We stumbled upon this restaurant while in K town looking for a quick low key place to eat. The ambiance is nice and chill, service is extremely friendly and fast, and the food was surprisingly great. Making it a good deal at this price. We ordered the lunch combo and the main elements were full portions with the entree part a one person sized portion.

I have been to the Burnaby location a few times and not too impressed, therefore, decided to give this location a try because they said this location is supposed to be better. This place is located on the upper level of Hannam Market on North Road, parking in the plaza shouldn't be a problem. We were greeted by one of the server and were promptly seated. I would say the tables are decently spaced out with a very causal ambiance. Here were the food we ordered; 1. Kalbi tang. The soup was a bit lacking in taste and the short ribs needed to be a little more tender. 2. Premium beef combo. The beef were fresh and tender except for the premium rib eye steak, it was not so premium, quite touch and chewy when cooked. I couldn't tell if this place was better then the new Burnaby location. The service was a bit more attentive and better but besides that everything was the same, nothing to be running home screaming about. It's one of those casual ambiance place that I might repeat once awhile just because they open later then most restaurants and maybe best to order some of the finer meats individually rather then a combo.

Arisu Korean BBQ - North Road Koren BBQ has to be in my top 10 dining experiences. Up there with dinner at an omakase sushi bar, a seafood meal on an oceanside patio, and table side food preparations. The experience of both how delicious the food is combined with the interaction of everyone cooking the food together is almost unbeatable. Beef Bulgogi - 8/10 Chicken Bulgogi - 7/10 Premium Rib-eye - 9/10 Haemul Pajeon - 7/10 (seafood and scallion pancake) Taste - 7.5/10 Apperance - 7/10 Decor/Ambience - 9/10 Overall - 8/10 Maybe it's a love of this cuisine that makes me look at it so fondly, but when you open the door you're hit with the smoke of BBQ's and the sound of the laughter of tables. It's impossible to be in a bad mood at a K-BBQ restaurant, and Arisu is a great one!

Went to Vancouver on a last minute trip to see twitch friends and hangout. it was literally last minute and was only there for 36 hours. Heres my vlog https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhrmbUd-RB4 but we got the kobe beef platter large and pork belly and Tteokbokki which had the perfect amount of spice, worth the money and we had alot of soju haha

The taste was fine but the place could be a little too pricey considered with the food. Service was great and the ambiance there it's ok too.

First time here with friends to celebrate a birthday dinner and our experienced was very good. We waited 25 minutes to get seated as we don't have a reservation but it's all worth it. The place is very busy and a bit disorganized, staff are quick, friendly and attends to all your needs. All the foods we've ordered are tasty and delicious and my favorites are Kimchi Fried Rice and Seafood Pancake. This place is highly recommended, a must try and will definitely go back here.

Came on a Saturday night around 7:30pm. Tables were full but no lines. We were seated right away. COVID considerations: They took our name and number down for Covid tracing. When they flipped the tables nearby us, it didn't look like any more cleaning than usual. Only the table was cleaned. Seating wasnt cleaned. They seated people in back to back booths (my back was against someone else's). This was a bit iffy to me tbh. They were sold out of Kloud beer, Makgeolli (alcoholic rice drink), and the Non-Marinated Galbi. We skipped the drinks and opted for the Marinated Galbi. Also ordered pork belly, steamed egg, and the pork rind hot plate. All the sides, of course. And it came with two portions rice. We had to ask for it though. Everything tasted great. Service was okay.

ARISU Authentic Korean BBQ was a great place. You can get a pretty authentic Korean dining experience as you grill your own meal here. We tried non-Marinated Kalbi Short Rib 牛仔骨 and Pork Jowl 豬頸肉. The meats were all quality cuts and the meats were tender. The food presentation was beautiful. ARISUCream Cocktail - Melonchee Melon Liqueur + Lychee Liqueur + Sprite + Watermelon Popsicle We also tried their signature cocktail with Korean popsicle (Melonchee Cocktail). It was delicious! The atmosphere was very Korean and pleasant. Arisu is located on the second floor of a mini plaza above the HanNam Supermarket. It is at #203-4501 North Road, Burnaby, BC. Food: 4/5 Should Try! Service: ‍‍‍‍4/5 (press bell on your booth for service) Kids: 3/5 A-Ok for Kids! Finally got the chance to check out this place. We went to the North Rd location and it did not disappoint. We ordered a meat set combo, along with some a la carte dishes. * Premium beef como ($147.95) ~ this set comes with boneless kalbi short ribs, premium rib-eye, marinated ju-mul-luk, and marinated kalbi short ribs. The Marinated kalbi short ribs weremy favourite, I loved the mmarinate and the juicy beef. 10/10 recommend this combo, we had 4 people and this id say Is a good amount for 3.5 people to share. The beef was all super juicy and fresh and delicious. * Tteok-bokki ($14.95) ~ this was another good sharable dish, it had rice cake, fish cake, boiled egg, and scallions. The sweetness and spicy ratio was perfect. Howeverthe rice cakes were a tad over cooked and a bit too mushy and soft I wish it was more firm. The fishcake was good. * Ojing Eo Dub-Bab ($14.95) ~ this was served in a super hot stone bowl with rice, and spicy stir fried squid. The dish wasn spicy in my opinion and the squid was delicious with the rice. Well seasoned and I loved the crispy rice the stone bowl has created. It had loads of cabbage on top which added a nice crunch and texture to the rice. * 9/10 ~ the meats and rice bowl was phenomenal and we would 10/10 get again. The tteok-bokki was alet down as it was so mushy and soft the rice cakes. However id still come back for more meat and to try the other stone bowl rice dishes! * 7/10 ~ portions were good, 4 people we ate and was satisfied not overly stuffed, it was the perfect amount for us. It isnt cheap here but pretty average for nice korean bbq quality as the beef was delicious and good cuts. Total bill before tip: $199.19. (4 people).

Great place to go as a family! We came here for my mom's birthday and there were plenty of tables for big groups. We ordered a pitcher of Saporro, japchae, and Kalbi-tang (stew). We had plenty of side dishes to share and surprisingly I really liked the macaroni salad. Everything was so flavourful! They also let us bring our own cake. Some places add on a cake-cutting fee, but not these guys! Overall it was a great place to celebrate my mom's birthday

First time writing a review for Arisu. I've been here probably about 5 times now. If you come here you come to eat the bbq that is what they specialize in. We came here for lunch a few weeks ago and had tofu soup & cheesy pork ribs and it was good! Very filling. Service was great too a young guy serving us and he was super polite. Anyways back to my dining experience tonight. It was good! Came in a group of 4 and ordered two kalbi, pork belly it included two tofu soups. The meat is always cut very beautifully and displayed nicely it looks very nice. We ordered the "lunch box rice" which is so fun! You get this cute little lunch box with basically kimchi fried rice, fried egg, lettuce and seaweed.... and you shake it up to eat it! Side dishes included pickled daikon, seasoned Brocoli, kimchi , potatoes very standard side dishes. I like the pickled daikon which you could sort of wrap the meat in it making it extra crunchy! Service was fast and good we enjoyed our night out.

We ordered a takeout feast and tried a lot of different things - the mega bento box, beef tartare, pancake, mackerel, jokbal, pork belly fried rice, bibimbap, and tteokboki. Out of all the dishes, I think the mega bento box is the most bang for your buck. I was also very impressed with the bibimbap's packaging. My favourite dish was the beef tartare - big portions! Overall, everything tasted ok but I think their actual Korean bbq tastes better than their normal takeout dishes. Out of all the north road eateries, this seems to dominate in ratings, and I can understand why. The booths are nice and private, with TV screens inside playing the corresponding Kpop music videos to the songs currently playing in the restaurant. They have call buttons with very fast service as well. It is more pricey here, but the quality is good. This time we ordered the Combo A for the grill, spicy cheese chicken (my favourite and actually not that spicy in my experience), and the beef tartare rice bowl. The meat selection for the combo was nice and the marinated meats tasted fantastic. If you wanted more flavour they give you a side tray of spices and sauces for dipping. They also regularly check up to change your grill. You can ask as well for more side dishes (I think they gave us about 4 different ones?). All in all I'll continue to go here for kbbq and other dishes. The menu is extensive so there are definitely more things I would like to try.

Service was pretty quick when I visited, wasn't too busy with about three other tables of diners. Food-wise: their prices and portions are quite reasonable but I have yet to discover my favorite menu item or their best dishes as taste for bulgogi was just okay. Overall, their weekday lunch special is good value. Though their food on my first visit wasn't especially memorable, their spacious interior + modern ambience + efficient service + good value and free parking brings them up from 3.5 stars to a 4 stars rating since this is a place I would definitely consider visiting again to try other dishes. There is a bell on the table if you need attention from the servers, and they are usually pretty efficient and fast when it is rung. We saw that there was a $9.99 combo deal and everyone at our table was shocked. We all ordered that. The combo comes with your choice of a noodle dish (Jajangmyeon or Black Bean noodles, Korean udon, or Spicy Cold noodles) and a Beef Bulgogi on the side. I ordered the Jajangmyeon with the Beef Bulgogi and it was great! I enjoyed the nice chew from the noodles and the Black Bean sauce was flavoured well. I was pleased to find chunks of pork in the noodles also. The Beef Bulgogi was a little watery, but tasted sweet and tender. All that food for $9.99. That's unheard of in this economy and in these times! Amazing. We'll definitely return as we saw other great deals on the menu also!

We chose the gganpunggi (sweet chili chicken). Jjajangmyeon was ok. Nothing too special about it. Good portions. The gganpunggi was also a good portion! However, I found that it was mostly batter, and since they use a mix of tapioca starch and other as breading, it gets jello-y when not completely cooked. The flavor was really good, but I was disappointed with the batter to chicken ratio. I will continue my search for this type of combo!

Same goes for the sweet and sour pork. I love their coating and the flavour is great, but sometimes I just get a coated piece of fat which is a bit off-putting. We also like the japchae, but find it has a bit too much onion for us. Ok cold nights we like to get the 88 noodle soup. Hot, peppery, slightly spicy. Goes well with the pickles they give you.
