We had a large, impromptu family event at Big Al's with about 19 people on a Saturday. We had reserved four lanes, and some of our party was running a little late. The manager, Craig, was able to shift our reservation so the rest of our party could arrive without losing any time bowling together as a group. After we finished bowling, we decided to stay for dinner and let the kids play in the arcade. Craig was very willing to help us secure an area in the open seating so we could play games with the kids and have a home base for all 19 of us to gather and eat afterward. All in all, the staff at Big Al's was very pleasant and accommodating. Craig specifically made everything so much easier for our party, whether it was adjusting our reservation, helping us secure a table, or simply checking in throughout our visit to make sure we had everything we needed. My friends and I came here tonight to celebrate a friends birthday. We started our night with an hour of bowling and the server and food was fantastic. We decided to switch to shuffleboard and that's when the issues started. We had originally ordered micheladas with modelo negra with our server, however when we started ordering from the bar, the bartender stated that they didn't have that beer. Not an issue but it just seemed weird since someone else from our group had ordered one 10 minutes before that. Then the bartender had an attitude when my friend tried to order 4 drinks for our group because apparently every single person had to be there to order their own drinks, even though we had already ordered with our server. Also not an issue but the attitude we were receiving was unwarranted. Then the real issue started. We went on with our night and they announced at 10:15 that this was last call and the last drink would be served at 10:30. We go to order a final round at 10:19 and the bartender says that last call is over. We think that's weird but finish playing our last round of shuffleboard. At 10:30 the manager announces that last call is over. My friend went to speak with the manager about the bartender lying and being rude and we were met with even more rudeness from the manager. The bartender yelled at my friend that he would meet him outside (I'm assuming to fight). Two of our other friends stayed back to try to speak with the manager and the bartender lied and said that what happened wasn't the case and that they were out of tajin (which wasn't asked for) and that we came after 10:30. Not once did the manager take anything we had said into consideration. After seeing how low the reviews for this location are in comparison to other Big Al's locations, I'm not surprised as to why. Not only do they have staff members that threaten physical violence, but they also have managers that think that behavior like that is acceptable. All in all, if you feel like you'll have a good time getting lied to, terrible service, and threatened, this is the perfect place for you. Haven't been back here in so long but when I come it's always a good time. Great place to catch the games and a drink. Menu is mostly bar type foods like wings, pizza and burgers with a few items sprinkled in between. Service was okay. It was very busy today but our server did his best to keep up with the demands. I decided to give Big Al's another try 6 yrs later. My Children and I attended this time and we had a much more pleasant experience. We went bowling, bought snacks, shoe rental and spent an additional $132 on 4 game cards with convenience fee. Bowling was fun although we had to ask an attendant to remove the bumpers. They appeared to be on all lanes and was a very intense process to get them off. Also we had a wonderful snack attendant who served us initially when we got there. I did not catch her name but she had long braids and suggested a pitcher of soda for our family as a better value than 4 standard drinks. I do want to stress that this is a cashless business and I do not support digital only businesses. I purchased summer bowling passes for my teenagers for a killer deal but am concerned on how they will be able to purchase snacks if I'm not there with my credit card but I believe there's a machine that converts cash into card. I'm not certain if that's what I heard. They had a lot of fun games for all ages to play. Beware as per usual to most Arcades with the exception of D&B's in my opinion it's going to take several $100's if not $1000's of dollars to obtain a decent prize. Unless you win jackpots. Stopped by Big Al's to catch the Sunday afternoon football games. Location has games, bowling, big screens and a large seating area. Tons of parking and at 1pm on Sunday, a good amount of seating. We ordered the regular size nachos, with beef, Philly cheesesteak sandwich, a watermelon vodka lemonade and a Bloody Mary. Everything came out quickly and well made. The nachos were a bit spicy, perfect for me, a bit much for my BF. The nachos were great though because they put all the fixins on the side. Dear Big Al's Management Team, please do not ask me to email you as I've done so multiple times the minute this happened two weeks ago and never heard a response from upper management. I am writing as a follow-up to my previous email regarding the misleading $100 game card promotion at your Ontario location. Unfortunately, the situation has escalated significantly, and I wanted to provide an update before closing my account with your venue permanently. After my initial visit, a different manager offered me 1,000 play points as compensation for the inconvenience and confusion with the game card. However, when I attempted to use the card today with my kids during the USA vs. Belgium match, the card had been suspended. I spoke with Manager Amanda, who was rude and completely unhelpful. She informed me that an employee had accidentally awarded 10,000 points instead of the promised 1,000. I immediately clarified that I did not want the 10k points and only wanted the 1,000 I had been promised. Amanda refused, accused me of "gaming the system" for going around her, and bluntly stated that I "was lucky I wasn't 86'd and was allowed to still visit." I explained that I have been a loyal regular customer for four years, visiting multiple times per month. I spend a couple hundred dollars monthly (and thousands annually) at Big Al's. I have brought my company for work meetings, hosted friends and family gatherings, and even celebrated one of my son's birthdays there. There has never been any issue before, and the staff have always known me well. Despite this, Amanda claimed I would not receive the promised 1,000 points (I was only credited 700) and essentially told me to "take it or leave it." This interaction was extremely frustrating and embarrassing. It ruined what should have been a nice family outing, as I missed the start of the match while going back and forth with her. Her tone and threats were entirely uncalled for, especially toward a long-term, high-spending customer. After this experience, I will never set foot in Big Al's again. The combination of the original misleading promotion, the poor handling of the compensation, and Amanda's rude and hostile behavior has completely destroyed my trust and loyalty. I hope you take this feedback seriously and review both the game card policy transparency and staff training on customer service, particularly in how managers handle complaints from long-time patrons. read more

This place was beyond gross. Like I wasn't expecting fine dining but at least something edible. Ordered the the steak bites and there was only 5 pieces in it. The rest was fat and a shit load of black rubbery mushrooms. The vegetarian pizza wasn't cooked all the way, and was wet and doughy in the middle. The philly cheesesteak was half assed made with meat my dog wouldn't eat and cheese that wasn't melted. Nasty. Big Al's is my FAV spot to watch any sports at. They have 2 TV rooms and a bar in the middle surrounded by TV's. Sometime they do charge for UFC fights but the ambience is perfect so I think it's worth it. I usually get the nachos and share because it's the best bang for your buck, but this time I was solo so I tried the new shrimp tacos which I know is bold but I will say they were pretty dang good. Oh and I think there's a pretty sizable arcade here too. Pretty much almost something for everyone in terms of entertainment, haha. Came here to watch an NFL playoff game here recently with some old coworkers. We caught up over some wings, onion rings, and some beers. Pretty good selection of beer and spirits here. The food is bar food, but does it well. We didn't try the pizzas which seem to be very popular. The service was friendly here as well. All in all, a great place to watch sports or just meet up with friends. If you have a little ones, it's probably a good destination as well. First time at Big Al's and we were really impressed! The place is huge, with plenty to do for both adults and kids. I loved being able to order drinks at the bar, keep a tab open, and still hang out with the kids in the play area -- super convenient. The only thing I would point out is that the play area could use a little more air conditioning; it ran warmer than the rest of the building. That said, the overall temperature inside was comfortably cool compared to the summer heat outside. After a couple hours we were completely exhausted (in the best way), but it was such a fun experience. Definitely a great spot for families and groups! Went in for Week 1 of football and had such a great experience! The host, Dominic, went above and beyond to make sure my group had a good table. He even helped us with the games when we wanted to exchange our points for toys. Even though the store was closed, he still figured out a way to have someone assist us, which I really appreciated. They have an arcade next to the arcade they also have a bowling alley and then towards the back they also have a separate bowling alley with a more low-key date night vibe. Customer service was fantastic from the time that we came in. They were very helpful and explained how the prices worked. Once we got into our bowling lane a server came right up to us and was also very attentive the whole time from ordering to departure. The food was so good oh my gosh!! We ordered an appetizer platter. It had onion rings, mini mozzarella bites, chicken, wings, and fries. I would definitely recommend that specific order. We also went there on a Tuesday and they had a deal with most of their items were two dollars so we definitely got drinks lol. I've now been here twice to bowl, and unfortunately both experiences were frustrating enough that I won't be bowling here again. Both visits had the same issue: the group next to us had no sense of bowling etiquette, and it was never addressed by staff. Their parties were oversized and ended up spilling into our space sitting in our seats, placing drinks on our table, and generally taking over the shared area. On top of that, their kids repeatedly came over to our lane, touching our tablet and interfering with our game. It made it really hard to enjoy what we paid for. What made it worse is that both times, the groups next to us were visibly drunk. That kind of environment might be expected at a bar, but when it starts impacting other guests' experience especially families it becomes a problem. There didn't seem to be any staff intervention to manage the situation or maintain a respectful atmosphere. Another frustrating point was the check-in process. I brought my own Brunswick bowling shoes, but I was still told I had to rent a pair anyway. The employee even said I could "just do whatever with them," which honestly makes no sense and feels like an unnecessary charge. Policies like that don't feel customer-friendly. To be fair, Big Al's is a fun place overall. The arcade games and general hangout vibe are great, and I'd still come back for that. But the bowling experience itself just isn't worth it based on what I've experienced. There's definitely room for improvement staff should be more proactive about enforcing basic bowling etiquette, making sure groups stay within their assigned seating areas and respect neighboring lanes. Better monitoring, especially when alcohol is involved, could help prevent disruptive behavior. Clear limits on group sizes per lane, ensuring kids stay within their own lane, and revisiting the shoe rental policy for guests who bring their own equipment would all go a long way in improving the experience. Came by to watch the Rams game with the hubby and had a fun time. Drinks were good and well priced. We ordered the cauliflower bites, vegetarian pizza, and the west coaster burrito. To start with the positives- We ordered half and half flavor of the pub cauliflower and the buffalo flavor was great! I also really enjoyed the vegetarian pizza it was so cheesy and the veggies were perfectly grilled. As for the cons, the lemon pepper rub on the pub cauliflower wasn't my favorite. I think it didn't work too well together as a combination so best to stick with more saucy flavors. As for the burrito, my husband noted it was dry. I came to bowl with my family this past Sunday, early afternoon and we all agreed, we wouldn't return to bowl again. The galaxy AKA cosmic light setting seems to be permanent. There are huge projector screens at the end of the lanes and the food was definitely better than your typical alley food menu. The buffalo chicken dip was the best item out of everything we ordered which seemed just too pricey. As did the cost of bowling for two hours, on one lane. $120 to bowl plus $120 to eat, not including the tip. But I do think the location offers a-lot of entertainment, especially for children and families. But if you are looking to focus on bowling or even if you are just looking for more of an adult vibe and energy, it wouldn't be where I would go. My daughter developed Hand, foot and mouth disease symptoms within 24 hours of our visit. Her fever started and the next morning, blisters on her hands feet and the roof of her mouth. She is 8. Not in the typical age range and it's out of season for the disease as it likes the months of June-August as it thrives in humidity. Ok Second time coming to Big Al's and it never has been a satisfying experience. Very nice establishment, but very poor service. Came last night to grab some food with my friend and it was pretty packed in the bar area. So we found a seat in the bar area and a man let us sit down and cleaned the table for us. However, after a few minutes of sitting down, an employee comes to us and says, "I'm sorry, but this seat is for people who are on a list and waiting." So we had to get up and then she sat us somewhere and our waitress was not attentive, and never came back after she gave us water. So we waited for 20 minutes she never came back. Then we noticed that a group of people who came after us and sat down, was being helped before us. I DISLIKE like that that was a turn off for me, so we decided to leave. Also, I do not like how it's just a cashless venue, being that it's a huge entertainment place with bowling, arcade, Etc. I will most likely not come back here! That's when I encountered Moriah she was kind enough to move a table in front of a tv so we could see the game. She also found available chairs/barstools to accommodate our party. I was so impressed by both her and Alma. They were both our severs and despite how crowded and busy it was they were efficient and brought out food/drinks in a timely manner. I couldn't believe that Alma purchased a Coke for one of the guest at our table because he preferred Coke over Pepsi and they only serve Pepsi products. We recently were able to finally try out Big Al's. We always drove past it thinking it was a furniture store of some sort because of the name haha (i know. I know. Don't judge a book by it's covered but come on! The name does give it furniture vibes lol) Anyways- we looked up "arcade" and found this place to come to and took the kids here to try it out. For our first trip, we came on a Monday and realized it was margarita Mondays. You get chips and salsa with your drink and happy hour prices are reasonable too! We had two drinks each and both times, it was a good amount of alcohol in it. Usually happy hour drinks aren't good but this place, bartenders are actually trying to let you taste your drink so bonus! lol So definitely check out their happy hour! Plus Monday isn't that crowded or busy, so it was nice. For our second trip, we came on a Wednesday, and it was packed! Why was it packed? Well...we quickly learned it's because it's half off games all day! So that in itself was nice and allowed us to play more games and have our credits last longer for the kiddos! There are plenty of games to choose from and it's kid friendly, which is a plus! Prizes are pretty up there so we're trying to save all our tickets for the "good" prizes. Kids are working hard to save them! Quite a few coin packages to choose from to load up your card for games! We also noticed they have a restaurant and bowling alley in there. Thought it did take a little while to receive food. Bowling lanes were full of people enjoying the game with their families. Arcade area looked like a good variety but we didn't play. Waited for the pool table to open and had a great time in the 21+ area. More exclusive and less crowded. Shuffle boards, basketball arcade hoops, ping pong tables, Velcro darts and pool. Lounge couches and high top long tables very spacious. Wonderful service! Will definitely be back to watch a game and enjoy some entertainment. Happy hour menu is weekdays from 3pm-6pm. Pool is $4 for half hour $8 for full hour and a 2 hour limit. (No longer free before 2pm) A little different type of table. Watch your step those corner legs are like a dining table.
