I had been going to Villa Toyota for over 6 years for service on our families' vehicles…read more I visited 5 months ago for an oil change, and paid ~$80 for the oil and basic service. I scheduled an appt. for an OIL CHANGE ONLY last week. I expressly told the service attendant that I only wanted an OIL CHANGE. No fluid top-ups, no tire rotation, etc. I came back later in the day to discover that they have now arbitrarily DOUBLED their price for a simple oil change. I was asked to pay $183!!! An OIL CHANGE. They added all sorts of hidden fees and even after being expressly told NOT to do any other services, they billed me for windshield fluid (which was already almost full when I dropped off my vehicle), tire rotation (this was not needed or asked for), and a bunch of other non-requested services/fees. By the way; I checked the fluid level and the windshield fluid was the SAME AS WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN! Liars. When confronted with the price gouging, their service manager just shrugged, and said; "well, the price of everything has increased, so we DOUBLED our costs. Sorry." We will NEVER take our family vehicles to this STEALERSHIP ever again. Trust, transparency and integrity are important folks. This place will just overcharge you for things you didn't ask for, then throw their hands up when you protest. DON'T go to this dealership unless you like flushing money down the toilet.

Woo! The boyfriend and I just returned from purchasing our very first car, and we had an awesome…read moreexperience. I've always been totally freaked out about buying a car - especially a used one. There's so many details, it's a huge financial responsibility and then there's the issue of dealing with a car salesperson. Overall, it adds up to a lot of anxiety. After searching for months for an affordable car with good resale value we decided we wanted to purchase a Toyota Yaris. We then decided we wanted to go through a dealership and hopefully find something a few years old, but with not too many kilometers. After literally searching through every Toyota dealership in Ottawa, we expanded our search to outlying area and DING! We found a sweet deal at Villa Toyota in Gatineau. After making an appointment to see the car, I fixated on what the experience would be like and worked myself into an anxious, awkward person before our test drive. Our Salesman, Eric, was fantastic. Soft-spoken, kind, patient and knowledgeable, he was a first-time buyer's dream. He answered all our questions without making us feel like amateurs. After walking us through the process (with no added pressure, I might add), Eric passed us over to finance where we met with Ginette, who was also incredibly patient, knowledgeable and kind. You can tell she knows what she's doing and she was honest and up front about everything. She didn't pressure us in any way, but advised us fairly. We ended up getting an amazing deal and an added extended warranty. Yes, getting out to St. Jospeh Boulevard was intense, but it was SO worth it in the end. Don't be flustered that the staff are mostly French - they're very clear about everything and are great at explaining things. Everyone we came in contact with from the receptionists to Eric, Ginette and the manager (who personally emailed us to congratulate us on our purchase) was absolutely wonderful. If you're in the market for your first time car, get in touch with Eric. I'm sure he's awesome if you're looking for your second, fifth or tenth as well :)

It was a no pressure purchase, with him allowing us to decide what we wanted and needed. It was a stress free experience. Avoid at all costs, their service department will scam you. Estimate: $140; Invoice: $423. Shady…read morebusiness practices and disrespectful staff. Have used them many times with mediocre service, but will never return after latest fiasco. Scam: Dropped my car off for an oil change. Asked that they look at the AC and see why it's intermittently shutting off. The staff member said "Sure" and didn't mention any price, so I assumed they'd call me once they looked at it and diagnosed. Even my written estimate read "A/C Price $- , Inspect and Report". Got a call to pick up my car and am shocked to learn they charged me $271 to put some dye in the AC system to help find a leak (it's not even fixed!). Disrespectful Staff: When I was shocked by the $271 extra charge I said "Jeez!" and was met with a very defensive staff member, "I would have warned you about that when you dropped it off. I'm normally very good at warning customers. It can be anywhere from $200-$500 for an AC repair." What!? I'm sorry, but you didn't warn me, because I'm not signing you a blank cheque for up to $500. Called the manager, he gave me the same shtick, "He would've warned you about the AC charge, he's normally really good at that". I have two staff members now essentially gaslightling me that I approved a $271 AC charge. I'm frugal, for $271 I'm driving with the windows down. "I'm sorry, I was not warned of any charge for the AC, I read 'inspect and report' on the estimate and assumed that that is what you would do". "I'll talk to the staff serving you, but I'm almost positive he would have warned you." Unresponsive manager: The manager, Marc Houle, said he'd check with his staff and call back. That was 1 month ago. I've sent two follow up emails, and called 8 times this week and I've received no response. I think he believes if he ignores me long enough I'll give up. I'm filing complaints with the BBB and Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery today.

Havent signed a single piece of paper and now find my credit bureau with many inquiries that aren't authorized. Left without a single piece of paper saying what I was interested in and no contact info from the sales guy and finance guy. Very unproffesional people. I tried calling in to talk to the guy that I was dealing with and couldn't remember his name. The girl answering the phone and told me that she was busy and to call back. It took me by surprise but I did try later. This time she was just as rude and wanted to know why I wanted to talk to this guy and I wanted to get his email to forward docs to them. I ended up ending the conversation because she was too rude. I tried calling back later to talk to this guy named "Bob" he hung up on me. By now I have lost confidence in this organization and went back to Hull to get my deposit back. Ended up talking to the Manager and Owner and told them what had transpired. "Bob" showed up and got involved in the conversation. Mentioned that he only sent the info to the one Bank. He didn't call up a credit report from this store. I get an email from Equifax much to the contrary. Manager totally dissed the finance and sales guy behind his back and then called him up on the shortcomings when he did show up. They assessed the value of my trade wrong to the tune of about $8000 from any other dealer on Sunday. Now finally today they want to relook at the truck and give me more money. Stay away because they are full of crap and will lie there way to sale. They give used car salesmen a bad name, if that is possible.

As soon as we took possession, we noticed suspension issues, lots of creaks, a major interior moisture issue, problems with the ventilation system, strange smells and a couple of weird clunks when we hit a bump. We had them take it back to have it repaired - a week of rude service or non-existent service staff to answer calls. We had to bring it back 3 times, each time they said the car was in great shape, yet each time they attempted fixed something else. In our service notes, it shows where we repeatedly asked to have the rear suspension checked - repeatedly. They 'couldn't find' any issue. About 6 months later, less than 20k put on the car, we brought the car to our local Jeep dealer to have some new summer tires put on. Unfortunately, they couldn't touch the car due to "repairs that should have been made more than 6 months ago." It was so bad, we had to trade the car in and buy a new one. All the lies they told us were suddenly coming out. The total for the repairs were over $3000. We tried to contact Mega, but nobody would even answer our calls. Some poor salesman tried to get the owner and management to listen, but he was told to stop communicating with us. We sent many emails and made many phone calls, but they wouldn't respond. At the time, it was presented in a way that made it seem important or recommended. However, after following up later, I was told that my vehicle does not actually require this service. This left me feeling misled and disappointed, as I paid a significant amount for something that may not have been necessary. I strongly encourage anyone purchasing a vehicle to carefully review all add-ons, ask detailed questions, and confirm whether such services are truly needed before agreeing. They were (and still are) the closest Toyota dealership to me, and I had to take my car to a dealership when I got all those manufacturer's recall notices, right? For those first 5 years I found the staff rude and condescending. But then I noticed a change and for the last 10 years or so, I have only had good experiences at Tony Graham. I did notice that the rude and condescending staff no longer work there. Good riddance! Less than 10 years ago I bought a car at Tony Graham and it was a good experience. I knew exactly what I wanted and how much I was willing to pay. No pressure tactics, no games, it was quick and easy. I've brought my car there for several manufacturer's recalls, I bought my snow tires there (admittedly more expensive than non-dealership shops, but service is good here and they come across as more professional than some places I've been to with my friends), and most recently I got my tires changed there. Admittedly, I don't go to Tony Graham often because my dad, although not a professional, is knowledgable when it comes to cars and does all the routine maintenance for me like oil changes, swapping out winter/all seasons tires, even replacement of brakes. However, most recently he was unable to change my winter tires for me so I went to Tony Graham and had an excellent experience. We were (and still are) in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic. They had good safety protocols. I had an appointment that I made several weeks prior. I got reminder emails and texts of my appointment. I dropped off my car and they Ubered me to work free of charge (they usually have a courtesy shuttle service but it is not running due to the Pandemic). When my car was ready they called me. They were willing to Uber me to the dealership but I got one of my friends/colleagues to drive me there instead. They gave my car a complimentary car wash (they had asked me if that was ok when I dropped off the car. You want to wash my filthy car for free? Heck yes and thank you! Lol). The technician noted that there was too much anti-seize on all wheel studs and that was unsafe (oops, Daddy was too zealous with the anti-seize I guess, hehe) and they wiped the excess off. Thank you Toyota technician! What great service! Everyone I interacted with was super nice from the advisor who took my car initially to the staff who finished the transaction with me. The changing of winter tires to all seasons tires cost me $49.99. Their self-serve coffee/tea section is currently closed due to the Pandemic but in normal times they have a Van Houtte drinks machine and the French Vanilla drink is great, lol. Once upon a time they had a small cafe with some pastries and lunch items, but that closed a few years ago when they renovated. Their waiting room is nice and their washrooms are clean. I have a much more favourable opinion of Tony Graham now than I did over 10 years ago.

So I came in on time the next morning, and I saw the senior electrician. After brief talk, I was told that he need to call a guy (the guy) from 3rd party company (York Electronics), and he can only come in the next day (Friday). Ok then, I booked another appointment on 8am Friday. And I told them clearly, I want to talk to the guy, because I want to provide detailed information before he start diagnose. So, I came in the 3rd time, 8am on Friday. I said again that I need to talk to the guy before he starts. I sit on the chair to wait for the guy to show up. And I WAITED 4 HOURS, UNTIL NOON. The 3rd party guy called in and said he won't be here until around 1pm. OK then, but I have work schedule at that time. So, I double confirmed with the dealer that they will call me when the guy arrives. Then I left for work. At 2:30pm, I done my work, but I still haven't received any calls, so I called them. And they said "Oh, the guy did one-hour diagnose and just left a few minutes ago". This really pissed my off. I waited 4 hours and confirmed 3 times with them that I need to talk to the guy. What pissed me off even more? I came to get my car, found the guy cut bunch of wires and left with a big mess, and he didn't find what's the issue. He left just because one-hour time's up, not because the issues were found. If I had the chance to talk to him, problem probably already been solved. The dealer handed me a bill of $136 for one hour's labor. on the bill, there's not even 2 lines of issue description. I asked them to provide a more detailed report on the diagnose (e.g. job progress, error codes, inferences and early conclusions etc), such that I can take it to another more capable dealer if I want. They said "No, they have to do their own diagnose!" So, what did I pay for??!!! And MY 4 HOURS' WAITING TIME??!! Following up the response from their manager, I sent them a email, but never heard from them again. All seems they just put up a show here.
