LOCATION: Tucked away is a small outlet near Elvas Ave a few blocks from the Mimosa House. DECOR: In a nice office/room inside a physical therapy clinic. Minimalistic and cozy. PRICE: About $100-$150 depending on each clients needs. STAFF: Ryan Caputi is the owner/operator and not only has he helped me with a physical disability obtained in the military and helped in a way any other treatments haven't, he has taught me so much more about diet and sleep just based on who he is as a person and how he loves his life. I really feel better physically and mentally by the time I leave. EXPERIENCE: Let me tell you about the day I nearly came to tears after I give you some context. I have been dealing with degenerative disc disease, arthritis, and spinal stenosis with most of the pain stemming from my lower back. It negatively effects my ability to hinge and rotate at the waist as well as my ability to participate in most sports. So first we work on my lower back. Ryan's touch is light. Too light for me. I'm thinking "this can't possibly do anything. Doesn't feel like he's deep enough," but I just went with it. Next, Ryan says he'll work on my psoas tendon which is usually cause for a lot of hip and lower back pain. In order to do this, he must go through my stomach. First off, hell no! I can't even set my own hand on my stomach when I'm laying down because it's so sensitive. But it's the only way. So here it goes. I breathe deeply and slowly to prepare for the discomfort, but there was none. He was literally pressing through by stomach and I didn't die. I was in disbelief. We finally finish with that portion and Ryan asks me to sit up when I'm ready and then stand up. I sit up and wait a minute like usual. Then I stand up and can't believe what just happened so I had to sit down and stand up again to make sure it wasn't a fluke. For the first time in almost 10 years I stood up WITHOUT ANY PAIN. To no exaggeration, I had to fight the tears back. The next day I had a spin class and could feel soreness in my muscles. The Rolfing had gotten much deeper than I thought. After the class my muscles felt great. After the class, everyone wanted a fitness photo. So I do the splits which I have been able to do for a while, but not without stretching beforehand. Not only that, when I jumped up (and yes. I do mean JUMPED UP) off the ground, I couldn't even form words. I was in a time warp envisioning my past physical trauma slipping away. Now, my psoas is still putting up a fight over time, but I finally know exactly what is causing the most pain and I feel more optimistic about the future of my physical health than ever before!

Dr. Simmons is the best chiropractor I have ever been to--ever!…read more From my initial call with Cole, to my check-in at the practice, to the incredibly comprehensive assessment with Dr. Simmons, the entire experience was outstanding. Dr. Simmons took the time to explain each adjustment as he performed it and then conducted follow-up assessments to evaluate the results--all within the hour. I have never experienced this level of thoroughness from a chiropractor. I will be visiting Sacramento every other month, and whenever I return, I absolutely plan to visit Oak Point. Sincere, compassionate, professional, and incredibly comprehensive. Dr. Simmons is an outstanding chiropractor. Thank you so much, Dr. Steve and Cole!

I started training but hurt my back after a few weeks and could barely walk much less run. But Dr Steve came to the rescue. After a while I started jogging again and gradually rebuilt distance - thanks to the periodic adjustments and stretching suggestions from I received along the way from Dr. Steve. I completed the run 2 weeks before the Big 7-0, and there is no way I could have done it without Dr. Steve keeping me pieced together. I have seen a number of chiropractors from time to time throughout my adult life, and Dr Steve is hands down the best I've ever received care from. I don't say this lightly: Dr. Steve is an excellent chiropractor.

If you're in any kind of pain Kevin is the man to call!I cannot recommend him enough. He uses…read moreNeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT), which is a technique that looks at how the nervous system and muscles work together to identify the root cause of pain and movement issues -- not just treat the symptoms! This is KEY. He is one of the two instructors in all of the US that does this type of therapy! What's amazing about NKT is that it helps uncover compensation patterns in the body, one muscle may not be functioning properly, so another muscle overworks to compensate, creating pain, tightness, instability, or chronic issues elsewhere. Instead of just stretching or strengthening random areas, he is able to pinpoint what the body is actually doing and why! I've honestly never experienced anything like it. His knowledge of the body is incredible, and the way he connects movement patterns, muscle activation, posture, and pain is seriously impressive. Every session feels intentional and personalized, and I always leave feeling like my body is moving better and making more sense! After doing the correction exercises he gives me I feel better within days! If you've been struggling with chronic tightness, pain, injuries, instability, or feeling like nothing else has fully helped, I highly recommend calling him! I will forever be grateful for his talent!
