I returned again to purchase another firearm. I'm very glad I went in. The young guy helped me again and was very helpful. I have a permanent protection order against a man and I feel comfortable going into this store. He doesn't talk down to me. He has always been helpful to me when I go in. A retired captain with the Pasco County Sheriff's office told me to go here. Yes this is the place to go. It does help if you have a Florida Concealed Weapons permit if you want to take the firearm with you that same day. I'm glad I renewed mine. Background check usually takes 10 minutes or so. On weekends it can be an hour or more response time. Check out their Facebook page. The link is on their website. They update regularly. I will return again lol read more

Excellent service! Great prices!! Definitely a must go again. Have lots of new and previously enjoyed firearms

First I want to apologize for the delayed response but I had to tell people how truly wonderful it is to have a gun shop that is exactly like the name says "ole time gun shop"where Mike Sr. remembers his customers even if it's been awhile. Both he and his wife have always been a pleasure to do business with. Mike I want to personally thank you again for the beautiful Smith & Wesson 586 that I have been looking to add to my revolver collection for a long time. Also that you were kind enough to offer me the layaway because as I told you it's kinda tuff right now but I have confidence things will get better and I look forward to seeing you again for another beautiful revolver in the near future. You and your wife have made me a customer for life. Thank you. read more

Knowledgeable staff, and excellent service, nice selection of new and used guns as well as ammo and holsters as well. Extremely fair pricing. read more

I purchased my Sig P322 from here back in late October. Loved the accuracy of this handgun but I have always wanted to own a rifle. I sent some FB messenger questions on Sunday when the shop was closed and didn't expect an answer til Monday morning when they opened again for business. I received answers to all of my questions in a very timely manner and looked forward to going in this morning! I was in and out today in under 30 mins and left very pleased with my transaction. So looking forward to heading to the range later today and seeing what this beauty can do! Mike(owner) and his team will always have my business and I have already recommended this store to some of my co workers who are into firearms. One of them who I've heard has already visited and made a couple of purchases. Thanks again Mike to you and you outstanding staff for excellent customer service read more

See all

I recently purchased a pistol on Gunbroker that was sold by the Ol Time Gun Shop. Totally my fault - I decided the pistol was not what I wanted. I contacted Mike, the owner, who without hesitation said he would take the pistol back and refund my money, but I would have to ship it (totally reasonable). Although it was a three hour drive, I decided to drive up to Hudson and return it personally, and I am so glad I did! What a great shop! Mike was fantastic to work with, and in lieu of a refund, we worked out a very good deal on another pistol that was exactly what I wanted. I cannot say enough about this shop - I only wish it wasn't such a long drive! read more

Stopped in on our way back from running errands and these are literally the nicest people you will meet running a gun shop. Not only were they friendly they were extremely knowledgeable and helped me find exactly what we were looking for. The prices were very reasonable and on par for what you would find somewhere else with a large selection to choose from. I would recommend this place to anyone I know looking for a gun or accessories. read more

I have been a customer at this store for several years. This is a gem of a store if you are looking for historical weapons and not just the latest plastic fantastic (they also have a great assortment of those). Every interaction with the staff has been pleasant and knowledgeable. Even though the drive is over three hours to get to the store, every trip ends up being worthwhile. Keep up the good work, Mike! read more

I no longer live in New Port Richey, but when I did, these were my gun guys! Bough a 'few'. Nice selection, nice prices and the guys are very accommodating and patient! That's one of the bad things about moving, trying to find replacements for places like this, and dentists, doctors, veterinarians, etc.. You know what I mean. So... If you live in the SR52 area, these are your 2nd amendmnt guys! read more

Great people to deal with. Great inventory and great prices. One stop shop. Plenty of choices.

Great staff willing to help you and get you you what you need I highly recommend this establishment!

My goto gun shop. I've lived in this area for over 20 years without being aware of this store. It's a good thing too otherwise I would have spent a lot more $$. The store is almost always busy, the staff is courteous and knowledgeable and prices are VERY competitive. Since finding them I've purchased two rifles and a pistol and have been extremely pleased. I have in mind one or two other firearms and I will go to them first. For those interested in Sig Sauer, they are factory dealers. No distributers, they get Sigs directly from the factory. Two of my purchases have been Sigs and they had them in stock for what I thought were very reasonable prices. I highly recommend stopping by to see if they have what you want. read more

After checking out a few different place, I opted for getting my first gun at Ol' Time. Definitely made the right choice. Nice group of folks working there, good prices, and a nice selection of both old and new style guns. Whether you've been shooting forever or are brand new, I highly recommend checking this place out. read more

Ol Time Gun Shop - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Hudson, Florida

This is a great shop. The owner Mike is honest , fair and helpful. In addition to a wide range of new guns he stocks a large number of unusual firearms and antiques. Prices are very fair. There are a lot of gun shops in the Tampa Bay Area, the vast majority are good but this place is tops. Take Aim guns in Pinellas is also great. And at the bottom in my opinion, Castle Keep guns in Largo . read more

Lady who owns this place is independent person...she us about her business and tough as nails....OVER ALL A GREAT PLACE TO SHOP....

We have been customers for years and have recommended to friends also. They have a great selection of guns and are very knowledgeable . Mike, John, Paul and group are the best. read more

I moved to Hudson 15 years ago, and Ol time gun shop is 5 minutes from my house. Mike, his wife, and everyone who works there are great folks to do business with, they are all very knowledgeable, friendly, and outgoing. I've been to gun shops where people who are less knowledgeable and have questions are treated like they're an inconvenience, rather than a potential customer for years to come. Between myself, my son and my wife, we've purchased a couple dozen firearms. I highly recommend this place for all your shooting needs! read more

Good prices. Decent selection. Owner extended sale prices from the weekend to me. Nice bunch of guys. I'll be back! !

Got mom an LCR for Mother's Day here. I can't tell you how great the experience was. They gave us a great price on a trade in, and I also found some ammo that I have been looking for for over 6 months at a very reasonable price. Can't wait to do business again. read more

Tons of inventory. Lots of employees to help you. The store was packed. Prices were a bit high, but considering the market, they are high everywhere. read more

Had brilliant service, mike was very helpful and spent the time and attention to get me into the right gun at a fair price.

The best gun store I have dealt with. More than friendly service, they couldn't be more helpful. A large selection of hand guns, rifles and accessories. If they don't have it they can get it for you. Well worth your time to visit this store, if just to browse.. read more
