This was my first time moving overseas, and, as anyone can imagine, i was freaked out. I decided to give i love international movers a call, since an ex colleague of mine, who moved to sydney, referred me to them. I gave 'em a call and they sent an on site estimator to my place. Jeff, the estimator, actually gave me a call later in the day to ask me what my availability was, and we set it up for the next day. He came as agreed, and i walked him through the place, after which he gave me a price for my move to london. The price was reasonable- not too expensive, not too cheap; but what got me was the guaranteed price part. '' if you keep the inventory list the way it is right now, this is what you're looking at'' was his statement, and they stuck to it. i had the movers arrive to my place and they were very professional and fast, they wrapped everything up and just cleaned my place out. I received my shipment to london about a month and a half later, which was pretty close to what was anticipated. Since i moved from los angeles to new york in the past with an interstate company, and got a bunch of my stuff scratched and broken, i was expecting some wear and tear. But, aside from a couple of plates that i packed myself, nothing got so much as a tiny scratch. I was blown away! The whole event happened two years ago, and about a month ago, i used them to move back to los angele since i had a job offer come up, and again the move went clean as a whistle. I don't usually write reviews, but i lthink aris really deserved the effort i put into this :) i'd highly recommend them to anyone moving out of, or into the u s, they're absolutely amazing! read more

One of the saddest days in my life was when my best friend moved away. She didn't just move away, she moved w a y away -- all the way to Poland! I cannot even imagine how stressful (but exciting!) that would be: moving from the u. S. To Poland and having to learn the language and customs and everyday nuances of life there. I went to help her pack and the last day, as we were getting ready to part ways, the moving company showed up, Aris moving. These guys, after initial greetings and instructions, immediately started loading everything up. Everything was handled with care and stowed safely. They provided all the blankets, bubble wrap and tie-down straps needed. It was like watching a game of real-life Tetris the way the fit everything perfectly into their truck! We watched as very quickly, the entirety of her 4-bedroom home was loaded up. They were incredibly professional too, and very courteous. A few times, my friend was concerned about some items that were very delicate and they accommodated for these fragile pieces expertly. It was all over so soon! A few weeks later, we spoke again and I asked how it went with getting all of her stuff to Poland. She said everything arrived on time and was unloaded in the same impeccable and efficient way! She said it was less stressful than some moves she had made interstate with larger companies. I don't have any plans to move out of the u. S. You provided all packing materials needed and most importantly, you ensured the container is packed in the most efficient way so that we would not need to use a larger 40 feet container which would cost much more. The movers in Israel who unloaded the container were amazed by the efficiency the container was organized and said they had never seen anything like this throughout their years of service. The container arrived on-time 7 weeks after leaving the Oakland port exactly as expected and there absolutely no surprises in terms of cost in Israel. I first have to say that i was very weary about hiring international movers. I felt that moving companies were a bunch of careless slackers and would probably break all of my furnishings. Fortunately none of my fears were true about aris . i am using them to make my office move from cali to paris. The international moving estimate went well. they took time with me to talk about the service and what to expect from the movers. He stressed that whatever he estimated was what i would be charged, no more/no less. I never felt pressured, he didn't call me three times a day after meeting me (unlike what i have heard people experience with other moving companies). On the first moving day our four man crew was 10 minutes early and man were they fast. I almost didn't know what to do with myself watching these guys work. nobody in our office wanted to do the packing so they had to do everything, and they also packed up our electronics, computers, printers, copiers, etc. Wrapped the furniture and put our art into special crates and boxes. All in all it took about four hours to pack and move out.  the first full shipment was then moved to our new office in paris and delivered and unpacked, and nothing was broken. The move is going to take multiple trips, but so far, it has been a pleasant experience, and really stress-free. read more

I recently used this company to move me to my new place in the Bronx. They did an excellent job. Isaac was my coordinator and his communication and coordination of my whole moving process was impeccable. They were decently priced and provided a flat rate. Isaac walked me through the whole thing, I haven't ever had to move with this much furniture before and he made me feel comfortable and confident that the job would get done correctly. On my moving day the foreman came to my door exactly on time, we went over what had to be moved. The foreman and the two other movers, packed up and expertly wrapped all my furniture carefully and skillfully and moved everything out of my apartment in only two hours, including my very complex canopy bed. Needless to say i was impressed. When they arrived at my new apartment the foreman again came up before they brought things in and i went over exactly where i wanted everything. They carefully brought all my furniture up and put everything together. Everything arrived in perfect condition from my canopy bed to my dining room chairs to boxes of dishes and glasses. I will absolutely recommend Aris to anyone that asks for a moving company. If i ever have to move again, i will definitely use them again. First problem-free move of my life! First, these guys showed up an hour early -- which did none of us any good, since i couldn't get there until 9am myself and the building didn't allow moves before 9am or after 5pm. But regardless: when have you ever heard of movers showing up *early* points just for trying to get a jump on it.They were incredibly polite, quick, flexible ( pack it no, leave it. Wait, let's just trash it. No, wait: pack it! ) and professional. I had a pretty small and easy move (out of a 1 bedroom already mostly devoid of anything but furniture and a dozen or fewer boxes and moving it all into a storage unit), but the fact that start to finish was a little under 3 hours total kind of stunned me (and that included 30 minutes travel between locations). I would definitely use Aris again and would recommend them to anyone moving in the area. Pre-move confirmation phone calls, end-of-move check-in call... Altogether the whole experience was excellent. For what it's worth, i booked and while one of the higher priced quotes, the professionalism compared to any previous moves with other companies more than made any premium worth it! read more

The flat rate was exactly what i paid with nothing extra. Then again my inventory was exactly what i had. They reviewed the inventory with me before we started and everything checked off o k. The movers did a good job and even loaded a couple of extras for me at no cost. The only issue i had is when i called to change the time of my move, because the person moving out of my new space was delayed. The coordinator couldn't really accommodate me and said they'd have to double the price ($1000) if i moved on a later day. When i called back to tell him i found another company who'd move me later in the day and was cheaper, the coordinator changed his tune and was able to accommodate at the time i needed to move. We ran into some issues during the move where my move was overlapping with the other one and the guys worked around it. They didn't want to charge me for the wait, so they did the best they could to get all my stuff in the new place. T i p: make sure you offer these guys lots of water... They really bust their butts! read more

Absolutely perfect. Moving is such a grueling process and a lot of hard work, packing etc. However, moving day was the easiest of all because of the crew. They were on time, actually earlier then expected, professional, friendly and focused. I couldn't believe how fast they moved out my belongings in a 2 bedroom apartment to the new one. Nothing was too heavy or difficult. They meticulously packed my electronics, lamps, glass coffee table, televisions and any fragiles. I'm happy to say nothing was damaged. After we arrived at my new location, They asked where i wanted everything and placed things exactly where i told them. When they saw me moving a box they would immediately grab it and say that's our job. I'm sorry i didn't use this company for packing my apartment. I will definitely without question use this service for the next move without any hesitation. Moving overseas is a stressful experience no matter how well you plan. I had to do it with very short notice, and i am so glad i chose Aris for their international moving services! Not only was it short notice, but i was recovering from a hand injury at the time. They came and packed everything so carefully for me - better than i would have done it myself. On short notice, they were able to come, pack me up, move me out, and take a lot of the stress and anxiety out of my move. I was very satisfied with their work and services. I had never used overseas moving service before, but when i received a new job in Australia, I had to find a company that could do the job. After researching many international packers, I found Aris. These guys were professional, prompt, and kept all of my families possessions safe on the long trip. I was concerned that we had way too much stuff to take half way across the globe, but it was no issue. Even my new truck was no problem for this crew. We were also concerned about all of my wife's fine china, but all of her items made it to our new home in perfect condition. My son got a promotion and was transferred to an overseas office for his company. At first we thought he was going to have to buy a whole new set of everything. Luckily a friend of ours told us how reasonable it was to just ship most of it over. After doing some research we settled on Aris Export. And boy are we happy we did. Not only did they make it a hassle free process, but we were able to purchase adapters for my sons electronics and appliances which ended up saving him even more money. I used Aris for my cross country move from los angeles to VT. They weren't the cheapest, but i felt the most comfortable with them. The most important thing i can tell you is that i received each of the 108 items i shipped! It took a while, They had my stuff on trucks and in storage for about 2 months before i was ready for delivery, so the fact that i received all of my items really impressed me and made me very happy. Aris and crew were very pleasant and professional. There were a couple of issues along the way, but i can't imagine i wouldn't have had similar (or worse) issues with other companies. i would use aris again and i'd recommend them to friends. read more

I wasnt doing anything as crazy as moving over seas-but I knew I needed a car while I was in Europe for a few months on a project. I called a couple other places and found that they that were somewhat dismissive- and in comparison very over priced to what Aris was able to offer. I was able to gt my car across the pond with minimal effort and it was much faster than I thought it was going to be. Ill admit I was a little concerned to know that more than one car can go into a container- but in the end she came out without a scratch on her.. Moving can be a hassle, and I always get stressed when it's time. With Aris Moving I got great service to calm me down. They were at my apartment early, with boxes, to get going ASAP. They worked fast, but carefully- and triple wrapped all of my artwork and mirrors. They worked as a team- and were actually happy (unlike movers at other firms I've tried where they grumble the entire time, like they're doing you a favor). They even helped me put my complicated bed frame back together at my new pad. They had a good price- and actually *stuck* to their price til the end. I was very stressed about moving my personal items while living in new york city and wanted to find the right moving company/local movers. I have a storage unit at aris moving and they have been great to deal with. They advertised that they offered moving services so i booked them for my move. The two movers were wonderful/efficient and really helped me out a lot. Everything was packed up and ready in two hours. Nothing was damaged in the process. The cost was as quoted. No hidden charges.
