The worst car dealership I've ever been to. Rude, unprofessional staff. Overpriced and inadequate service. One guy left us waiting while he chatted to all his co-workers and ate some cake. The best part? I brought my car in for winter tires and the mechanic accidentally "forgot" to tighten the bolts on the tires. My dad drove down the street and nearly crashed. If he would've died, would they have taken responsibility? Most likely not. Irresponsible, ignorant, and stupid workers. They know NOTHING about cars. Go somewhere else or risk your life. read more

purchase an Explorer also bought the extended warranty, the main belt broke in Montreal and Fortier Ford in Montreal fixed it, but I had some inconsistencies with some electronic, went to Jim Key thinking about my extended warranty... the truck was 2 years old with 56 000km this is what I got from them... Fortier Ford work previously on the Explorer, go back there and ask them to repair their wrong doing...!? End up getting it repaired in Gatineau under the warranty!!? bought a Lincoln LS v8 somewhere else and had some piston issue, after $5000, and the car stated to have the same shaking problem in Jim Key parking lot( I had just pick it up. I contact the Vice President of Ford canada( lucky for me, my wife was selling inscription software to ford at that time)and explained to him that I had 4 visit at Jim Key and after $5000, the car was still vibrating... 2 days after I got a call from the dealership to go back and drop my car, their give me a loaner, repair the car and gave me $3000 back, this Is because the VP put pressure, the Service manager did not seem happy with me, went I picked up the car back that was my las visit at that dealership i'm still a Ford Guy, but my F-150 come from Embrum Ford!!! read more

Where do I begin. We've been customers with this dealer for 15+ years, having leased 4 cars and purchased 1 in that time. Sadly, I think our relationship has ended. The salespeople we've dealt with over the years have been awesome. The service department leaves something to be desired, if you run into troubles. Our most recent was after taking our vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation on a Saturday. After the work was completed, it was "noted" on the form that there was damage on the driver's door. My wife didn't think much of it because a 5 year old vehicle picks up the odd ding or scratch here and there. After she saw what they had referred to, she went back inside and told them that it was not there when she brought it in. The rep spoke with the mechanics who had worked on our vehicle and neither admitted to anything. We were left with having to wait until Monday to deal with the service manager, whom we haven't had much luck with in the past. Monday came and he called. My wife spoke with him and he said he'd look into it. As luck would have it, the mechanic who did the damage admitted to it and, to their credit, they did take full responsibility for the damage and agreed to repair it. We brought the vehicle in on the following Monday and were told it would be ready for pick up on Wednesday. They did provide us with a free loaner as well (they normally charged $20 per day for a loaner). The repair took a day longer than expected and we picked it up today (Thursday). We haven't had enough time to examine the repair, but from the quick check we made it looks good. They repaired the dent and repainted the entire door. You could look at this as fairly good service in that they took responsibility, albeit not right away. That's why I have a problem with it. We shouldn't have to go through the hassle. They should have admitted to it immediately and set up plan to repair it, without leaving us wondering. Better yet, they should have taken more care not to cause the damage in the first place. My 2 rating is not based solely on this one experience. I have at least two other, not so-happy-ending, experiences that I could add to this. 15+ years of loyalty down the drain. I actually feel kinda sad about that, but I can't stand the thought of one more bad experience in our future. read more

It could of been better, all they care about is the 5 stars rating, i lost count on how many time they have ask me to wright a review well there it is... 1- not the right parts from the get go, wrong trailer hitch,wrong plug and wrong tonneau cover, as per the cover the finance guy said and i quote if you get the wrong one just go across the street and they will get you the right one.. which was false , 2-not clean on delivery and scratch front bumper ,now keep in mind this truck as 24 kms on it its brand new no one but me and my wife drove this thing. it did get fix after 2 attempt, got a $50 cash card for my trouble and a paint protection, the cash card never got loaded or replace , if i wanted to get a new card id have to do it my self. no that is your issue still 5 months later nothing . 3- floor mats that i was promise not in the truck on delivery and when i ask where they are he when in pick them up and put them in the truck bed, again no customer service. 4- when they fixed everything ish , they were supposed to drop the truck at my door i got a txt from my sales men saying i have top come in cause his manager told him i have to sign papers , i spent an hour in traffic bumper to bumper just to arrive to a receptionist there alone and no paper to sign just a big fn LIE . oh did i mention they never explain to me the features in my truck just a five star talk and this is ho you start your truck have a good day. On the plus side is when i was waiting for my truck the were nice enough to land me a loaner vehicle, i think that was very nice. this review is not to tell you not to go there, its in hope that the owner can see what some little hot head are doing to his business the rest of the staff including the finance guy are extremely polite, i m just not happy about the way i got treated at the end. read more

I had my SUV power steering repaired. The next day, I noticed my auto-start was not working. They wouldn't look at it or accept responsibility, when clearly the mechanic made a mistake by disconnecting the ground wire and not reconnecting it. The service advisor basically called me a liar when I said that it was working before I brought it to them. NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

Worst dealership in Ottawa" Never taking my car there again. They over charged me for a repair that they did not complete. My vehicle still has the same problem they said they repaired and took no accountability for their work. on top of that the service manager Matt Yakabuski was condescending! Don't. Just don't. Turn around and go to another Ford dealership... any other one really, or a local garage. Under warranty, they charged me $170 to get my car looked at to tell me nothing it wrong when the speedometer is jumping around like crazy. I purchased my new vehicle from Jim Keay a little over a year ago and although I love the car the service department really needs improvement. I have had to bring my car in three times for routine maintenance and snow tires and each time I have experienced problems. The first time, I ordered snow tires and brought the car in expecting them to be put on only to learn that someone in the service department had not ordered them! I learned this when I came back at 4 pm to pick up my vehicle. No phone call warning me of this problem. Since it was late in the season, the tires I ordered were no longer in stock and neither were the rims so I had to take what was left. Although they apologized and took $50 off, I was still without my car for another whole day and I had to purchase tires that I had not selected. Being without a car is very inconvenient for someone who needs a working vehicle for work. The second time, the shuttle service "forgot" to pick me up and two hours later, I had missed an appointment which I had to pay for. No apology this time. This last time, I brought my car in at 6:45 am and saw it go into the shop at 7:15 am. The service was just regular maintenance and winter tires. At 4 pm I returned and was told my car still was not ready. I waited for another hour and was told that they had issues with the "balancer" so my car would not be ready that day. I was given a loaner for the night but it had no gas in it! The young man from service noticed and apologized but told me I had to gas up the car or I would not make it home. I have come to dread taking my car in for service because although it is new and has not needed major repairs, each time there has been an issue that has resulted in an inconvenience or extra cost for me. Sadly, I am stuck because I have incorporated my service charges into my monthly payments so I have to go to this service department. Based on this last experience, I am investigating if I can go to another Ford dealership that is farther away in hopes that I get better service. I will purchase another Ford but never again from Jim Keay. This is solely based on my experience with the service department. I hope that they take a serious look at how their service department is run because they are going to lose business other than just mine. read more

I rarely go to Jim Keay Ford for my service because I have always found their service policy and procedures to be very inefficient. But today, I had a recall that needed to be done, so gave them another chance. Unfortunately, they proved once again that they don't care one iota about customer service. They refuse to make actual appointments for service and expect EVERY customer to drop their vehicle off for the day. Even if you are pressed for time, they will not try to get your car in and out quickly. And I believe they don't even use a first-come, first-served policy. They tell every customer to expect their car around five o'clock. When pressed about this policy (that is the opposite of customer-friendly), the service reps simply shrug and say that's the way it is. I went back and picked up my car mid-afternoon - without the recall done, because I needed it. Another customer with the same issue was there waiting for her car to have a recall performed, and it had not entered the shop either. Because of their poor customer service, I will not return, and will never purchase a car from this dealership. read more

The service department at this dealership is absutely terrible. I have a Ford Flex which I have taken to them three times for a warrantee repair on a badly leaking roof. Each time, they have kept the car for 2 days after which they told me that it was definitely fixed but water is still pouring in through the roof of my car onto my baby daughter in the car seat. I have taken photos of this to them each time so I have photo and video evidence of it all. Although they have kept the car two days each time it is clear from the photos and videos that I have taken before and after each incident that all they have done is put more silicone around the bolts making a real mess of my car but not fixing the problem. This is not a repair and they dont seem to care. Their service department is terrible and obviously incompetent. I advise you to remain clear of this dealership. read more
