Arnies has taken care of several needs at our house for years. They have always been honest and open about recommendations and fixes. We worked with them over the phone at my mother in laws house before we moved out here and since then everybody we have worked with has been phenomenal. This company is complete unprofessional and not upfront about their pricing. They quoted an hourly rate to clear a drain and then when we received the bill there was no breakdown of the cost. I called to get clarity and they explained that they add a "misc" fee of $10/day and charged me a fee of $100 for a tool that they use that they own. They never discussed that we would be charged a fee for their tools or any "misc" fee. When I questioned these fees and they were very defensive and threatened to put a lean on the property. Please save yourself my headache and find a different plumber. My bill for clearing a drain was over $600. read more

I signed a proposal to have work done due to my plumbing that was completely non-functioning; Arnie said they could have it completed in a day once the ground was marked. Excuse after excuse led me to calling multiple times and sending many emails, finally demanding service. Over three weeks later, they showed up 2 hours earlier than expected. (I would have hired another company but was continuously told 'the next few days,' ' early next week,' 'after the holiday,' etc.) The guys who completed the work were nice enough but it was clear they had no real concept of what Arnie's plans were. After finding a septic tank in the ground, they were prepared to leave. The proposal written by Arnie included how to handle that. Also included was to pump the tank; Arnie's guys made me arrange and pay for that service provided by a separate company. They left that afternoon without communication, next steps, or any parting words. I called the office that afternoon after the tank was pumped to find out what the status was, when the job would be done, etc. The women in the office informed me Arnie was out of the office and would return my call by EOB that day. When I called back before close, asking Arnie to call or I'd have finish the job myself, the secretary hung up on me. When Arnie finally returned my call, he was on his way out of town. We agreed on the conclusion of work. However, no one ever showed up. I received a bill a week later; meanwhile a clean-out pipe was sticking 3-4 feet out of the ground and a huge hole was left in my yard, uncovered. When I informed Arnie of this, he had no idea. Without responding at all (no apology, no admitted miscommunication, etc), his guys showed up to finish the next day. Not only was I out of plumbing for almost a month, I was mistreated with horrible customer service. No communication occurs between Arnie and the office women or his employees in the field. It's impossible to speak with Arnie himself when you need him and to top it off, his professional opinion and recommendations led me to ... Continued issues. The work they performed was paid for but I'm having to go through this all over again and am going to bite the bullet financially because I refuse to deal with him again. It's worth it to me to hire a brand new company. I've since then realized they dug through electric to my light post that are no longer functional. read more

Definitely a five star business. I have had the pleasure of having Arnie's plumbers come out on three occasions. One thing that is very important to me is punctuality. On the three occasions that Arnie's plumbers have come out, each of them have been on time every time. Just as they are punctual, they are very expedient with their job as well, while not sacrificing quality of work. This is great, especially when you have somewhere else to be that day. You don't always have to erase your whole schedule for the day just for these folks to come out and take care of your problems. I mentioned there expedience without sacrificing quality of work. I have always been impressed with the Pride that they take in their job. Whether it's clearing out a sewage pipe that has roots growing into it (eew) or replacing plumbing and shower walls, they are always happy to be there and they do a great job no matter how unpleasant it may be. Although, quality of work is very important when looking for a plumber. You also want to feel comfortable with whomever you're letting into your home. I have not felt uncomfortable with any of the gentleman that Arnie's has sent out. Today, Andy has come out to replace some pipes fixtures and the wall in my shower. Andy is a very clean-cut polite gentleman who even goes through the trouble of knocking on my front door every time he has to make a trip outside to his truck. Although, it's not necessary at my house to knock every time he goes in and out, since I know he's here. However, it's very nice to see that everybody at Arny's emphasizes politeness and courtesy. I have been an Arnie's customer for several years, primarily receiving their twice a year HVAC service and inspection. With the fee for this service membership I receive two visits a year where a tech inspects my HVAC system and cleans the units and makes adjustments. Any parts required are extra. Signing up for this service gives me some discounts on any service calls for HVAC or plumbing calls. I've yet to require Arnie's plumbing service but have needed their help with HVAC. Their service Tech Shawn has always been the tech sent out and he is excellent. He is respectful of my home, knowledgeable of his field and timely. The person who answers the phone at Arnie's, Twyla, is professional and whenever I talk to her on the phone and hang up,I'm left with the feeling that she is going to make things happen just the way I need things to go. As a result of the service I have received from Shawn and Twyla, I have no doubt that when I have plumbing needs, I will receive the same fine service. read more

Our gas furnace didn't come on last night to warm the house. The furnace wouldn't start and and this morning it was pretty chilly. Even though it was Saturday I contacted Twyla to try to schedule a tech to come out Monday as soon as possible. Twyla didn't hesitate. She told me their technician Cleb was in the area and he would call me. He did call within 5 minutes and a short time later was knocking on my door. Caleb diagnosed the problem in less than a minute; some water in the drain hose had caused a sensor to stop the furnace. This was a design defect with the furnace itself which Cleb completely remedied in about 15 minutes. Kudos to both Twyla and Caleb. They took care of us, and I'd give them 10 stars if I could. I just can't say enough good about them and the whole Arnie's team. They are all outstanding. Folks, if you have any problem or issue with your heating or air conditioning I highly recommend Arnie's. Not only are they extremely responsive, but they really know their stuff when it comes to HVAC issues and problems. These guys are experts; I believe they can fix any HVAC issue or problem. The folks at Arnie's are the only ones I will call if we ever have another problem with our furnace or air conditioning. read more

These guys failed to fully pressure test the pex lines in my new home after installation resulting in massive flooding. They utilized their "affiliate" to remedy it who did a minimalistic and poor job of restoring the damage (probably because I was lead to believe their were doing the restoration as a "favor" because Arnie throws them a lot of business. Their negligence caused me massive inconvenience for the MONTHS it took to repair. Before the restoration was even complete the job manager who was handling it was fired and no one ever fully even finished restoring things. Tried to get ahold of Arnie multiple times without success. It was a pretty obvious "who's calling" - put on hold "sorry he isn't available" or "sorry he is in a meeting" from the secretary. The initial tech who came out was kind enough to admit that it was clearly their fault, gave me the faulty part and went on the record with it all. I haven't decided if I'm going to take it to the next level yet or not. There is no question their negligence depreciated the value of my home. For full disclosure, their work appears to have been completely limited to the plumbing side of their business so I cannot speak to their HVAC work since I don't think they did that part of my home. read more

I called in an emergency because a pipe came loose and water was gushing into our basement. The gentleman on the phone told us how to turn it off ourselves, and was headed our way when we finally got the main turned off. We didn't need him to come anymore, and I feel badly about that, but here is my positive review to hopefully help them out. I tried Arnies for the first 4 weeks ago. They came out with 3 items on the ticket. They failed on 2, did a bad job on the 3rd and charged me full price on all 3. Over $500!! I have spoke to 3 different people including Arnie and they continue to pass the buck. I have now made 7 calls, it's over 3 weeks ago and was just told, "they will try to get back to me later on next week." VERY POOR SERVICE AND ACCOUNTABILITY!! read more

Our house flooded and our insurance agency recommended Compass who contracted work to Arnie's Plumbing. Now, a couple of years later, we had our toilet replaced only to find out that the plumbing work done by Arnie's Plumbing has been leaking waste water into the floor and crawlspace ever since Arnie's re-seated the toilet. When contacted Compass passed the buck to Arnie's Plumbing and Arnie said they only guarantee their work for ONE year. Insurance may have paid for our flooded house but I had to pay $500 to have water and mold damaged floor replaced. Thanks, Arnie's, we hired you to clean up water damage and PREVENT mold, not INDUCE it for the next few years! It's also convenient to know that you won't guarantee a toxic leak that may not even be noticed until a couple years after your "1 Year" guarantee. read more
