    Don't buy from this company they scammed me with a mystery box. They advertised "Every box holds a tactically-sound setup inside; try for the jackpot- after all, you're guaranteed a good deal, with a shot at an amazing one."I paid 350$ with shipping and handling and definitely didn't get my money worth.They sent me a varitas lite plate carrier thats worth 75$ emailed them multiple times asking for my money back and yet to hear from them not to mention it took them over a month to ship it to me.for sure not going to do business with them and i hope the people reading this don't either. They take your money then forget about you hoping you'll die horrible company!!!

    Using this review as a heads up that the showroom is closed instead of a bad review, as after dealing with these guys online, and getting their armor from third party locations, this company is bad ass! Highly recommend, even without a showroom

    Take reviews with a grain of salt. I'm seeing a huge influx of bad reviews from impatient people saying they waited 3 weeks with no gear and now they're mad. When the sites clearly say 5-9 weeks when we all placed our orders. I'm one of them. Besides waiting most haven't even owned the product or waited past 2 weeks... This is an honest review of this company. Carriers: Their product is top notch. Especially for the price. I had low expectations for the quality of their Veritas and Testudo carriers and carrier accessories but was actually really pleased. I would put this on the level of my HRT and MayFlower rig that was 3x the price. But these being a newer design obviously are far more superior with the new standard features others like the mayflower are missing. Plates: Originally I ordered the Lvl III plates. But with the long wait time I did more research and figured I wanted III+ plates. I changed my order and had 0 issue from their staff. They were actually really helpful. These steel plates are heavy in hand. But once in the best it's actually really manageable. No where near as light as soft armor but still. In hand you think there is no way you can carry these. But once in their carrier and on your body you can easily wear the vest all day. Shipping: Again I was one of the people who was a little stressed with the shipping times. But I was told 5-7 weeks for my order due to COVID and got my gear with in 7 weeks. So you can't knock them for that. Especially when every other company I went to had the same exact wait times for orders. RTS, HRT, Crye anyone you can think of all had 4 to 7 week lead times on their gear. So how can you blame AR500 for the same issue? Only thing I could knock them for is, instead of boosting sales and taking more orders you're already behind on. Just list out of stock until you get more product in to avoid this type of backlash. Customer service: This was one of the best and worst things about them during the pandemic. As far as their staff they were more than helpful. I made corrections and changes to my order 3 times. Each of which every rep was more than happy to not only help but talked about it with me while we did it with support on my decisions. RTS tactical and some other companies I called and even ordered from were honestly some of the worst. When I went to cancel my order from RTS tactical before ordering from AR500 the guy was basically talking shit because I wanted to cancel and his attitude was basically like I should be lucky to be able to order from them and buy their shit. And he was like a car salesmen trying to convince me to not cancel and offered me all these extra deals but still had attitude about it. Some young punk you could tell hated that job over the phone. As far as the customer service system for AR500, that's where it lacks. Some days unless I called literally first thing in the morning you were not going to get in touch with anyone. It literally just stopped talking calls and would disconnect you or send you to a voicemail that wasn't even in use anymore. Their chat was a little better. But sometimes the site wouldn't even let you start a chat. That said again as soon as you got a rep on the phone they were completely helpful and awesome to work with. When my wife gets out of the service and has to check back in her issued gear. We will be ordering another carrier and plates from here. I won't buy another $300+ kit ever again. No need to with this level of quality for half the price. Again just look at what reviews you're reading. It's a huge trend with cancel culture to bash AR500 cause grown ass men can't wait longer than 2 weeks after they agreed on a 5 week wait time. But cry on a review cause it's a movement to try and ruin AR500 and they can hide behind their computer screen cause of their soft ass feelings from people who can't wait. So don't base your idea off a guy who hasn't even touched the product and cries on the internet like a child who can't hold their emotions. Some of while I bet didn't even place orders and just want to come in and bash AR500 cause everyone else is doing it. I waited and am glad I did. AR500 deserves some flack for taking more orders than they can pump. But let's be real, we all know EVERY vendor has a longer than 3 week lead time on this gear. Blame your country and leaders for exploiting the shit out of this situation. I'd say order but be patient. This gear is no different than the $300 carrier I bought before it. Kind of makes me mad I spent 2x the price for a name tag when AR500 has the same quality for half the price lol

    High quantity equipment at a fair price. Their customer support is top notch as well. If you have any issues, they will resolve the problem quickly. Thank you, Michael Moon, for your assistance. My issue was resolved quickly and satisfactorily. I can't speak highly enough about this company's patriotism as well. Edit - I didn't read the reviews until after giving my review but some are absurd. So you had to wait a couple extra weeks to receive your gear during a pandemic? Get over it. As a combat Vet and former Army Weapon and Tactics Instructor, I can assure you that it's worth the wait. I trust this equipment just as much as I trusted my IOTV in Iraq and on the weapon ranges.

    Beware of poor shipping and handling. The items were horribly packed and unsecurely shipped in a FedEx plastic envelope instead of a sturdy cardboard box. I was concerned and upset due to the awful shipping possibly compromising the integrity of the products. I received this from the Armored Republic bundle sale (2022 January 26). 1 x AR Concealment Plate Carrier - White Medium 2 x AR500 Armor® Level IIIA Rimelig 10" x 12" Soft Body Armor 2 x AR500 Armor® Blunt Force Trauma Pad - 10" x 12" The AR concealment carrier was folded in half like a piece of paper; therefore it came out wrinkled. All items where tightly stacked together WITHOUT additional protection, like bubble wrap or packing paper, into the FedEx PLASTIC ENVELOPE. AR500 did not even use a cardboard box. Since there was no packaging protection, I have no idea if the plates and trauma pads experienced enough stress during transport to be damaged. Other heavier boxed items could have poked into the items like spikes. I sent an email and photos with my concerns to support@ar500armor.com. The customer support response was quick and professional. Their reply was: "We definitely understand your concern regarding your order and how you received it since it was put into a FedEx envelope. We have passed this concern onto our warehouse team to see what we can do to improve how we pack the concealment carriers in the future. We have had several members of our team look over the condition of your carrier, trauma pads, and soft armor and we have designed the carrier and soft armor to keep integrity and strength even if it is bent and moved in several ways and any folds in the armor and carrier will flatten out over time and we do not see if causing any issues regarding the protection and durability of our products. If there are any issues in the future regarding your carrier and armor when it is used please reach back out to us as we believe in the strength and durability of our products as they are designed to be the highest quality possible." I feel that the Sales team is blaming the Warehouse team and "forwarded" the concern, but nothing will come of it. I feel that I could not be the only person who received the AR Concealment Bundle in a plastic envelope. I decided to keep the items. AR500's return and exchange policy for store credit only is stacked against the buyer. Their return policy would make me lose more money since I would have to pay the return shipping and only get store credit. If I had shipped the items back in the exact same terrible manner, the company would likely deny my claims in its own favor. I have read comments on various sites. I was giving AR500's products a chance to form my own opinions. I do like the product, but not so much for the company now. Sadly, the awful shipping and lack of concern for the customer's first impression upon receiving the package are negatives for me. I will most likely avoid AR500 and its sister site Ironsidebodyarmor. All this disappointment and frustration could have been avoided by simply using a strong cardboard box, instead of a flimsy plastic envelope. Don't forget that FedEx also provides boxes! This is a prime example of a business's failure in customer retention and bad first impression.

I asked an employee if there was an end-cap of 9mm ammunition and he told me that there wasn't. I commented that their shelves had that empty Covid look, and he told me that they hadn't restocked the shelves yet. I wiped the dusty metal shelf, showed him the significant dust my hand picked up, and looked him in the eye. He knew he'd been caught lying, but insisted that morning deliveries hadn't been put out.yet. I commented that he should wear a mask if there was that much dust in their ventilation. Going to the gun counter, there was one employee behind the counter and more than a dozen people waiting to be helped. There is premium ammunition behind the counter, but it's far enough away that you can't read the brand name. Judging by the number of people waiting to be helped, I'm not standing idly for an hour or two to ask what ammunition brands they have. Nowhere else in the store is there 14-15 people waiting to be helped -- and there's inky two sales clerks working the firearms counter. You'd think that store management would add people in firearm sales, as I've had precisely the same experience of actually waiting more than an hour to find out if they carry a certain product needed the next day at a training event. I have no idea what this store is doing. Neither do they.

I came here a few days ago looking for vertical ascend gear out of caves. I was greeted by Jason and he was really helpful and knowledgeable. I needed very specific gear, and Jason was very patient with me and showed me where I could find sit harnesses, chest harness, chest ascender, hand ascende, foot loops, etc. I didn't find exactly what I needed but got a good idea on the things I need to build a personalized vertical gear set for myself. And of course, while I was looking for cave gear, I wandered around looking at all the fabulous gear they have, I was like a kid in a candy store. I could spend hours in here. I started looking at hydration packs as I need to replace mine and found a very nice military edition and will come back to purchase this soon. I also saw plenty of Petzl bags, and very tempted to purchase another. They also carry so much Petzl gear, you will be in heaven here. Also, some great hiking shoes and some sleek, but we'll performing water shoes. I then wandered into kayaks and Jason even showed me the Padillac they have! I've gotten into paddleboarding and kayaking for the summer and now want one of each! This place rents them and sells them. I then went to check out some wetsuit gear, and they have a really nice selection of wetsuits, gloves, booties, etc. I really love this place and it is definitely gonna bankrupt me, but so worth it. High quality gear, more extensive selection than REI and the staff here know what they are talking about. If you need something specialized, this is the place for you. I'll be back here soon!

I was in Arizona in April to participate in a Veterans fundraising event and racquetball tournament. I flew in directly from Europe to Phoenix for those 3/4 days and needed to get two pairs of sneakers in a 12 and a 1/2 wide. Wednesday 4/9/25 - I entered the store to a thunderous and enthusiastic welcome from Abigail. She left the counter and walked up saying hello, then asked me if I was looking for anything specific. She took me to the men's section with my sizes. Unfortunately they had a limited quantity and just plain colors in that size and width. She saw me checking out 3 different styles and offered to check in the back for them. She did and reappeared empty handed but ready to locate them - anywhere!! She started calling adjacent Skechers stores while taking down my hotel name and date of departure( WOW) to see if she could get me a shipment before that day. She also tried online but we could not arrange for a delivery in the time frame I had. I did not get to purchase anything on that day but walked away feeling great about Skechers and the Amazing Abigail who went that extra 500 miles for me. This is a big and clean store. They had a lot of shoes on sale with some great prices. Very impressive layout and even better customer care from Abigail.
