AudioMotive - Cheap-o AUX/USB knockout purchased from Amazon. The supplied USB cable is junk but a little DIY retrofit to pull up Sony's cable works great

On April 3, 2025, I arrived without an appointment and was cheerfully greeted and made a priority…read more I explained my issues regarding my installation of a dual channel wireless aftermarket backup/driving camera's. Within 10 minutes they identified the problem and provided me a solution that later worked. No fee requested. On April 14, I returned again without an appointment and explained further problems with my install. This time I suggested a consult fee to which they agreed. Looking up car specific fuse block information, they again identified the solution and requested I pull my car into the shop to show me the correct fuse block location for my application. Then as I watched using their supplies they did the final power supply install for the front camera. 15 minutes later all was working as the manufacturer intended. As a DIYer I like to learn by doing and in this case watching but if I did not, I wouldn't hesitate to contract them. I did not expect the additional installation using their shop supplies, so I doubled the consult fee which was still very reasonable. Thanks guys for treating a double walk-in so professionally. I got a car radio 5 years ago from AudioMotive, and was served very well. Recently, for some…read morereason, there was no power going to the radio so no audio. I was in the area so I dropped by to make an appointment for another time to investigate the issue. The man there said he'd take a quick look right away, spent 5 minutes looking into it and fixed it right there. I asked how much I owed him and he said "nothing." It was a simple reset needed after the car battery died a while ago. Much appreciated and great to see.

Stay away at all costs. I paid Naz to tint the back window…read moreof a C300. I added a picture so you can see the quality, they quit responding when I tried to address the issue with them. I recommend paying a little more so you don't have to pay twice.

The Ottawa Tinting Zone's website is a sham. It was lifted from another website probably in the US…read more Any of the positive reviews are from that other website. The real reviews are so bad that the owner removed the review link on the website so you can't see them or write a review on the website itself but you can still access the reviews in Google. In par. 5 of the website there is a quote from someone called Chip Bell. So who is Chip Bell? The owner's name is Naz. He is the one who answers the phone and he is the one you'll be dealing with if you have any work done there. If you contact the Ottawa Tinting Zone you should ask Naz who Chip Bell is. If he can't give you a satisfactory answer you should be wary. If he tells you he does a lot of work for area dealerships ask for written proof. The Ottawa Tinting Zone's work is subpar and may be the worst in Ottawa. Naz will also damage your car in the process. If you still decide to have work done there you should ask for a detailed written estimate showing the service you're getting and the cost. Make sure Naz's full name and the name of the shop appear on the estimate and the final invoice. If Naz asks you to pay cash don't do it to save a few bucks because then he won't give you an invoice. Take pictures of your vehicle before getting the work done and add a clause to the estimate indicating that there's no damage to the car and ask Naz to sign it. If he refuses that should tell you everything you need to know.
