This guys a complete looser. Let's star with this. He will answer your call right up to the moment…read morehe gets you to commit. Then when he has you locked in, he blows you off and ignores your calls. After I committed to having him come out (and stop looking for someone else to do the work) he fails at every step along the way. 1. He said- "send me your email so I can send you a formal estimate ". Never did. 2. I txt him about 1/2 before he was to arrive...nothing. Called at the time of the apt...Nothing 3. Txt'd and called multiple times. Finally answer my txt 1 hour after the apt time telling me he's still at work. 4. I said fine keep coming, but "KEEP ME POSTED". Nothing 5. 4 hours after the apt...Nothing. 6. Txtd again and said can you come tomorrow... Yes. 1pm. Ok again"KEEP ME POSTED" 7. It's now 2pm. I never heard a peep from this guy. What an F'n looser.

It's incredible enough just to find a responsive mobile mechanic, and Tony's Mobile Auto Service…read moreredefines what it means to go above and beyond. He's knowledgeable and communicative, he prices fairly, and most importantly, he values honesty and integrity above all else. I was broken down at a rest stop in a beast of a vehicle, model year 1989, after a faulty starter set off a Rube Goldberg machine of mechanical issues. Anthony did everything from calling other mechanics (including the one who had last serviced my vehicle) to help diagnose, to arranging the tow truck, to coordinating with a buyer when I ultimately decided to sell my vehicle. His associate John was also incredibly communicative and prompt, and even offered to run to a convenience store for me if I needed anything. Both of them were also meticulous about proper Covid safety protocols. Anthony talked me through my options every step of the way, he always made sure I approved something before ordering a part or working on a repair, and he never charged me for anything unexpected. Getting the job done right and delivering what he promises is his top priority, and I can't thank him enough.

I drove my 1972 Cadillac Eldorado resto-mod from Los Angeles to Chicago for a Cadillac convention…read more After 2 weeks of delicious deep dish pizza, museums, and tours, I was ready to return. I went to start my car and discovered the battery was dead. AAA replaced the battery, and discovered the engine would crank but would not turn over. I needed to find a repair shop or make arrangements to ship it home. I began a Google search and quickly began calling "classic auto repair shops", asking for help. The replies ranged from "We can't take you for 2 weeks" to "We don't work on cars that old". I finally dialed Old School Classics in Monee IL. Bruce listened patiently to my predicament and said he would help. I had the car towed from downtown Chicago to his shop in Monee. Bruce greeted me and began working on it right away, with help from Mike and Ray. By the end of the day Bruce had isolated the problem to the EFI control module, one of the many modifications I had made to improve performance. Bruce continued working on my car first thing next morning. He reached technical support at Holley, who helped him verify that that the ECM module was fine. They directed Bruce to a hidden relay that tested bad. After replacing the relay, the engine fired up perfectly. I was very grateful to pay this bill, be on my way and avoid a $4,000 charge to ship the car back home. My car ran perfectly for the 2,000 mi trip back to Los Angeles. Bruce, Mike, and Ray are honest "Old School" people. You can trust their expertise. They deliver excellent service quickly and efficiently.
