Dr. Troy Mauvais fixed a certain lower back area I couldn't move for a month back in 2024 he felt the problem area and knew which spot it was and fixed it. Dr .Troy Mauvais is the only chiropractor that touched my back felt the problem and showed me on the Skelton said my lower disk needs to be popped out and is hitting a nerve. I had same spot issue a few days ago after went in and another person "adjusted" told them I had the same issue a year back. Did the neck crack and back crack and said "at least you got a ton of cracks" I went to another location the same day Dr. Brisbane gave me a 70 percent relief. But still had slight pain next day 2 days later came back in Dr.Mauvais felt my back said it's right here, cracked it and instantly felt the pop and release. I like to share and caution others so you understand price packages offered. I paid around $168 to start and an additional two months of $69.50 before I could even cancel my service. I was uncomfortable with the service after first 3-4 visits and couldn't cancel at that point. So effectively I paid over $300 for service not received. I believe if you are new to chiropractor and/or uncomfortable with the treatment you should be able to cancel at any point. I had a great experience with Dr. Jacqueline Kosak. She was incredibly helpful, really took the time to target the areas I've been struggling with the most, and made a noticeable difference. On top of that, she's super friendly and easy to talk to, which made the whole visit comfortable and stress-free. I don't know what I was thinking My boyfriend started to complain of a hurt back and we tried massage therapy first but he felt like a joint was stuck or something. He asked which chiropractor I had seen and I told him this one. He knows about my bad experience but based on the day I knew the male doctor was going to be there and Paul doesn't have any "special requests" like I do. Paul comes back home a little while later and tells me about his experience. He told me the male doctor made fun of his speech impediment. I was fuming. In what world is that okay?? When the doctor asked what Paul's job was Paul said "mechanical designer" and the doctor responded with something like "I can't put m-m-mechanical d-d-designer on the sheet here" Paul was shocked. He let the doctor finish his job because Paul was really hurting. It's clear Paul has a speech impediment. When I called the office, I never even said his name. I talked to the front desk girl and told her the doctor had made fun of my boyfriend's stutter she knew who I was talking about. When my boyfriend gets upset sometimes it makes his speech worse so he didn't feel like he could say anything himself. He initially didn't want me to call either but he was feeling so bad I eventually convinced him to let me call for him. The doctor ended up calling him an hour or so later to apologize for offending him. Paul accepted the apology and also got to tell the doctor he would never go back due to this unprofessional behavior. And that's that. No one from management has ever reached out to me regarding my negative experience and if they don't care about my neck being twisted against my refusal, I doubt they will care about offending my boyfriend. Even when I give them benefit of the doubt and multiple chances, they still don't care. I've lived in Folsom for years and hate to talk negative about a local business- though this is a chain the branches are independently operated. TRUST me when I say I have made numerous complaints, calls, and emails. The main customer service line has sent everything to the owners of this place and they have never contacted me. The office girls are very nice and helpful. Only good things to say about them. read more

Dr Kosak is incredible. I've had lower back problems (lumbar to sacrial region) since 2008. I first saw Dr Kosak in 2024 and she got movement in that area for the first time in 16 years. I live near Elk Grove and the drive to see her is worth it. I love the Chiro's at Elk Grove, but if I need the lower back movement, Dr Kosak is slept on. Don't let her slight stature fool you. IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING EXTREME PAIN: True story: Towards the middle/end of April I began to have the most extreme pain in my right shoulder, going down my arm towards my elbow. I thought I might have slept on in wrong or ???.  I took 'many' Tylenols for the pain, adjusted the way I slept, used heating pads & even ice packs, I could not find releif from the excruciating pain. The pain kept me up at night, for weeks. I did go to  Kaiser for x-rays, just to be sure I hadn't pulled something or ??? Then when the pain started to go to my right hip & down my leg. I knew that I had to go to a Chiropractor.  Just so happens I seen The Joint Chiro advertisement on Facebook. I went in on 6-23-25 for my 1st visit. The 1st day I went in I could barely walk, I had to literally use a cup to tinkle in. :(  I could not sit, move, or lift my right leg. The pain in my shoulder, arm, neck, hip & leg was extreme. My 2nd visit, I was still in extreme pain. However, after my 1st adjustment - the next day - there was an improvement. I was able to walk. Yes - I literally had to pinch my hip hard, to move my leg enough to even go up small steps, still could not sit, still require a cup to tinkle. But it was an improvement. My 3rd visit was even better. Dr Mauvals, was able to get movement in my back, & neck.  Yes, the adjustment hurt - but in a weird way - it did feel good. When I got up today I did not have to pinch my hip to walk. I was able to move much better. And could sit to tinkle. YAY! :) Today was my 4th visit with Dr Mauval. He was able to get movement in my back, & neck again. Sure, I do feel sore from the adjustments.  However, I am looking forward to seeing how much better that I can move tomorrow. Maybe sit without it hurting like the dickens, lol I will be going back in 1 more time this week. For my 5th visit with Dr. Marvel. SERIOUSLY, If you have ever hurt like I have described-  PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, 'DO NOT HESITATE'  to go in to see Doctor Mauval @ the Folsom location!! Horrible service! Came here for a quick walk in appointment and got left in the waiting room with no assistance! Had 3 other people walk in and scan their card and got helped in the order they came in. Mind you I've been waiting for the front office lady that did a disappear act on me to come back and assist me. Spent 25min in the waiting room with no assistance at all! I ended up walking out and took the info sheet with me they had asked me to fill out! I would not recommend this location to any new customers. I never do bad reviews but unfortunately for my first time coming to this location since I was in the area traveling doing some work, I had walked in, scanned my card and did the normal routine for all clients to walk in waiting area for my turn. I was quickly told to leave the area and they were with new customers with a non-welcoming vibe. The energy the female chiropractor was negative. Then I was quickly told it would be a 30 plus minute wait or more. I honestly wouldn't have minded waiting but the negative and non-welcoming vibe I received was just unprofessional. Again I'm not the kind of person to put bad reviews or even complain, but I'm hoping in the future patients seeking help from a professional chiropractor shouldn't have to feel like coming to this location was more of a burden rather then being excited to help someone in need. The chiropractor took the time to listen to what was hurting and asked questions about my day-to-day life to see what could be causing me pain. He gave me directions for aftercare as well. It's easy to communicate my issues to them and they both were able to adjust my back using techniques that I preferred without jeopardizing the results. I always feel better able to move and perform all my activities (ballet, Pilates, walks, bicycling, swimming, etc. ) if I am consistent with my treatments. And, they are conveniently located for me. Love this location as I only come weekends (sundays) as I live in the bay during the week for work. The staff is so nice, personable and informative. The front desk girl is super cool/nice and dr troy is super detailed and helpful. Since coming, my mile time (marathon runner and former Ironman triathlete) has since improved by about a minute and a half (9:30 to 7:45) with the same training. I had been dealing with a severe kink in my neck for over 2 weeks. I had tried everything, including message, heat, cold, Motrin, Tylenol and couldn't find any relief. It is very clean, with state of the art equipment. I bought a reasonable package that allowed me several visits, at any of their Joint facilities. It's clean, fairly priced and Dr. Jamahl Gow, D.C., is AMAZING. Dr. Gow is strong, confident (without being cocky) I felt safe and heard. His adjustment technique is smooth, and thorough. He adjusted my neck last. Again, he's strong, and smooth and it happened so fast, I involuntarily burst into tears, so great was the relief and release of pressure. I'm so grateful to have stumbled upon Dr. Gow. I was leaving for Europe the next day and feared how I would manage traveling with so much pain and no sleep.
