Really nice space. The tap room is on the smaller side, but it is clean and modern. Really nice selection of beers, and a variety of styles. My favorite was the Ovis, which is a Belgian strong ale. Nice flavor profile! The grapefruit ipa and Susitna stout was also very tasty. Like most breweries in the area they are happy to let you sample a bit before you make a selection. Their brews are thoughtfully named, and have beautiful label artwork to match! Service was good, and we will be back. The vibe is very laid back, and it was not super packed like some of the breweries in Anchorage can get on the weekends. Definitely give them a visit if you're out in the valley!

We were staying in Anchorage in December and wanted to take a day trip up the Glenn Highway to Palmer - it is a pretty drive and a really good use of your 3 daylight hours during the winter. On your way back down to Anchorage you can take the Old Glenn Highway for a change of scenery! Arkose Brewery was easy to find using google maps and has free parking. They have a lot of beers on tap and tastings are $18 for 6 4oz pours. I would have really enjoyed tasting 12 beers at 2oz pours for the same price, but they wouldn't do that. It is too bad because they have around 15 beers on tap so we definitely didn't get to taste everything we wanted to taste! If we hadn't been driving we could have gotten another tasting but we didn't want to get too tipsy! The beer was delicious (we think better than most of what we tasted at Girdwood Brewery) and I absolutely LOVE the art they use for their labels! June (who is the brewer Stephen's wife) is the artist and I would have loved being able to buy some of her work (not in bottle form)! Like most breweries in Alaska, hi can only get the majority of their beer at the brewery, but Stephen said that a couple bars in Palmer also had it on tap. The tasting room doesn't have a whole lot of ambiance, but did have a good number of seats. They do have a food truck on site but it was closed when we visited. Definitely take the time to drive into downtown Palmer (it is super cute) and get some food at Turkey Red cafe!

Small, quaint, laid back, little tasting room. Loved that you could do a sampler beer basket and that they have a lot of different styles to choose from with great profile info so you really know what you're tasting. There is something for everyone here. My personal favorite was the seasonal shine citra blonde and their porters. Wasn't a fan of their IPA's. I'm use to more of the west coast/hazy style and theirs are more malty/Caramel tasting. This is definitely a cool place to come & check out! I would just make sure to check the hours first. We will definitely come back when we're in the area!

I can not believe that I have not left a review for here!! I guess no better time than now ;) and even better with the new tasting room with more than two seats . Arkose brewery is a little off the beaten path for an anchorage fellow such as myself but totally worth the trip, and I do not skip the chance when I get them. A little about Arkose, beer. And beer done well. I'd tell you more if I knew more lol they offer tours with a little history, but I've yet to attend. So yes, beer.

Arkose Brewery located in Palmer's Industrial district is a fantastic place to swing in and enjoy a pint or fill up your growler. Probably one of the best kept secrets of the valley. Their beers are also available at local eateries in Anchorage and Palmer. You can't beat a place where the brewer pours your pint and has time to chat.

Alaska has great brewers, but the new Arkose is my favorite. The owners combine love of beer and art to create beautiful, original and delicious hand crafted beers. My favorite is the rich, bold Boxcar Porter. Go in to the brewery for a tour and taste. Outstanding.

Great beer!! The Aloha coconut porter was on point & the double red was delish!! If your in Palmer make sure you stop in for some samples!

Amazing beer and sinfully delightful chocolate!!!

EDIT- upped to five stars because I tried the pizza. Moose's Tooth who????…read more Also - the gochujang wings were excellent. Not too spicy!! Best chicken wing I've ever had. Yes, I got wings at a wood fire pizza place - and boy, am I glad I did. We did the garlic Parmesan and the sweet heat wings. I don't know what magic they do to get the skin so crispy and bubbly, but I'm happy they figured it out! It's like popcorn, so light and airy. And even sauced, the crispy texture didn't end! We took half our wings home to Anchorage and even after the microwave a few hours later - still crispy. We also shared a Greek salad that was delicious, fully loaded, and so big we both ate off it and still had leftovers!!!

Driving around all day and it was starting to get late....and we were getting hungry! We asked a…read morelocal at one of the museums where he loved to eat and he recommended this place. We told him that we just wanted good food with a chill, laid-back vibe where we could just eat and hang without being pressured to leave quickly. We stopped by and it was busy. Parking is right in the front and lots of spaces available. There was indoor and outdoor tables and luckily we found a booth. The menu is simple and straight forward. You place your order first and then take a seat. My friend and I decided to share a pizza, we couldn't decide and we got half and half, Pear bacon bleu and Greek. I also ordered a ginger ale. So I don't know why my friend decided to share a pizza with me, maybe we were both tired, or she was sooo hungry that she couldn't make any other choice but it was surprising because pizza is not really her thing. When we were ordering, I didn't think anything of it, but as we were eating and basically almost done she said, "You know what, I would come back and have their pizza, that was the best pizza ever!!" No argument from me...both half of the pizzas were so good. It was the right combo. The pear bacon bleu was almost like a dessert pizza but still very savory with the bacon bits. We were both hungry and the pizza size was perfect and filled us both. I never did ask, but do they make their own ginger ale? It didn't taste like any other of the Ginger ales that I've had in other places. This was flavorful and very carbonated. The whole meal was perfect! Wood fired pizzas are something special since not a lot of places make pizzas this way but even better when done right. I highly recommend this place!

Everything was priced relative well. Not too expensive and not super cheap either. The bacon caramelized onion Brussel sprouts were so delicious. Straight 10/10, I would absolutely recommend. The steak was average so so. Vegetables of course do get a cold as you eat. Mashed potatoes were delicious but also average. The glacier spiked lemonade was okay. The drink wasn't too strong and had a good flavor. Wasn't anything special considering the name.

Our table started off with the brussel sprouts appetizer which was PHENOMENAL. I ordered the 2025 stout for a beer and it was very tasty. For our mains the entire table got halibut fish and chips and my son opted for the ranch pizza. The pizza was really good. The only downfall is the dish was overcooked but overall still very tasty. Our server was great and attentive. It seems to be one of the best restaurants in the area to dine. It's VERY busy so I do recommend a reservation. It has a cool brewhouse vibe to it. I don't think anyone would be disappointed dining here.
