I had driven by The Armed Angler a number of times in the last few weeks. I checked their website and found three items that I was looking for. I drove to the store , found it neat and orderly with a good selection of bait. They did not have any of the items I saw on the website. I've read several of the negative reviews & felt compelled to leave my own review. All of the less than flattering reviews appear to come from individuals who have visited this shop once. While I understand a bad experience is inconvenient, I can say from personal experience that these reviews do not accurately represent Armed Anglers or their staff. Leaving a negative review simply because something was out of stock or an employee may have been having a bad day is not only very harmful to a small business, it depicts an unrealistic expectation that these small shops have to be perfect or carry every item, every day in order to be considered a "good" business. I mean, even stores like Walmart have grumpy employees or inaccuracies on their website. If that's your sole metric to distinguish a good & bad business, perhaps you should stick to shopping at Amazon, instead of bashing a hard working small business. I am in this shop at least once a week & have never experienced anything other than friendly & professional service. ALL of the staff, young & old, are welcoming, knowledgeable & always eager to assist with whatever your needs are. In fact, they will take as much time as necessary, will walk through the isles with you & help you decide what you need. And, unlike many business, they're not just out to make the sale, so to speak. I've witnessed many occasions where a customer was told they didn't need to buy something. Yes, they are sometimes out of stock on items. Came over from east coast to fish/play west coast of Florida for the day. Stopped in picked up some live bait and was pleasantly surprised with the tackle available. Staff helped with coordinates and fishing locations, all paid off with bringing a couple home. Saw dolphin, barracuda and shark while using the info shared by the staff. Horriable customer service , went to purchase firearm from them , older gentleman was very impolite had a nasty attitude when I asked questions about said firearm the man got defensive and started to raise his voice becoming very unprofessional, would not recommend to anyone surprised they are even in business treating customers that way , was very interested in firearm , the older man needs to be fired .
