We ordered, then waited. Then we waited some more. We waited long enough that I noticed a couple of families who were seated after us not only had been served their food but were nearly finished eating! We had not seen our server for awhile, either, so I asked the hostess if there was a manager on the premises. She said there was, but the manager was helping bring food out of the kitchen. Another 5-10 minutes passed and our food was brought out by the restaurant manager. She said 'the kitchen got backed up'. I asked if perhaps our order was not put it after we ordered. She said 'no, I guarantee that isn't what happened, we just got busy.' It sounded more like she was being defensive rather than offering an apology for our long wait. This restaurant has been busy every time we have been there, so are they recently short-staffed? I doubt that the kitchen just happened to 'back up' several random times in a row when we happened to visit. Disappointing. It's too bad because they used to be better.
