Do these look like stains to you?
Jhoanna A.

DO NOT BUY THEIR WOOL COATS. They may seem luxurious and lovely, and believe me, they definitely start off that way...but after one season of wear the wool started falling off the bottom of the coat. I hadn't even taken it to dry cleaning yet! I thought it was caused by moths at first.. but nope. I had a tailor check the coat, they confirmed the quality was just subpar. Customer Service was not helpful. I reached out talking about quality concerns, sent them pictures, and they sent an email back telling me "stains" aren't quality control. They didn't even READ my email and gave me a generic answer. These are not stains. All this to say, spend your money elsewhere. Don't spend $350+ on a coat from here.

Must line up outside door before entering.

I'm so happy that Aritzia reopened! The store is more gorgeous and bigger than ever since it just got remodeled. COVID UPDATES: *Masks required. All employees wear masks. Customers must wear masks and keep them on while using the fitting room. *Automatic hand sanitizer dispensers are placed throughout the store (entrance and fitting room). *Yes! You can use the fitting rooms. *Items are sanitized (steamed) after trying them on in the fitting room. *Glass barriers at checkout between customer and cashier. *Social distancing markers and reminders on floor and throughout store. Line up outside before entering the store. I came in the first day of reopening at 10:30 am and was one of only a handful of shoppers. It was easy to get a fitting room and the girls who worked here were so sweet and helpful. They're always down to help style you or grab another size for you. I'm in LOVE with the atmosphere biker shorts and was so happy that they had several colors and sizes in store. They also helped me order a matching color tank for the biker shorts I bought since they didn't have it store. Shoutout to Chelsea, who I've been shopping with for years now (ever since I worked at Nordstrom in 2015!) as well as the other sales associates who helped me out today (I'm so bad with names but I appreciate y'all so much).

Bad customer service always. Do I have to beg to be treated nicely to overpay for polyester?

Their service is hitting the bottom. Feels like they do not care about customers. Just read through other people's reviews here.

I was referred by another thrift store, so I decided to stop by (walk in/no appointments) to sell a few items. No long lines or crowds after 1pm Thursday. I never thought about coming here, but it looks legit and there's more upstairs to browse around. It was more spacious than expected in this old landmark building/house corner. Not bad at all. Staff is welcoming and worked pretty fast going through people's drop off bags of clothes, etc. They sell new items too (clothing/scarf dyes, little gifts, sunglasses, shoes, jewelry, and more). Items on racks are good looking and colorful in some spots. There were plenty of Baggu handbags for sale too. Good variety of colors and styles. They have good looking boots for sure. Prices on racks are on the higher end side/more expensive for thrift store items. Very clean though, like new for most items. It didn't take long before they were finished going through my bags. It's a bit more high end here, so if you have good brands vintage fashion items, this can be a good convenient spot for you.

Went thrifting this afternoon and my first stop was Black and Brown. I'd never been there before…read moreand wasn't sure what to expect. Wow, what an amazing store. They mainly sell vintage and modern secondhand clothes, bags, and shoes for women and men, but they also have new pottery from a designer called Familiar. The store is spacious and carefully curated. There is no thrift shop smell and it looks more like a cute boutique than a secondhand store. You can sell your clothes there, too. There are two floors of women's clothes and a separate men's shop across a little courtyard in the back. Most of the customers when I was there were young adults of both sexes. The store was busy on a Saturday in the late afternoon. Fortunately, they have a dedicated parking lot behind the shop with plenty of spaces. The staff welcomed me immediately when I walked in. I was interested in looking at purses and they had quite a few vintage and newer ones from designers like Coach, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, and Dooney & Bourke. I didn't buy any, but enjoyed checking out what they had to offer. I didn't pay too much attention to the clothes, except to notice that women's pant sizes on the second floor only seemed to go up to size 11/12. If they had bigger sizes, I didn't see them. Overall, I was impressed with Black and Brown and would like to go back.

I know this is the Bay Area, but I'm not about to drop $100+ per piece at a DTC brand without seeing it in person first. (My mom dressed me in clearance JCPenney and hand-me-downs as a kid.) I've been inside this specific store twice and the one in SF once. The day I made my purchase was a weekend, whereas my other two visits were on weekdays. On weekdays, the store is pretty much empty. I think for shopping in store at Sezane, that is the preference. My biggest peeve with both the SF and SJ stores (and I assume this is a feature of all their stores) is the cubby wall. They could have put multiple racks in that space, but instead they have a massive wall of cubbies with a different style in each cubby. They're all folded, and I was told you need to point out an item and have the employee take it out to show it to you. The same employee then has to find your size and refold and put back what was taken out. This is literally the dumbest thing I've ever seen in a clothing store. What if I want to see every single piece? How do I even know what the fabric feels like, or if it's sleeveless, or if it's a sweater? You don't, unless you've memorized the Sezane online catalog and know exactly what you're looking for. I could just feel the employee's annoyance every time I asked to see a new style. I would have LOVED to browse more, but the store was very busy, and I didn't want to be a burden. On the weekend day I finally bought something, there was one cashier and there was a line rapidly building behind me as there was a customer who had some sort of involved issue. There was no backup cashier called (not sure they have that capability), and we all just had to wait. I also really wanted to see some dresses in person, but they barely had any - maybe 3 or 4 styles whereas they have a lot online! The clothes are beautiful and maybe if you are shopping 1:1 with an employee on a less busy day, it could even be fun!

First time in this store and it definitely won't be my last thanks to the friendly sales associates…read morewho work here. From the floor to the dressing rooms to the cash register, every single person greeted me and my husband, offered their help (but not in a pushy way), and made us feel like valued customers. How refreshing is that?! I mean that should be the norm, but let's be real...these days that sort of thing is rare. So thank you to Madewell Santana Row and its team for providing such an enjoyable shopping experience! A big shoutout to Daijunay who helped me out in the dressing room area. I must've tried on around 5-6 pairs of jeans, and she was so helpful, patient, and friendly. Plus, her styling advice came from what felt like a sincere place of helping a girl look her best, rather than just trying to make a sale, know what I mean? Thank you Daijunay! They certainly made a new customer out of me (and my hubby - they have a men's section as well). The jeans are really great here. They even have a jeans recycling program where you bring in old jeans you don't want, from any brand, and they will recycle them and give you a little store credit toward a new pair of their jeans! Maybe I'm late to the game on Madewell (I mean I knew of the brand but just never shopped here), but I'm glad I popped in and found some amazing new jeans (and they were having a great end-of-season sale too)!

Tried on two different styles and the associate was really helpful as I wasn't sure whether to size down or size up. I love that you can donate a pair of any jeans to get $20 off a full priced pair.
