Having tried most Argo products and spending unending hours of study time in their seating area, I feel qualified in saying that this place is a disappointment. The food tastes different nearly every day, the tea is normally over-brewed, the coffee is worse than day old instant, and the service is mediocre on its best day. The normal morning staff is extremely loud, laughing and joking all morning, only interrupted by the occasional customer who is normally treated poorly. Customers seem to, for the most part, accept their poor attitudes out of convenience. Admittedly, I still purchase items from them when I am desperate and lazy. As for the positive reviews on here, I am genuinely surprised. I do not know of a single person at this university that likes Argo for anything other than convenience. read more

Oh, Argo. I had to make sure this was on Yelp because everyone in the area searching for some good tea deserves to know it exists. Tucked away in the heart of Northeastern's campus in Snell Library is a new installation of the growing Argo Tea chain. I always liked tea, but never before have I been a habitual tea drinker. Even living in California although I loved Starbucks, it wasn't something I felt I needed at least once a week. Now, Argo has taken getting a hot drink in the morning to a whole new level for me. My addiction is the Earl Grey Vanilla Creme w/ soy, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something warm to get them through the next couple hours. It's the best way to get through my Energy, Environment & Society lecture both fully focused and relaxed. That being said, they do have a huge selection of drinks and you can pretty much get any kid of tea your heart desires. I also recommend their Carolina Honey tea--if Earl Grey isn't someone's favorite, then Carolina Honey is. Other favorite: their chocolate chip vegan muffins! Vegan baked goods are few and far between on campus, but Argo's got me covered. Beware though, they are INCREDIBLY filling. Can't even finish a whole one with a tea for breakfast. But still pretty good, especially when warm. Their prices are reasonable and I don't feel bad paying what I do for my morning tea, and I love the fact that unlike Starbucks they don't charge the extra 60 cents for soy. Being healthier just shouldn't cost more, and some shouldn't have to pay extra for being lactose. Simple as that. Only thing I don't recommend is this strange quinoa thing I once got; looked delicious but yeah that's not happening again. Though I've been to one by Columbus Circle in New York City, and I know there's one in Beverly Hills, this chain seriously should grow bigger. Any business that promotes health and environmental sustainability gets big points in my book and ought to be recognized. read more

You have to be a northeastern student to get in here since it is located inside the library. Its actually quite a neat place to stay and get some work done. Theres always a crowd of people and it can be a great place to meet new people on campus. The teas here are amazing. I honestly love anything with their mint in it so I like everything. Havent tried the salads and other food items, but they look delicious and organic. read more

In case, she made up her name, she is of Spanish /American Africa origin and short and round . Extremely rude woman. She does not even acknowledge us at first. The staff is racist. I am international student from Korea, I saw Argo Tea was about to close but a guy was operating the check-out machine to help a Caucasian girl with her order and kindly ask her what she wanted. When I approached, the guy rudely declined my request of ordering while the check-out system was still on and the inventories were not packed. read more

Decided to give it a try and I now regret having done so. First bubble tea drink I wanted out of three options was not available, which isn't a big deal. When I decided to get an available bubble tea though, it took the staff 10seconds to make my $5 drink, literally. That'd be ok if the drink was good in taste and quality but it was actually so watered down and half of the drink was just ice cubes. I'd pay at most $1 for a drink like the one I got, nothing near the over $5 I payed for. Couldn't even finish it more than a quarter of my drink because it tasted so watered down. Above average tasting, trendy teas. Terrible service. After asking if they could substitute coconut milk for normal milk, it all went down here from there. She acted as if I had asked her to book a round trip flight to Hawaii, cut down a coconut tree, and harvest the milk with her hands tied behind her back. Love the NYC location, finally made it the one Boston location. I don't like weird flavored tea concoctions, but I make an exception for Red Velvet tea, hot. Mmmm-mm! Tried their chocolate mint black tea, delicious! This lounge is located inside Snell Library, an immediate left from the entrance. There are multiple booths and small and large tables with enough outlets for all the students studying, eating, or just lounging. It is not very loud but not a quiet area, if thats what you're looking for. Staff at Argo is alright, not the best customer service skills, I had to wait extra time because they didn't call out my name, so my tea was just sitting there without any notice. read more

Every time I visit this location, it is CLOSED. The last time I visited, a few weeks back, it was closed for winter break. What kind of a business shuts down on every random college vacation???? on top of that, you need to show your driver's license to the folks in the northwestern library because the only entrance is via the library. I can't believe people actually like this place as much as they do. They keep their "refrigerated"section of quick food and drinks just barely below room temperature so the yogurt is never cold and won't stay good for very long. Their tea is way too concentrated, their "coffee" has barely any caffeine and is an insult to real coffee, and the staff moves at a glacial pace even though most of the teas are pre made and just need to be poured. It's definitely not worth the money and I'm sad it's the only option in the library. If you actually care about the quality of what you put into your body I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

The tea here is great! I usually get an iced sparkling passion fruit (or peach?) green tea and pistachio macaroons (get at least 2!) for a summer treat! Things add up and get a bit pricy here though so I gave it 4 stars instead of 5... Then again, isn't coffee and tea expensive at most places? read more

Nothing from these guys is good. Taste differs everytime you order from them. And the service crew doesn't care. They were on their phone for like 10 minutes while customers were waiting to place an order. I wouldn't purchase anything from them again :( read more
