I had an out-of-state move and hired movers through "Best Movers in Town" through the Uhaul website. I spoke with Cal on the phone the Wednesday prior to my move which was on a Sunday morning. I told Cal that I needed the movers to arrive at 9:30 AM and he said no problem. I emphasized that I couldn't risk the job starting later than that because I had to get to my first destination for my out-of-state move at a certain time. I told him if there was any chance they would be late to let me know then and I will schedule other movers. He reassured me they would be there at 9:30 AM. I even sent a text message with the details of the move and time as well. 9:30 AM rolled around on moving day and no one was there. I called, it rang 4 times and went to voicemail. I left a voicemail, nothing. I called again, nothing. I called again, nothing. I broke down in tears (I am a single girl and had my 65 year old mother with me who had just had wrist surgery, so I was on my own). Cal didn't call. He texted me at 11:47 AM (remember the job was scheduled for 9:30 AM) saying, "Hello this is Cal with Best Movers in Town. I'm very sorry I'm just realizing that my guys did not make it to the job because they are at the first job still." Absolutely unacceptable. I should have been notified at the time my move started or before. I've had guys show up late before for a move, but they gave me a heads up. There was no commuincation of that sort from this company. Read the reviews. I'm not the only one that has experienced this from this company.

A few minutes after, I get another text (not a call) saying they need to move my scheduled time to 8:30am - 9:00am. (I wasnt informed of this until nearly 30mins after my scheduled time.) At 9:20am, I asked for another update and was informed that they were unloading a different job and was "guaranteed" to be helped shortly. 11:47am I again had to get a status update, and after finally being told they would be on site, it was too late. We had already completed the work on our own. Not only were they 5hours later than scheduled, they made no attempts to give me updates unless I reached out. I only had the Uhaul for a certain amount of time I am completely disappointed in this service and the communication.

I don't usually write reviews, but Anastasya and Brandon at A&B Moving absolutely deserve one…read more As someone who's on oxygen, moving can be physically and mentally exhausting. I was honestly hesitant to hire a brand-new company, but after speaking with them and seeing how respectful and responsive they were, I decided to give them a shot--and I'm so glad I did. Not only did they offer the most affordable price (other companies couldn't come close), but they also made the entire process stress-free. They were punctual, careful with my belongings, and checked in with me throughout the move to make sure I was comfortable. They treated me like a real person, not just another job. That meant a lot. If you're looking for kind, hardworking movers who won't break your budget--especially if you have health concerns or need a little extra patience--A&B Moving is the team to call. I can't recommend them enough.

She asked for deposit which is rare in this field, but I agreed to pay her $50 deposit due to the holiday and short notice. Unfortunately, that is all that is good to report, the rest is really bad. Chaquitta canceled due to "car troubles" at 8:05am on Christmas Eve. After going back and forth, she agreed to come around 2:00 that afternoon. 15 minutes before she arrived, she asked me if she should bring a vacuum or a steamer. And I said, "I don't know but we have carpet, tiles and cement floors." Without a response, she showed up with her cleaning supplies solo, and no vacuum or mop. I was really clear when I set up the appointment that I wanted a two-person crew, which she had agreed to, and when I asked where her crew mate was, she replied that he was "watching the car (that had broken down)". She started out by vacuuming our MB with my little stick vacuum that was not really appropriate for what we needed done. In all my years of hiring cleaners, no one starts with vacuuming first. After about 15 minutes, she reported that "she was going to get her vacuum and mop and now that she'd seen the house she knew what she needed." She called an Uber an was out of here lickety-split, never to be seen again! Not only did she not return to finish the job, but she also stopped responding to my texts and has not given me a refund for the deposit yet either. When I went to Freshbooks to view the invoice that showed my deposit, it had been deleted from the system. So clearly she has no intention of returning the $50 deposit and clearly she needs it more than I do! Stay away from B&P Cleaning, they have some really shady business practices and are far from professional.
