From the small back deck you can look over this town all the way to the high cliffs that drop into the ocean, creating picturesque views of the orange, red and pink sunset. We arrived to a small sign personally welcoming us. Niall and Darra treated us like family while we stayed at their house and even dined at their table. They were personally acquainted with the entire area and gave us honest recommendations for spending our days there. We were able to see the Cliffs without crowds because of their directions. We then had the perfect dinner of local food at Roadford House where we walked along stonewalls past cows, horses, and sheep to the intimate dining room overlooking pastures. We ended the night by enjoying local music at O'Connor's Pub just a minute walk from the Sea View. We would highly recommend staying at the Sea View for at least a few nights on your trip to Ireland. Thanks again Darra and Niall, Ryan and Cristina

The guest rooms were immaculate and very spacious. We even had a view of the ocean from our room, true to name. :) The B&B is located just above the main street of Doolin, very close to Gus O'Connors. The guest lounge had a few books on history of the area. There were a few bottles of wine available for purchase on the honor system, which was a nice touch if you wanted to take it along on an evening stroll along the beach. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with most of the ingredients coming out of the kitchen garden. My hubby even had a choice of duck or chicken eggs from the family's own birds!

We were on tiny roads, nearly in the middle of nowhere. My husband spotted the sign "Trump International". We had no idea that it was out there. We turned around to check it out. As we entered the property we came to a little gate house. A nice looking man, came out to greet us. He asked if we were checking in. We told him we were just driving by. I was holding my breath, I thought he might tell us to turn around. To our absolute delight he smiled his fantastic smiled and said with a bit of a giggle "Just wanted to have a look see?" We said yes, that we just wanted to see it. He told us where to park and encouraged us to go upstairs to the restaurant "at least have a coffee while you're here". We looked about the incredibly maintained grounds. Checked out the back of the property. Looked over the pro shop. Then went upstairs to the restaurant bar. The bartender was VERY professional but also kind. When I asked him sheepishly if I could keep one of the little cloth coasters, he said sure and "take this too" as he tossed me a pen. We went back to the pro shop looking for a sweatshirt. The extremely gracious employee in the shop told me that they'd be in the gift shop. He said it was closed. He made a call and said "she's opening it up". Then he walked us through the property to take us to the gift shop. I love my sweatshirt. What a fabulous little surprise on our adventure.

They provide a water craft that you can fill up at water stations around the hotel which is so convenient. It seems that normal rooms do not have fridges, FYI. A family member got a suite for apparently only $60 more, which seemed totally worth it if you'd like a fridge, larger bathroom, better view, and a couch. The breakfast was average - typical hotel buffet. Gym was impressive for a hotel and I enjoyed my workout. They also have a really nice indoor pool and outdoor hot tubs that sit on the deck that overlook the river. We drank and ate dinner at the hotel bar. This had been our favorite meal to that point in our trip. Highly recommend the After 8pm Cheesecake for dessert.

The breakfast offerings were significant (regular Full Irish Breakfast type of fare plus cereals, yogurts, pancakes, Eggs Benedict, smoked salmon/lox, fresh fruit, multiple juices, teas, and coffees) and all very good. The Carvery Lunch included a generous portion of roast, a veg, and two types of potatoes (it is Ireland, after all). We had both a regular dinner in the Dylan Thomas and the 3-course prix fix -- both didn't disappoint -- and neither did the live musician and dancing. All in all, a stellar stay that I look forward to repeating.

We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again. NOTE: this review is for the hotel itself and NOT the pub! We loved the hotel but the pub was, by FAR, the worst we have encountered since our arrival in Ireland. The food was dry, the servers were rude and/or ignored us completely, and there was no music as promised. We ate there for lunch and it was great people watching because the place was packed with locals but everything else was ... disappointing. Then we came back later for music as suggested by the front desk, and we were ignored while standing at the bar, sitting at the bar, and hovering around the door. It was real "we know you are trying to be polite but we are not meeting your eyes so please get out" energy. Maybe we did something "wrong" I don't know, but it was still very strange. But the hotel is great and there are plenty of pubs a stone's throw from the front door.

There isn't air conditioning, but there is a fan in the room and it wasn't an issue in late September. The church bells also woke me up.
