Michael from Austin Key Guy was truly excellent, y'all!…read more In the process of our current home remodeling frenzy, hubby and I got all new handles and locks to replace the tacky gold 80s ones, and it suddenly occurred to me today that we actually need new keys to go with these modern new handles and locks! Pure genius, right? LOL! So, I popped up a project request on Yelp, and Michael responded within seconds with a quote that seemed entirely reasonable. I called him, he picked up immediately, and he was at our house rekeying within the hour! Talk about fabulous service! He was quick, efficient, and sweet. Fifteen-ish minutes later, I now hold five working keys in my hand, and I feel like an actual adult again! #adulting Thanks, Michael and Austin Key Guy! Much appreciated!

I take great pride in writing this review! I called About Time Locksmith this afternoon, (6 May…read more2014), when the wind blew my front door closed when I went outside and I could not get the latching mechanism to release to get back in. After going through the garage to enter the house I went to my computer and found About Time Locksmith (ATL). I read the reviews and decided to take a change. He answered right away and said he could come by later. He notified me when he was in route and was prompt in his arrival. Following are some observations and why I recommend ABL. First: I appreciate that he is a man of his word and came by as he said he would. Second: He came prepared to resolve my issue without any hesitation or buildup for an inflated repair price! Third: He corrected the problem and took the opportunity to provide me with education on maintaining the lock. Fourth: He said I did not owe him anything!!! My fiath in repairmen has been restored!! Thank you Sir!!

TLDR: Jon is awesome. He's knowledgeable, experienced, friendly, communicative, professional,…read morehonest, and easy to talk to. Don't hesitate to hire. Jon did a great job installing our new smart lock. If you're in the same boat, I recommend doing your own research and choosing a smart lock that works for you before getting a quote (it will depend on the complexity of the lock). Additionally, when rekeying our other locks to match, he noticed some problems with our deadbolts that he also fixed on the spot. When I first reached out to him, I did feel like his prices were a bit higher than some other quotes I obtained. Still, something told me to go with him (and support a local business as well). After he finished the job, his prices made way more sense. He leaves a large window for each customer in case there are unforeseen issues or he finds problems that he could fix on the spot (this is common since locks wear out over time). An immediate fix is definitely preferred since each service call costs a substantial amount. So it does seem like he factors in additional time for each visit so that he's able to problem solve and fix as much as necessary. This was really helpful since like I mentioned before, our other deadbolts were not closing all the way. In addition to a job well done, Jon seemed like a genuinely good dude and my husband and I enjoyed talking to him. Really glad I chose to go with Jon and I highly recommend him for all your locksmith needs.
