This is the fourth nursery I visited close to Hemet. They have a huge nursery, friendly staff and great selection of plants except for herbs and veggies. So I was a little disappointed. Second time I have been here both times the place is so massive with so many plant selection that are not over priced and dying! The best thing about this place besides the plants is the service. Knowledgeable, friendly, and they help you with everything including carrying the plants up front and to your car if needed. Not only that they offer you advice on how to take care your plant. I love this place my first plant is 4 years old and beautiful still so I had to redo my garden again and here I am same great quality and service thank you for all the help. Would never return. Purchased three plants from them and went over there four times--all were very different and unexpected experiences. First time, great experience, no issues, employee was helpful. Second time, the worker offered us a discount (without us asking for one), if we paid in cash, but then said he had no change when we gave him a $100 bill for a $87 charge. He told us he could not give us a receipt ("computer down", but would email us one. He never did, and the next time we went in, they had no record of our purchase. Cash in pocket--no money trail for employee or taxes for owner. Either way--SHADEY. The last time we went there to exchange one of the plants that had died two months earlier, they refused to return the shrub saying we had ruined it by planting it. We showed them the shrub and manager called the owner, who offered us half off another plant, but would not guarantee this one. We decided against buying anything else from them and coming back. We spent more than $500 on three plants and they don't back their products. Not the guarantee we were told when we purchased the plants. Very shadey and dishonest---you've been warned. Go see Santiago at L&M Nursery, he runs a great nursury and backs up all of his plants 100%. read more

We came here to pick out our trees and flowers for our front yard and backyard and we were impressed by their selection. They have tons of acres full of plants, flowers and trees! My favorite place is the greenhouse. They have so many beautiful flowers and rose selection. They also treat and care for all the flowers to help them flourish before buying! I worked with Josh who was super knowledgeable and friendly! He made us feel welcomed and provided a lot of insight towards our vision. We will definitely be returning customers. The prices are a little higher than the other local nurseries we checked out but it's definitely worth it because of the quality and selection. Best nursery in the area! I've visited Armstrong in Temecula and Moon Nursery. Bit overpriced and quality didn't seem worth it to me. I've purchased from Armstrong before and the quality was fine but the price was a bit high. French Valley Nursery has a fantastic selection and the prices were moderate. Yes, you can save by shopping a big box retailer (Home Depot or Lowe's) but you also get what you pay for. I've never been satisfied with the selection or quality of those stores. The staff at French Valley Nursery was extremely knowledgeable about every plant on their grounds. There is a wide variety of drought tolerant, desert friendly plants as well as some of the more tropical variety as well. We bought succulents today and they had a wide variety to choose from. All shapes and sizes available for any budget. The small ones were just $10 which is a great price and some of the bigger pots were $30-$50 but those are more mature plants that are ready to thrive. The staff was also very helpful in gathering the plants and delivering them to my truck which made getting in and out easy. Paid via Square on their iPad right at the back of the truck. Very impressed with the service, quality, and price. Will certainly it be shopping here again! read more

They don't give a guarantee on the plants living after transplanting like Home Depot does, but they're half the cost. read more

We pass by this nursery almost daily and always admired the beautiful layout of the plants. We finally stopped by to purchase a dwarfed olive tree for a bonsai landscape and Ismael was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful! Sadly we tried another local nursery that was not as personal and too commercial that we did not get good customer service. We came back to French Valley Nursery as they were minutes from closing and still received the best service! Lexi and Nicole were so kind, enthusiastic and professional. Lexi is again, very knowledgeable which is totally helpful when we can not find what we were originally looking for and had her available to make suggestions resulting in a purchase. So far we have had great encounters with staff members on every trip here. It truly says a lot in this day and age where employees don't seem to care about making a sale or their reflection on the business as customer service representatives; not an issue at French Valley Nursery.
