I came to her because for several years, I would wake up every morning with neck pain so severe, sometimes I would throw up from the pain. First time she saw me, she noted that the pain was coming from a twisted back and stretching would not have helped. After adjusting me for two months, the pain went away. I love Dr. Collins so much that even now that she's not working with any insurance and charging me directly, I'm paying out of pocket to see her. I first went to Dr. Roberts after being referred by my massage therapist who had raved about what a great chiropractor she was. After a thorough exam, Dr. Roberts informed me that I would need a specialist for my particular issue and that she would be happy to give me a referral. Thank god for Dr.Collins! My daughter had horrible acid reflex and colic, she cried ALL the time. Starting from the first time we came in to see Dr.Collins we noticed an immediate change in her temperament. Her eyebrows were no longer furrowed, she began to sleep better, and was actually happy. I had never been to a chiropractor before and didn't really believe in them but I was at my wits end. I had, what I called, a muscle spasm - I couldn't turn my head because it was on my shoulder at the base of my neck.I had been suffering with it for almost 4 years, I tried physical therapy for 3 months, 3 times a week, I tried dry needle treatment at my primary care dr., I tried TENS machine, shots of cortisone, ice, etc., nothing helped more than a few hours. I went to Dr. Collins because she was close and she was approved by Kaiser. I went 2 or 3 days a week at first and then less as time went by, it took about 4 months but I was encouraged because it was improving. Sometimes it seemed she really wasn't doing much but I didn't question. I am so relieved that it has improved to the point that I seldom think of it, what a relief! She also was very supportive and informative about other health issues that could be adding to the muscle and nerve problem Thank you Dr. Collins. read more

This practice has been sold to a quack that just got out of school less than a year ago. She is inexperienced & actually caused me more pain after I saw her. I went in with a pinch in my neck & after my appt I was left with a shooting pain from my neck, down my shoulder & my back next to my spine. This provider never looked at my documents before she saw me, so I had to verbally tell her about my medical history... this is redundant. I have worked for doctors for over 35 years & I would bring attention to the patient's medical history by circling the medical problems in RED & by verbally discussing them with the doctor prior to the patient even being seen by the doctor. This provider did NOT take the time to go over all the paperwork that i filled out before even coming into the room that i was placed in. She did NOT adjust my full body, she was too scared to since I had pain in my neck & a headache. A doctor is supposed to take a full history & then treat the body as a whole. She actually spent 40 seconds turning my head to the left & then turning my head to the right... for this i was charged $45 & that was a special COUPON fee. I am in more pain now, then before seeing this provider. When I informed the office about the additional pain 2 days later, the staff called me back & told me that I would have to pay another $45 to be treated again. This provider did not even bother to return my call to discuss my symptoms with me directly, or to inquire about the level of pain that i was in. Once I paid for my visit in full, on the day of treatment, I was treated completely different by the staff. The office could have cared less about my pain or the treatment that i received from the provider. i specifically asked the staff to inform the provider about my additional pain & that the treatment had made my condition worse. This provider is too new to the field & was more concerned that the wrong documents had been given to me to fill out, then she was with my treatment & health concerns. I was in the office for 1 hour & 35 minutes for a 40 SECOND chiropractic adjustment. This provider is new to operating a practice & fresh out of school, so don't be scarred by becoming her guinea pig. I was unfortunate enough to have been completely ignored & have my health worsened & jeopardized by this provider. My visit was 5 days ago & I am still in pain. I would NOT recommend this office to anyone & if you care about your body, you will not allow this provider to treat you. If I could have given this office ZERO stars, that is how I would have rated this practice. Again, I cannot speak to the knowledge or experience of the previous doctor who owned this practice, I am rating the female provider (Dr Collins) who bought this practice & the current patient list at Broadstone Chiropractic in Folsom. I am NOT rating Dr Roberts who previously owned this practice & the chiropractor that I was hoping to be treated by. read more
