morereason for the visit was for both vestibular and memory issues. I wish I was more invasive and snapped a shot because you cannot believe this. The tech was dressed in a red themed jacket to top off an outfit more fitting of attending a rap concert than a medical office. I thought I was being punked. The guy was pleasant enough but dressed very inappropriately. I cannot take any doctor seriously that would allow for anyone working in said office to not be outfitted in proper scrubs etc.. The younger lady at check in was very pleasant but not able to obtain my MRI records while at my visit that was around 45 minutes (wait was around 10 minutes and 30 minutes for the visit. The doctor told me the visit was going to be be focused on one issue (not two) and this was going to be memory. I did a quick walk at the end to show instability when I walk (I had my balance nerve cut years ago during a resection). I got some archaic test complete with kindergarten animal sketches and other nonsense in a test that was likely created sometime in the 1960's. Meanwhile, I misplace everything all the time including cars I just parked minutes prior to a quick run into the store. So, how does this address help define my memory issues?! I am starting to think neurologist are completely pointless. I mean Chat GPT is more helpful and that is not saying much. Finally, I was offered a future EEG test. I was directed to a room with a woman with glasses to set that appointment. This was a woman with attitude (wore glasses and hair pulled back in a ponytail). I asked if I could have this test closer to home since this was a trek and I was told after developing care that future visits could be virtual. She took some attitude with me and stated twice about how the test needs to be done in that office. A good doctor would understand my situation and want to make it as easy for a patient as possible (imho). I kept insisting that I would not want to return to have this test there, so she hems and haws then gets up to ask the doctor (supposedly) and comes back to tell me it's a negative and I have to come there. Oh, and it gets better because then you have to wait a month if you want to get the results. Every single doctor posts results in your medical chart and if something is abnormal then they call you. Thank goodness this doctor is not treating something more dire (at least for me) because who needs to wait a month for a useless test....no one and I am out.

A year of suffering and a hospitalization had not led me to a solution or to the cause of my pain and rapid loss of mobility. After a series of weekly visits, I was guided back to normalcy. Some tips during treatment keep me on course. I will return for occasional visits as needed. Thank you, Dr. Barton, for your guidance, wisdom and empathy. I am 76 and I want to avoid surgery whenever I can and take care of my body.

There's a kind of warm energy buzzing through it. When I walked in, a few staff members immediately checked in with me--offered help, asked if I needed anything, and seemed like they meant it. It's the kind of place where you don't feel like an inconvenience for just... being there. Dr. Barton himself? Warm, sharp, unhurried. He asked specific questions, zero judgment, no rush--just actual conversation. You can tell he likes his job and takes it seriously. Also? He's a lot more personable than you'd expect from someone who's double-board-certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology. (Which sounds a bit like a Marvel super-scientist resume, but I digress). ‍‍ Bottom line: if you're looking for a doctor who listens, thinks out loud with you, respects your time, and actually gives a damn--Dr. Barton checks every box, and then some.
