First time bowling here and we are relatively new bowlers. Came in a Tuesday for this special price of $6.00/game between 12:30-4:00 plus $5 shoe rentals. Compared to other rates in this area and hourly lane rentals, the price is right. We are traveling, rented shoes and used their balls. Unclear what the deal was, maybe it's us and our lack of experience, but the balls weren't rolling as expected on the #19 lane. I throw a straighter ball and the ball seemed "too straight" and didn't have its usual pin action. Hitting my mark, the impact was way off. My husband ty rows a curve ball and had more luck, but still struggled to have the impact he usually does. He is more experienced, could compensate a bit but felt the lanes were too oily. Maybe it was a one-off. Maybe it was us. The facility was fairly average for a bowling alley. 49 lanes. Lots of balls. Friendly staff. We liked that the lights and music were not distracting. We would return to try a different lane and see the result. read more

This place is huge! They have 40 Lanes, a very small arcade, a couple of pool tables, a small bar with about 7 stools, and a small snack bar. The place is a little dated, but in good shape. The monitors and input devices aren't as modern as newer places. The furnishings and allies are nice. The bar opens around 3:30, but the snack shack has cans/bottles of beer for sale. Very disappointed with this place. I've lived in Riverside for over 20 years, NEVER been here. First time here was last night. We were having dinner over at Crab Haus, and my team decided they wanted to do some bowling. So I called and asked if they were busy. He said they had some lanes available and cosmic bowling starts at 10...We arrived at 9pm and they didn't want to rent us out some lanes! I stated that I had spoke to Javier and I wasn't interested in waiting an hour for cosmic bowling, that we just wanted to bowl and have some fun, to digest our food! With a few nasty smirks and looks at each other, they finally rented us out 2 lanes....Price is decent, customer service is not. We were able to play about 35 minutes into cosmic bowling, and let me tell you what...This cosmic bowling SUCKED!! What happen to the loud music and the black lights and people having fun? NOTHING! I drove an hour to bowl here after hearing nothing but amazing things from all my league friends. I bowl in a few leagues at bowlero and wanted to try one of the few private alleys left. When I walk In the place is completely empty. I was told leagues start at 10 here so I figured if I got an hour early I could snag one of the 40 lanes. The reason I'm writing this review is because the first thing you see on their website is a message that says "open bowl at 1st come 1st serve basis" This is a complete lie. If they would have answered their phones when I called I would have found that out but no one came to the phone after calling last night twenty minutes prior to closing. I know that it's midweek, and early, which in the bowling world means leagues. I knew this and expected to see teams. What I didn't expect was the attendant to tell me they were completely sold out due to league games until 12. Not a single lane available. The reason I'm complaining is why bother saying you're open midweek if you're completely shutting the ally down for leagues? Why lie on your website saying it's first come first serve when you're turning away a customer? Change your hours to say your closed like every other bowling ally that I've been too does. If you're going to close every single lane down for league that's fine. Don't claim to be open though. Then people like me won't have to drive an hour early in the morning to be told that no lanes are available. Sadly as many good things this ally probably has that I would have easily drove an hour for, I won't be based on this experience. It's simple to change your hours so that it reflects what you claim on your website. Being open and not answering your phones is also a huge problem when inquiring about things like this. My family and I came here to bowl for my grandmothers birthday, and the balls kept getting stuck, the score board is not scoring the way that it should be. When we score strikes the score board puts only 3 or 5. There were times we kept getting extra turns. This happened multiple times and we told them and they only gave us 10 minutes extra time when they should have gave us a lot more considering how many times the balls got stuck. We were told the bar would be open in a hour and they didn't open it for almost 2 hours. And the bathrooms were disgusting. I do not recommend this place at all...........but the pizza was good and the fries and my one star is just for that. read more

I've lived here my whole life, going there my whole life. Will never go back bruh, yall need to hire people with actual customer service skills. First of all, we each paid 20 per player for 2 hours, and the lane we were in kept malfuctioning taking up our time. Ended up only playing for around an hour, malfunctions happend twice. The second time we asked for a refund and the stupid, rude teenage female employee laughed at us bruh. She told us it was fixable and they would fix it right now. Literally nothing happend. She came and said they were going to move us, I again asked for a refund. She said theres no refunds. I said the sign said no CASH refunds and this little dumbahh laughed at us again and said theres no refunds. At that point our night was ruined so we packed up and left. Im so sick of rude teenagers with no customer service skills. If it's a shorter girl who literally looks like every other hispanic girl on the planet, just walk away. I came here Saturday morning with 2 teens and a little one for a couple games of bowling at about 11. The bowling alley was pretty full for it being only 11, but we were helped pretty quickly and the 2 employees at the front were nice & helpful. It was pretty costly, it was about $65 for 2 games and shoe rental x4 but I honestly expected that since I looked at their prices online before going so I wasn't shocked. The establishment was clean, but I wouldn't necessarily say it's up to date. The snack bar area is really small and it's not very well lit in that area. Restrooms were clean, and in working order. Overall my experience was fine and if I wanted to go bowling in riverside again, I'd go here. read more

Paid $37 for one hour of lane time (2 people). At the 40 min mark we started to have trouble with our lane, it was stuck and wasn't resetting. My mom first tried to go up and ask if they could manually reset the machine. My mom then said when she asked the worker (Daniella) if they could fix the lane she gave her an attitude and wouldn't even look at her. When my mom came back we waited a few minutes and then I decided to go and talk to the manager. After asking for a manager, Daniella, without looking at me said, "there isn't one here." So i explained the situation and asked for at least 5 minutes of our time back, which they gave us. Now another 5 minutes goes by and I feel obligated to say something because our time is still going down. Javier thankfully was at the desk when I went for the second time and gave me and extra 10 minutes, which I definitely appreciate. I've been coming to Arlington Lanes since I was a child, this place has only gone downhill from there. No music, no A/C and horrible customer service. STAY AWAY ON LEAGUE NIGHTS. WHICH ARE ALMOST EVERY NIGHT. Usually..a great inexpensive place to bowl. My family bowls here frequently. On Friday nights their website states that they have leagues that occupy all lanes starting at 7pm. No open play availability AFTER 630 pm. Understandable. I arrived at 545 pm thinking I can rent a lane for hopefully an hour or get at least 45 minutes in. Wrong. They only allowed me to bowl until 615 because the "lanes needed to be oiled". By the time 615 came around the oil machine was still on the other side of the alley. I would not have gone there if that that was the case. Since they wanted to rush us out I left our balls (which I usually clean up after ourselves) so we could get out of their way. I was then harassed by one of their league members for not picking up the balls, that I don't know how to raise my kids properly. She made it seem like she owned the place (I actually thought she was an owner or manager) and was entitled as a league member. I recommended to the guy at the front that they make it more clear on their website to fix the misunderstanding for future customers, only to be short answered like he couldn't care less. I am a paying customer like everyone else including "entitled league members" and felt like my business did not matter to them. That their leagues were more important than anyone else. I will consider not going back. read more

Other than wearing mask it is obvious they have no concern for the spread of Covid. The lanes look terrible. Afraid to use my own ball as it may get wrecked in the equipment. When bringing a concern to the management a gentleman named Marcus he responded in an extremely rude manner. This is definitely not a place to bring your family. I bowl here with a league and the staff is very friendly. Haven't been disappointed with anything ordered from the snack bar. Occasional technical issues on the lanes but the staff is quick and attentive to fixing any issues. We love our bartender Paulie, he always greets us with a smile and is quick to memorize your order! I like to play bowling a lot and train. I came here once and I liked the place since it was well-lit and clean. Pricing is affordable although can get expensive depending on how you prefer to play and spend your time at the alley. Staff can be better. They have young people at the counter who can have a bit better customer service. Or, maybe it was just that day. The place can be understaffed, maybe an increase in staffing will make the service better overall. They do not always answer the phone and I even called the front desk from my lane because I needed a ball return. I wouldn't mind coming back to this bowling alley but lately, they haven't been open in the mornings. Only in the afternoon at around 5 pm. They used to open at 8 am which was perfect for me. we just had a bowling party of 20 people! It was fantastic for the price, the balloons, the part of the bowling alley was towards the corner so it was just us. The pizza was surprisingly really good. You would think bowling alley pizza is not the best. But there pizza was delicious! They have a bar area where you can get adult drinks for like $10 dollars. They included pitchers of sodas. You are allowed to bring outside cake and decorations. I would definitely plan another event or just go bowling for the day! read more
