Non-alcoholic beer and delicious wings...only $.75 each!
Holly M.

Back for another review of Arlin's, but this time to tell you about the Wednesday Wing special! This was my first time digging into the wing special, and it was well worth starving myself all day. The wings are only $.75 each with a minimum order of 5, and they come out of the kitchen quickly! There's nothing better than chilling on the back porch, having a cold beverage, and diving into a basket of mild wings with blue cheese dressing. Even if mild isn't your jam, they make several different types (garlic Parmesan, hot, etc.), and you just can't beat the vibe. Be SURE to tip your server because these folks are HUSTLIN' up-and-down a legit set of stairs to cover inside and outside. No lie, the bartenders from inside/upstairs will routinely cover tables outside/downstairs...all while covering the bar as well. Everything is served up promptly, chilled (drinks) or hot (food), and there's not a bad seat in the house. Sometimes I hate turning people on to new places/specials, because that means I might have to deal with some scheduling competition in the future. I shouldn't be selfish about Arlin's however, because there's more than enough of this place to go around. See you on the back porch!

Pretzel bites
Gemma S.

My friend and I stopped in here on Monday evening for a drink and a light bite. We were pleasantly surprised by Arlin's! Upon entering, there was plenty of seating options and they have an amazing patio space out in the back. Unfortunately, it was raining when we went. But I will definitely check out the patio when we go back, as many people have given it such raving reviews. The bartenders were really friendly and served us right away. Since we were also ordering food, we got the pretzel bites to share, and I got a burger. I was shocked by the prices--so cheap! My burger was solid too. In total for everything, I think our bill came out to be $30 with food and drinks combined. We hung out here for a while at a table. It definitely gives the classic dive bar vibes with the darker lighting and cheap drinks--but we really enjoyed our experience, and will be back!

Basic dive bar. Decent drinks. Good bar food. Older college aged crowd. The outside patio is great on cool fall evenings.

Our server, Bealer, was attentive and friendly. He had suggestions for the "crowd favorites" on the menu. We ordered an Espresso Martini and the Yuzu Spritzer. They were both sub-par. The martini drank like straight-up coffee, and the spritzer had more agave than vodka or yuzu. For our meal we ordered the suggested deviled eggs, pork rinds and shishitos, and the chili crisp chicken nuggets. Here are our thoughts: Eggs: We found it interesting that they pipe deviled-egg topping on a medium boiled egg with the yolk still in it. You get six half eggs (a nice portion), with a delicious topping. We can see why folks like these eggs. Pork Rinds and Shishitos: I am a sucker for homemade pork rinds, and these were fantastic! The portion is HUGE. We loved the seasoning on them. The shishitos were charred perfectly and we did not get the infamous "hot one". Chili Crisp Chicken Nuggets: Bealer told us these would not be too hot, and he was right. The homemade crisp was well balanced and worked well with the perfectly fried balls of chicken breast. We loved the cucumber and rice it was served upon, and the green Thai sauce with which it was served. We understand now why this is a "crowd favorite". Overall, it was a good experience. However, because the menu hasn't been changed in years, and the quality of the drinks were not to our liking, this place will not be on our normal rotation.

Jenna was our server and while she may be newer to this restaurant, she was a pro! She had great drink and food recommendations. Our meal was very much a "girl dinner". Cocktails from the Elderflower Gimlet, Love Getting Out There, champagne, and wine of course. Then instead of full meals we ordered a variety for everyone to share. For the table we had the Slow Roasted Meatballs, Broiled Artichoke, Burrata, and Frommage Fries. Everything was amazing! I wish we weren't too full to order more. Next time I have to try the Gnocchi Stroganoff! Instead of dessert we finished with Espresso Martinis, which had the perfect balance of sweet.

My favorite was definitely the oysters which were sourced out of Connecticut. I loved the Aranchini and the mushroom side as well. The vodka rigatoni would not be my first choice again, but I look forward to trying the lamb next time I'm in. The cheesecake is the mother of the owners recipe and I loved getting these little tidbits of info from Chuck. The restaurant was very crowded so a reservation is a must if you want to eat before 8, but great spot for a date night or girls night out!

She made us feel completely comfortable and truly made an already wonderful meal even better. Exceptional service from beginning to end! The restaurant itself is adorable, modern, beautifully decorated, and has a lovely patio. But the service and food completely stole the show. We ordered several appetizers, including the bruschetta, fried green tomatoes, corn and ricotta dip, and pimento croquettes. I'm VERY picky, and I genuinely wouldn't change a single thing. Every dish was flavorful, perfectly balanced, beautifully presented, and cooked exactly right. The bruschetta was so good that we ordered a second round! The fried green tomatoes were perfectly crisp with a delicious sauce, and the pimento croquettes were crispy on the outside, creamy inside, and paired perfectly with the sauce and pickles. The corn and ricotta dip was delicious as well. Nothing was too salty, under-seasoned, overcooked, or missing anything. The flavors were spot-on across the board. For dessert, we had the peach butter cake with everything on the side. The cake was delicious on its own and even better with the ice cream. It's rare to try so many dishes and not want to change a single thing, but that was the case here. The food was top-notch, and Olivia truly made the experience. We will definitely be back and will absolutely recommend this place to others. Amazing food, amazing service, and an overall experience that went above and beyond.
