Tuna sushi, albacore sushi

This one of the newer sushi restaurants in Seattle we been going to for a while. The service is friendly and quick. You get the customary "hello" from the Chefs when you walk in. Located near the zoo and Greenlake makes it a nice place to stop by if you're in the area. There is a nice view towards the lake. The food was fresh and well portioned. Coming back for more soon!

A week and a half ago, I noticed that Teasome had closed and Arigato Sushi was soon to take its place. The Homie and I decided to check them out for an early dinner (7/12/23). It had just opened two days ago. The restaurant is on a Metro bus route, and limited street parking proximate to a main thoroughfare in a retail/residential area. We were seated in the back dining area with pleasant breeze coming through the adjacent deck. Menus and chilled water were provided. No standard miso soup though. I did not inquire about the availability of other beverages or later whether they had any sweets or dessert. No mention of specials either. Order was taken, items were served in a progressive fashion, and brought to our table without delay. Granted we were the only folks onsite and they were well staffed. We checked on, but pretty much service was unobtrusive. We dined with overhead music which thankfully drowned out a nearby bandsaw being used outside. Items ordered were of decent serving size and exceptional quality. I am happy when items are served at an appropriate temperature for optimal texture and flavor. Menu items included shrimp tempura (5 pieces, $14), nigiri sushi/chef's choice (5 pieces, $10), salmon belly/sake toro sashimi (3 pieces, $11), 3 negihama rolls/hamachi - yellowtail ($7 each), scallop/hotate (2 pieces, $7), and chicken wings ($13). Shrimp tempura were sizable, served crisp and piping hot atop greens with a dipping sauce. On point! The nigiri sushi app, all pieces were fresh and generously arranged. Perfect temp to savor each bite! The negihama rolls (hamachi/yellowtail) and the three slices of salmon belly (sake toro) were also satisfying, with the latter deemed as buttery. The scallop (hotate) nigiri were perfect texture. Appreciated the ample wasabi, pickled ginger, and shredded daikon that accompanied these items. The chicken wings were served hot, crispy atop salad greens. Plump drumettes and flats were devoured by The Homie. It'll be great to try their chicken karaage and their Korean style wings at another future visit. This was a worthy splurge for decent quality and service. No issues noted from the get go with this visit. With tax and tip, it was under $100. Arigato Sushi joins other Japanese businesses: Modern/Setsuko Pastry, Tokara, and Fresh Flours along the main stretch in Seattle's Phinney Ridge neighborhood.

This spot used to be Teasome, now changed ownership and new restaurant name is called "Arigato" Japanese cuisine obviously cause the name. Friendly neighborhood in the Phinney/Greenwood area. Good service and good food. The Deep Fried Shrimp Tempura Roll is delicious! Freshly made and fried on the spot. Not too crispy or soft. Good amount of portion too! Definitely will be back if craving for some good quality sushi and etc!

Fish was super fresh tasting and it felt ~fancier~ than expected (staff in all black and classical music of sorts playing), but I still didn't feel out of place in my leggings and sweater. Definitely going to try for one of the two outside tables next time! Indoor seating was nice and clean, tasteful decor. Lots of vegetarian options too for a sushi spot.

Great, casual sushi spot. The fish is fresh and the ambience is small & cozy. They have a wide variety of sushi rolls and a few Japanese dishes like teriyaki & beef yakiniku to name a few. I recommend the chirashi bowl & the sushi appetizer!

Met a few friends at this restaurant for dinner. Nice cozy restaurant in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood. Food was ok. One thing we noted was most of the sushi rolls had a crab mix as fillers in the center. Fish not as fresh as some other sushi places and prices were decent.

Seared Salmon Salad

The seared salmon is good and tasted fresh. The other things we ordered were the shrimp tempura (5pcs) and karaage. Loved the tempura sauce. The place didn't have a line and we managed to get street parking on a Wednesday night. Overall customer service was awesome since they still allowed us to eat despite arriving close to 8.30pm (they close at 9, and that was somewhat their last call).

This was such a treat! The sushi tasted very fresh! I loved the sushi appetizer because you get to taste five different prices of sushi chosen by the chef. And the tiger roll was the perfect entree! Gochisousamadeshita!

It was my first time trying this sushi restaurant and it was absolutely amazing! Great service. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We came in a group of 7 and we all enjoyed our food so much. I got the Mt. Hood roll and Joy Joy. Ordered some appetizers to start and they were all so flavorful and delicious. The place is small and has a nice cozy feeling. If you're coming to eat by yourself or if you're a party of two, the outdoor seating option seemed nice too! Their menu option is great and offer a variety of different options. I'd highly recommend getting their Korean fried chicken if you decide to stop by because it's so crispy and tasty. It was not too sweet like some other places I've tried. Also, I was concerned about parking because based off of Google Maps there seemed to be none available, but there were so many close by street parking places I had no problem finding parking as soon as I got there. Overall, I'd come here again to try all the different menu items!

Perfect casual spot for eating sushi and other japanese food in Greenwood! Rolls were large and delicious. Lots of indoor seating and options for non fish eaters! The beef yakiniku was my favorite - very flavorful!

We had a wonderful experience at Arigato Sushi. We ordered the age dashi tofu, tempura, and a sushi set. Everything tasted fresh and nicely done. We will be back.

A great space for a nice sushi dinner…read more My partner and I decided on this spot for our Valentines date dinner and we were very satisfied ! Located in a pretty central part of Fremont, it offers a lot in its location. Gas Works park is only about a 10 - 15 minute walk from here which is great! Street parking may be difficult so I suggest looking at the the nearby neighborhoods for parking. The restaurant itself is quite small so I suggest a reservation if you are planning to visit during a busy weekend night which we did. The menu offers a great selection of entrees and we decided to share the tuna dinner and the salmon dinner which came full with nigiri, a roll and sashimi. We also shared a roll in additional to the salmon and tuna dinner. Each entree was perfect to share because there were two of each kind of nigiri on each plate. We were very happy with the quality of the fish and I could not decide which entree I preferred more. The service was not super memorable but I do not remember being unhappy with it either. The price point was quite reasonable for the quality. I was very happy and will be back!

Service: The waiter was friendly and provided recommendations for food. He ensured my water glass was always full. Even the sushi chefs checked in to see if I was enjoying my food. Food: I would recommend starting with a cup of green tea, miso soup, and edamame. I enjoyed all the rolls I had, which were the Hamanegi (yellowtail), Negitoro (fatty tuna), the salmon avocado roll, and the Fremont roll (spicy, with shrimp tempura, avocado, tuna, and salmon as main flavors). If you are looking for something light, go for the standard rolls. If you're looking for something filling, go for the chef's special rolls.

Met up with a friend while visiting Seattle and we went to Fremont Bowl!…read more It's street parking which took a while to find because this area was bustling with resturaunt and bars! We walked in, ordered at the tablet and sat ourselves down! Water is self serve which we grabbed before finding a seat. I ordered the small una-gyu donburi and this was delicious! Unagi was grilled and seasoned, beef was tender and the rice paired so well with the meat! Good size and we left full! Staff was nice and it got pretty busy after we got our food!

There are no bells and whistles here, just excellent service, fair prices, and fantastic food. There are only a handful of tables, which is really meant for solo diners and two people at best. There is a handful of takeout patrons at any given time, but that's only because of the wait. It's far more enticing to sit in and experience the magic that exists in every bowl. Water is self-serve and thankfully presented in a filtered water tank that spits out cold, delicious water. A majority of the bowls are between $13-16 each, which in today's foodflation economy seems expected. The good news is that the portion is substantial in every bowl. My go-to is their chirashi, which is roughly $19 but features a nice array of fish cuts that include salmon, chopped fatty tuna, masago, fresh water eel, shrimp with albacore and another dose of tuna. The unagi don is their most expensive bowl at nearly $21, but the broiled unagi with the eel sauce that is dynamite. The textures, the sweetness, and the size is all on point. And due to its status as a teriyaki city, I think the chicken teri don is an excellent alternative to all the seafood. The teriyaki hits all the right flavor notes, with just enough sweetness with the tenderness of the chicken meat. Add in another $1 and it's a spicy version. I so wish there was something like this in my neck of the woods. If I lived in Seattle, this would be a weekly destination. I'm already looking forward to my next visit(s).
