One of the best beers I've had so far is A deal with the devil double oaked! This beer is made to enjoy! On the sweet side with a hint of caramel or toffee. A sample since glass is plenty for me! It's never really busy when I stop by so it's usually pretty quiet which makes for great opportunities to talk to staff members. They all are so patient, which is appreciated! They have a way to always suggest the best beer depending on what you are in the mood for. All in all, this brewery is a great place to meet up with friends or family.

Between its sweet, modern vibe, HUGE rooftop beer garden, and delicious options on tap I could easily have spent several hours here tasting my way through the menu. Alas, there wasn't time for a lengthy visit, so I sipped on a pint of their crisp, fresh Czech-style pilsner while gazing out at the beautiful mountains surrounding this amazing city. In cooler weather, they also have outdoor fire pits which looked like a ton of fun. Inside, there was plenty of seating amongst the brewery apparatus. And, while the beer line was long, the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. This stop is definitely one to add to your beer list when traveling in the area!

Typically the prices are very reasonable, and surprisingly about the same for the items I might be able to get online, but here I can get them right away and support an awesome small business. The staff is always up for answering my questions as well so it's a fun place to stop by. They have such a wide variety of items you are sure to find what you need. From woozie bottles (for hot sauce) to cheese wax, and even vinegar mothers if you need one. So if you dabble in the other adventures of food science check this place out!

I looked up brew stores in Alaska and Arctic Brewing Supply popped up. I went and priced everything out. And I'll never go anywhere else. - Friendly and knowledgeable staff. - Huge inventory of grains, hops, and yeast. - The ability to mix and match with the brewing kits for starters. - They have a whole wall of recipes. And they do more than beer. They have wine and kombucha kits as well. If you need something that you don't see, just ask. Every weird ingredient from gelatin to Irish moss has been available. There has yet to be a question they can't answer. Even if it's sorta dumb. At first I was worried about brewing five gallon batches. So they worked with me to make one gallon batches, with three different recipes. Super patient. Go start a new hobby! I only wish they were closer to the valley instead of the south side of Anchorage.

Midnight Sun is tucked away and a bit off the beaten path and is literally just among warehouses. I also thing it being "panini style" on focaccia bread is a mistake because the bread was crumbly and I wonder if they have it on focaccia to differentiate it from the other sandwiches *shrug* My wife loved her pork sandwich the "Sweet Cheeks". Enough to keep seeking new ones out but even then that wouldn't last too terribly long and especially if I lived there. Midnight Sun Brewing is one of the Alaskan ones I tried a while back and I felt that the beer I had was very solid and enjoyable. In fact Alaska in general thus far I have enjoyed the breweries there considerably. The beer I had from this brewery was the Panty Peeler which is a Belgian Tripel. A good beer for sure and is a good pairing with fish and chips or a burger. Flavor highlights with this beer are sweet, strong and fruity but all in a well balanced way. The beer goes down smooth and is light bodied. A good beer to start for me with this brewery. I'd loved to try more of their beer options. Love the brewery's swag and have a t-shirt or two and would love to score a hoodie that I had my eye on but it was out of stock so I'll try back later.

We order, and I say to the owner, you know, the key to a Philly cheesesteak is the Amaroso rolls. He pulls down the bag if rolls, and they are Amaroso rolls. I'm stunned. Never thought I would see this in Alaska. I just finished my cheesesteak 5 minutes ago. Run to Odd Man Rush brewery and have a beer and a cheesesteak.
