I have been going here for 25 years and I have always received the best care. I walk in and right away there is a can I help you find anything. Whether I am buying a Christmas Tree, a special herb I just heard about or something needed for the classroom, they are always helpful. If they do not know the answer they go out of their way to find it. I have also had them order special items and they let me know as soon as they arrive. Now with the Corona Virus, I can order online and do a drive by pickup. read more

We booked a landscape design from Armstrong. Took quite a bit of time on the phone telling the person exactly what we wanted. Advised them that we lived outside their 10 mile radius. She put us on hold to get the ok from the store manager to go the extra distance. The manager ok'd the extra distance if we paid $75 extra, which we agreed to. They took our money and said someone would be in touch to make the appointment. A could of days later we received a call from Amstrong "corporate office" telling us that in fact they would not honor their agreement and we were too far (28 miles). The person from corporate, Betsy, told me "we aren't trying to screw you" but we won't be fulfilling our agreement. A little strange but she was just the messenger for the manager, who apparently was too busy to tell me himself (what a pro?). I called the local store and they were surprised that "corporate" would cancel on us but their was nothing they could do. I don't have anything to say about the store as they were nice enough. But, one would think "corporate" would have more sense than to turn away business (which would have been a lot of money) and do it without even seeming to give a crap about me as a customer. I will never given them any of my money for anything and I will make sure I tell all my friends and family what a crap organization they are. read more

I bought a fiddle leaf fig tree a few months ago and overpaid for it. It was 165 dollars but very beautiful so I decided to take the plunge and buy it anyways. I have two other figs in my house that are thriving so I was confident nothing would happen to it. I got it home and it immediately started losing its leaves. I've called several times and gone in but I get absolutely no help. Just a "we have a strict no return policy on house plants". It is very frustrating because the tree had to have had a disease as there is no other explanation for it dying. I would not buy any house plants from here ever again. You're way better going to Home Depot as they will allow you to return anything no matter how long you have had it. read more

WOW. I must have got the dud of the complete staff based on the reviews I've just read. I bought two Heirloom Tomato plants in the spring. One Great White & one Brandy Wine. I brought in eight samples of the Great White, which is supposed to be a large meaty tomato, the largest was two inches in diameter & the smallest was a half inch in diameter, all were ripe. My question to the gentleman, who said he was a tomato expert, which I requested, was "why are these tomatoes so small?" He asked the condition of the plants, how I watered them, how I fertilized them, we're they root bound, & were they kept in the sun. I answered all his questions and his conclusion for the small tomatoes was "I don't know why they're so small. Just keep doing what you're doing & see if they get larger later in the growing season." Wow what an expert & I drove 42 miles round trip for nothing. I then went online & discovered the reasons for the small tomatoes. SHAME ON ARMSTRONG FOR HIRING SOMEONE WHO WILL NOT ASK FOR HELP WHEN HE DOESN'T HAVE AN ANSWER. read more

I've really appreciated the knowledgeable staff and nice selection of plants, for the inside and outside of my home. When you buy a newly built home, as so many have in the Temecula/Murrieta area, lots of landscaping and planting needs to be done. The people at Armstrong's have been excellent at guiding me toward the right plants for our climate. Love their houseplants too. read more

Went in today to grab vegetables for my garden. They had a great selection and the prices were great, ex single strawberry plant at HD was 2.98 six pack here was 3.99, some prices were the same as HD but none were more. The selection was huge and there were several people available to explain different varieties etc. great place it will definitely be my go to place for plants from know on. read more

Beautiful selection of indoor and outdoor plants. Very helpful staff. I was there to pick up some indoor plants and the selection and condition of the plants were really stunning! Only hope I can keep them that happy. I did peruse the outdoor plants too and they were organized by type or use with lots of helpful information including flowering photos. I can see where they make this easy. Whoever said it was like Roge'rs Nursery was way off in comparison but this is a nice place! Will be back! read more

I joined the "Armstrong Advantage Program" to receive updates on weekly sales. We bought fruit trees for our yard not available at other places. There was also a sale on big shade trees and my husband insisted on buying three of them - lovely jacaranda (and we don't have pavement underneath to worry about the blossoms falling). They look amazing and are establishing well due to the recommendation of soil amendments. Was pleasantly surprised to find that I had accumulated points through the "Armstrong Advantage Program" that filled my huge raised planter bed with plants without a dent in my wallet. Started small and growing well... highly recommend regularly coming here especially with the sales (and senior discount is available every day - bring grandma or grandpa if you are too young to qualify). read more

My wife and I went to Armstrong Garden Center in Temecula for the first time. We heard they had a nice selection of roses but we found otherwise. We ended up purchasing one rose for $39.95 although they had a slim selection. Lowes sold us three roses the day before for $14.95 each and had a much better inventory. We needed a certain color and we found it at Armstrong. But our complaint has to do with an overbearing policy on coronavirus. We were met at the front gate by a young woman who forced shoppers to stand in line admitting people only when other shoppers had left the store. 90% of their inventory is outside in fresh air. She closed the iron gate standing guard as if we would charge the store through the gate. When it was our turn to pass through the gate, we were told to stand 6 feet apart while shopping whereupon I told her we were married and live together, 40 years by the way. She then told us it was up to us if we wanted to stand next to one another. It was completely absurd although apparently she was instructed by management to impose harsh rules on anyone who was unlucky enough to be there. This business is guilty of continuing the fear of dying from the current health crisis. They need to lighten up. We will never shop at the store again. read more

They have a great selection of organic and standard veggies and herb plants for the garden. Plus, they have a huge election of plants and trees. The workers there are always friendly, helpful and never pushy. Some items are better prices than Home Depot or Lowes and some are more expensive. However, you can't beat the service and selection. read more

My daughters Girl Scout troop came here for a tour and I fell in love with this place. Penny walked us through and gave us basic information about the plants and their care. She was so fun and made it so enjoyable. I am considering taking her gardening course on Saturdays. read more

i spoke to debbie today at your temecula store regarding our bienheim apricot tree that is not doing so well . i was told by a neighbor that it will never do well here in fallbrook because it is in zone 10 . your debbie was so very nice to say it will do ok if we fertilize it in october. and give it plenty of water. we planted it a year and a half ago. and it did have about 5 apricots on the tree this summer. but now it looks awful. and this tree was not cheap. we bought it at your armstrong store in long beach. but because i did n ot sign up with our phone # they can't find my order. oh well a fool and their money are soon parted. i learned a value lesson. sure wish i would have dealt with your store instead of long beach. debbie was so kind in giving me some hope for our apricot tree. i'am 80 years old and before i go to heaven i would sure like to make some apricot jam. thank you for having such a nice young lady as debbie as one of your employees.we will be in to buy some flowers for this fall season as is cools off a little. thank you sincerely carol winn that loves apricot trees. . my e-mail address is lower case mysarasdolls@aol.com home address is 532 tumble creek terrace 92028. read more

I usually only write positive reviews but today I am making an exception. This is the fourth and last time I will come into this store. They never acknowledge your presence when you come in here. The employees are in their own world. Sometimes they out number the guests and still can't find the time for a simple hello and welcome or I will be with you in a moment. I stood there (at apparently the wrong check out window) for a while while multiple employees failed to acknowledge I was there. Then finally I was told to move to another window even though someone had just been helped where I was standing before me. read more

oBoy how disappointing in a business that had been so well thought of...they finally get a couple of vry good informed staff and was making it a pleasure to visit there..They had 2 great girls who swould welcome you know your names and help you thur your selections and actualy en up buying much more than you thought about..so i go in and look for my favorite Staff my dog loves her and my autistic child was always so happy to be greeted by her i knew something was wrong when i went in no one smiling cashier crying seems they have a no action lying manager does not help clients and bullies the staff especially woman found this out by asking the staff what happened told she was bullied and chose to leave the job she loved and now they are doing the same to the cashier one old time staffer says shes about to quit because the upper mangement an nepotism within the company they donot handle problem management because of family and lose those that care so sorry not a business i wsih to ever go to again beware they do not treat their emplyee well and lie to customer on orders becasue the assistant manager is tooo lazy to look or help so just responds not in read more

I had the most wonderful experience when I contracted with Armstrong Garden Center in Temecula to plan and execute my backyard landscaping. Shari Gift, the designer, came to my home, listened to my wishes, and then designed a most perfect plan. Next, I discussed the cost and financing with Kevin, the store manager, and he was caring & helpful. He guided me to a special financing offer they have at no interest. I couldn't have asked for better support, he was always responsive to my calls and most supportive. Then came the work. Shari and Kevin were with me all the way, in the scheduling of the work and planting. Shari was right there to guide the landscapers, I never worried about where the plants were suppose to go, what kind of soil was being used, or if they were doing their job correctly. My yard was perfect, beautiful, beyond my expectations! Then 3 weeks later, Shari came out again to make sure everything was still perfect and growing well. And it was. I was impressed with the knowledgeable staff and the tree replacement guarantee. I ordered 19 fruit trees in the 15 gal. size for installation on a slope. Armstrong's Installers came out and gave me advice on the tree placement, watering and how to identify and treat pests that can harm the trees. They did an expert installation job that included digging in hard ground, cutting out old tree roots, mixing planting-mix and Sure Start into the native soil. They also formed large watering basins for all the trees. I recommend Armstrong Garden Centers wholeheartedly and without reservation. read more

My mother and I were here just a few days ago, and I have to say I was honestly impressed. We spent nearly over an hour with an employee, Patrick O'toole, and he was fantastic. He was completely patient, he knew almost all the answers to every single one of our miscellaneous questions, and admitted when he didn't know the answer and would go ask for us. He never seemed in a rush to get us out and he seemed very honest and knowledgable. We will be going back to talk to Patrick every time we need help! read more
