I had a very disappointing experience at Aritzia Bellevue Square. I visited the store at the end of January to shop for my birthday and purchased a few items, including the Heritage Merino Wool 1/4 Zip Sweater. After just one wash, the sweater shrank significantly in the torso, which was surprising given the price and quality I expected. When I returned to the store on May 1 to ask about possible options, the first associate I spoke with was kind and patient. She explained that the sweater is made of delicate wool and that shrinkage can happen if it goes through the washer and dryer. As a new Aritzia customer, I shared that I wasn't aware of the care requirements and felt disappointed. She offered to call the manager, which I appreciated--but unfortunately, that's where the experience went downhill. The manager responded in a dismissive and rude tone, saying "it's all on the tag" and that nothing could be done. When my husband mentioned that the tag is small and not always easy to read for first-time customers, she smirked, flipped the sweater inside out, and said, "I can read it." This felt condescending and unnecessary. At no point was there any effort to show empathy or understanding. It's currently 40-60% off of majority of selected items and it's actually the best! I highly recommend getting yourself a bodysuit, it's on sale and it's such great fabric. The value is on the expensive side but if you make your way there during a sale time, or by ordering online it's super easy. I know shopping on Black Friday can get to retail employees but that does not mean they should be rude. Kaylee (employee at the register) was RUDE to my daughter who saved her money to shop today. You made her experience awful and horrible. She was excited to purchase gifts for herself and others with her hard earned money and Kaylee made her feel small and not willing to help. Yes, her card was declined due to a her chip not working, so my daughter asked to manually enter the card information. Some of the girls that work here are NOT very helpful and one was very rude. I was trying to return an item with the tags ATTACHED but in the wrong spot because I took it off because the pin became undone a poked me and left a deep pin in my skin. i tried returning a hoodie and some leggings WITH ONE ITEM having a final sale? and the other one not the girl said I couldn't return either because it was final sale but i had to clarify to her that one item wasn't? if i didn't tell her that she wouldn't of even known. very unprofessional and the girl was no help even though i had the strings still attached and a receipt within 30 days they wouldn't accept it because they were on the wrong place there is no rule that states they have to be in the same place but ATTACHED ONLY? get better at ur job and customer service. and don't spend so much money on an item that they won't even have the decency to look at when trying to return for a BIGGER SIZE. read more

Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Order 4 items for my daughter's 16th birthday. They shipped two of the same shirt and forgot the sweatshirt. I emailed 4 times, sat on chat three different times (each over an hour before they came on / only was I still sitting there for 75 min the last time that I got help), and called twice - also left on hold for over an hour. When I finally was able to chat with Tim, he told me he would have to have another representative get in touch with me within the next three days. Never happened. He also told me he was doing a Fed Ex claim - he tried to blame it on them. The package was intact and perfect -- they themselves sent the wrong items. They didn't offer to fix it. I begged them to just send the right item for her birthday, which was 5 days later. Nope. Never got a phone call back, never got an email response, never got a response from their contact page and never got a representative calling later to fix the problem (as Tim said would happen). In Vegas there is a restaurant where you can go to eat and the staff is intentionally rude to you. It's one of the few places in the world where you want to pay for that experience as it is seen as something that is unique and not the norm. Well, now you don't have to travel to Vegas, you can go here. It feels like a snippet out of High School musical where every girl is a solid 4 and is somehow the popular kid who is mean to everyone. Bought jogger sweats here almost a year ago. One thing I havn't forgotten was their high prices and poorly designed dressing rooms. In regards to the pricing, my joggers were in the $50-$90 range if I remember correctly, and they were imported from Sri Lanka. I never spent that much unless it's jeans, but I couldn't find other joggets in the same color anywhere else but here. As for the dressing rooms... Tip for all my introverts out there wanting to try things on, there arn't any mirrors in the dressing room. You have to come out and look at yourself infront of everyone else, since the mirrors are in the dressing room lobby, which also is visible to people shopping in the store outside the dressing room. read more

I'm writing this for my wife who just spent 2 hours after work dealing with unreasonable policies. She purchased 2 pairs of slacks 6 days ago. Unfortunately she took the tags off of one pair. She returned both tonight. The store would not let her return the one without tags and they insisted that she use a store credit immediately for the 2nd pair. The employees were very kind but I'm extremely disappointed that the employees were not empowered to make a reasonable decision to 'allow' her to use her store credit at a later time. My daughter brought me into this store and we both found items we liked. Shout out to the staff that were very helpful and worked cooperatively to help me find the best options for my body type. A big thank you to Kiana R. and Carly G. Professional and yet made it fun. I learned that Kiana spent a semester in school in Tanzania (how neat). Enjoyed that this shopping experience was a hit for both Mom and daughter. Safety: One of the better store experiences i have had under Covid. Thank-you corporate for having a young man as you enter ensuring you have a mask on, (drinks cant be brought in ..good policy as how can you have mask on and drink). Staff in the dressing rooms have a clever white coat reminding you they are there for your safety and health too. Everything was so clean. Aritzia you are leading the way showing us what and how to shop safely in this new normal. Oh and the clothes classic and also trendy...not too far on either side. It appears they are not made via the sweat shops (check out fast fashion and this issue online). This may explain some of the pricing a reviewer mentioned. They carry lines like CItizens of Humanity and of course their own lines. Knowledge of Carly on jeans was excellent and she helped her associates guide me. She seemed to know how to help me and also teach her team at the same time. She was clearly the most experienced but let her team who were working with me, remain engaged and in the lead. Desperate staff wanting to take your clothes to the fitting room to get a commission; however, does very little in helping to the customer. Lots of staff talking to each other, but not to the customers, unless the customer is holding clothes, then the only thing asked is either going to the changing room or the counter to pay out. AritZia is an overall great franchise, been to multiple locations around Canada and US, spend multiple thousands a year at AritZia since 2007. This site used to have a mature/professional staff, not so much anymore. Ended up not spending our money here and went some place else because of the immaturity and non-professionalism. Training on professionalism and consistency in changing area policies needed (similar scenario that Brent posted about 2 days prior, with exception of it was ok for another customer who identified as a male to be back in the area while others were told to either wait in the lounge or go into the cramped changing room with their partner to preview the trying on of clothes). read more

This store seriously reminds me of Abercrombie/Hollister back in the day. Snooty girls who act like they're still in high school (probably because they still are). I called in to put a shirt on hold, and surprisingly the girl who answered the phone was extremely nice. I didn't get a chance to get her name, but I thought that I was going to have a good experience at this store because she gave me good customer service over the phone. Upon arriving, there was a huge group of employees huddled around chit chatting. My friend and I got in line so that I could get my item that was on hold. I told the associate my name, and she grabbed the item for me to checkout. She didn't say much during the entire encounter, and she was too busy laughing with her co workers. While standing in line, all of the girls at the register had rbf (resting bitch face). None of them smiled, and they looked/acted as if they were better than everyone else. Lol. I didn't care much about the customer interaction, until we finished with transaction and she handed me the bag. I said thank you, to which she said (and I quote) "yeah" and walked away to laugh with her co workers (not laughing about me, but about a fixture that toppled over). Yeah?? Yeah???? Who says yeah to someone when they say thank you to you. She made it sound as if she was doing me a favor. Lmao. Even my friend was bothered by her response to my thank you. The dressing room has stalls that don't close all the way so people can see you getting dressed inside. There are no mirrors inside so you have to step out to the big outside mirrors with everyone else. They don't take any returns or exchanges for sale items you find in store. I recently "discovered" this store when I was visiting Montreal (read my review of the Aritzia there, downtown). While in Montreal, I purchased three Rasa bras from Aritzia and I LOVE them: super quality, thick trim and straps, really comfy and cool design, too (kinda like a dominatrix-esque sports bra, with really great colors, plus one model in all black). I loved them so much, I wanted to get the model with white trim but, alas, these weren't to be found in either of the two Montreal stores I visited in August. Upon returning home, I called this Aritzia in Bell Square, asking if they had this model bra. The gal I spoke to said no, and she had no idea if or when they might get it, advising me to simply check back weekly, as they get shipments of new merchandise "all the time". Hmmm, that wasn't very informative, really. Yesterday I was visiting the mall and stopped in this store. I had never been in before. It's a fraction of the size of the main downtown Montreal store, but they had all the basics, and the store lay-out was nice and clean. The clothes are all beautiful (and on the pricey side, too, but the quality is definitely there). I love how this is a Canadian-based company. Go Canada! There were two chic ladies behind the counter when I visited. One was ringing up a customer; the other, on the phone. Nobody looked at me or offered to help me. I was happy browsing on my own, though, and found my white-strapped Rasa bra rather quickly! I was really pleased! At the front counter, one lady was still busy with the customer and the other, still on the phone (it didn't appear to be a business-related convo). No one else was in the store. After a few minutes, the lady with the customer told the lady on the phone to please ring me up. The other gal promptly hung up the phone and rang up my purchase. It was a little awkward. She was pleasant enough, but had she not been told to help me make my purchase, I'm not sure how long she'd have been on the phone. This was just three feet in front of me; I couldn't have been more obvious, needing to purchase my Rasa bra, right in front of the front counter. Just odd. So I'm rating this store 4 stars, as the store is lovely and the product line is great, but the staff here is not attentive or helpful to customers present (at least, they weren't with me). read more

CUTE CLOTHES THAT FIT WELL. Its hard trying to find clothes that fit me. I discovered Aritzia about 8 months ago at Bellevue Square (didn't know it existed because I hardly come to this mall) and actually liked their jackets, work clothes, and a some shirts. Some of the clothes were not my style. But I do make a stop in every month to buy something. I also had the opportunity to go to the one in Canada a few months ago. More styles, more choices. There are only three stores, canada, seattle, and bayarea. Thank god there will be one 45 minutes away from my residence in the bay area. I LOVE THEIR JACKETS! BUT THERE IS A NEGATIVE to the Bellevue Square store. Last time I went shopping here I bought two expensive items. I drove off and was in a different location in line only to discover my debit card was not with me. Ah, Aritzia never bothered to give me a my debit card back. This happened TWICE to me and same sales chick who helped me out before. I call to make sure it's in hand, i drive back and pick it up, only to get no apology. So I decided to return an item to try to dent their commission. I walked away kind of snotty to finally have someone say "sorry for that" and i just nodded and said "yah" and kept on walking. eh. read more

My daughter and I spend plenty at this store. We have been to many of the locations. Today I experienced such rudeness and attitude from the employees while doing a return. One item was a gift and another was mail order. The gift is sold in store today and had all tags on. They wouldn't process a store credit as they had no proof of purchase. It's your store brand? Current item? Tags on? Oh Nope we can't do anything. But! I can call and find out the number used to purchase. Dear god. We won't be back. There was zero service. No interest in providing service. My dad bought a jacket here for my birthday's gift. It is too loose. I wanted to change to another style or change to exact the same style but smaller size. I brought the jacket to the store with brand new one, the store paper bag, included tags everything, but my dad lost the receipt. I told them I lost my receipt and the jacket still has tags on it. They told me to ask my dad's phone number, his name, but they did not find his account or something on their system, and they did not let me change my jacket even the jacket is new and has the tags on. And I can never wear it because it is too loose. I was so upset, I called my dad to ask him if they created the account by his phone number or his name? He told me they did not do anything like created account for him in the last time, they just charged the money from his card as normal stores. I will never come back to this store again. Wanted to try on some bodysuits today and headed to the dressing room. This dressing room area is designed by a sociopath. Two large mirrors in the main area and only one room with a mirror. The curtains hiding the rooms are mangled and no matter what you do don't close nearly close enough to the edges. The only redeeming thing about this place was a super nice girl called Gwen who tried her best to help. After I told her I don't feel comfortable with the curtains especially with having to step out into the main area to have even a look she said I can wait for the only room with a mirror. She asked her boss if they could make an exception to their no returns on body suits rule and the manager seemed to pass along that waiting would be the only option. I waited for over 20 minutes and finally left. Horrible design for that part of the store I sat there thinking who in their right mind would do it this way - at the very least the curtains need to be updated I had to actually go out of my way to look somewhere else while waiting I could see people changing in almost every room. I usually never take the time to write a bad review for a product; however, I was so disappointed by the way this company's customer service that I decided to this time. On Wednesday, August 24th, a package worth $296 was supposedly delivered to my home (one day before the estimated delivery window closed). I received no delivery confirmation from Aritzia, so I waited until the end of the estimated delivery window before checking the tracking number on FedEx. I was surprised that the package was marked as delivered and contacted both FedEx and the company. I never heard back from FedEx and Aritzia took days to reply, saying that they would launch an investigation. By that time, it was too late to file a missing package claim through my credit card. Another few days later, they replied with a blurry photo of a nondescript package taken by FedEx. In the years I've lived at my residence, we have NEVER had any package stolen of the hundreds we've had delivered -- I'm still attempting to see if any neighbors have footage of what happened to the package... What was TRULY disappointing was the way Aritzia's customer service team responded in light of the situation -- when I wrote them asking how to proceed, they responded (days later) saying that they would offer no refund or replacement, and followed with this: "Our goal is to provide world-class service and seamless order experiences. In an effort to deliver on this, we will no longer be able to ship online or boutique orders to you. We very much welcome you to continue shopping in our boutiques and hope to see you there soon." So not only did their customer service team take forever to reply (which caused me to miss out on other opportunities to potentially be refunded for the still-missing package), but they not-so-subtly accused me of theft right off the bat. It was my first time shopping there, and I can say without a doubt that it will be my last. read more

I'm a little confused how the low quality clothes are pieced so high. If you look at their price tags, it tells the story! The tags are flimsy and looks like they were printed in the back. I remembered when Aritzia first opened in Bellevue, prices were close to Forever 21. It was like shopping at Forever 21 but with a theme and not as chaotic, which I liked. I've worked in the BSQ Mall for 4+ years, I know it like the back of my hand, I understand the client base, the companies I've worked for have received awards for customer satsifaction, etc. I love the marketing, the clothes, the layout, it's such a neat little store. I've bought a few items here, small amounts, but there's just one thing I can't get over... the customer service. I've walked through here 15-20 different times and maybe a handful of times I've ever been acknowleged with a "hi". Every other time I get completely ignored. I've actually walked to the back of the store, slowly, pleasantly, and back to the front without any acknowlegement whatsoever. There has been many, many times where I've anticipated getting help and I've gotten frustrated becasue of the girls who worked there would briskly walk past me with their noses in the air, or completely in to setting up their merchandising/folding clothes/etc. It seriously bums me out because I want to like this store but I've always had a terrible experience from the girls who work there. It breaks my heart that I see so many good reviews and I've yet to have a good experience. Especially working in this mall for 4+ years (for very, very reputable companies I might add). Imagine a Eastside girl who loves to shop and adores her clothing. Imagine it's Christmas and you can't decide what to get said girl. Imagine you want to make her happy and shriek with delight. Well show up with a gigantic box from one of her favorite stores, Aritzia that contains a new cashmere and virgin wool tailored coat from Talula Babaton and a gorgeous Wilfred silk dress, and you don't have to imagine these shrieks of delight because you will hear them. You will also get voted friend of the year for bringing such merry cheer to this holiday orphan's life. I love this place! Between Aritzia, Suburban Soul, Arden B, Nordstroms and splashes of Forever 21 my closet is pretty much outfitted completely. Great styles, labels, and help, 100% of the time. It also helps that everything always fits absolutely perfect and looks so darn sexy cute Plus Victoria Beckham shops at Aritzia and she landed David Beckham. My order was not a BIG order but a very special one and Ly made it her mission to resolve it as quickly and cheerfully as possible. I could tell the store was very busy (holidays!) but she made me a priority. Also, my item is lovely and of very nice quality. The products at this store are very current and unique. Okay, to the girls who work there: can you not work there that often? Because it is actually becoming quite humiliating to come in every time and see you guys and thinking that you remember my face. Love this store, really love the girls that work there, they always remember me, always willing to help me out, but are NOT pushy. They are definitely car salesmen in disguise because boy are they good. Since there are no mirrors in the actual fitting room, and you have to come out to see yourself, the girls will always tell you how great you look and how you need to buy that! LOL. They sell stuff to you in a way that isnt pushy, just smart. I especially love the Talulah brand, and I DIE for the TNA extra long hoodies, which I noticed they are starting to sell again. However, I DO wish there were mirrors in your fitting rooms, because I am not always in the mood to come out and look at my clothes on myself in front of everyone, especially because guys come back there to see their girlfriends sometimes, it can make me a little uncomfortable. read more

Really overpriced clothing, but what made me not want to go back were the employees working there. One was really nice about setting up a dressing room for me and told me to ask if I need another size. I tried on a few things and then stepped out of my dressing room in one of the pieces to ask the dressing room attendant if they could get me another size in one item. She said sure, so I went back into my dressing room to wait, then heard her talk to another employee about how I asked for another size but she didn't know me. It became clear after a couple of minutes that I would have to go get the item myself, because she wasn't going to help me since she didn't know who I was.
