When we walked in, the space is open with plenty of tables inside and an outside patio. They have local artwork and pieces for sale on shelves and on the wall, which I have to add was super cute!! We ordered the Greek omelette with avocado, diced potato's, with a cup of fruit to split. Omelette was very largely portioned and the taste was delightful. Everything was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. They have a large selection of hot sauces you can top your meal with. They have an icecream shop attached, we didn't get anything but I'm sure it would have been the perfect treat for the hot summer day. They give a veteran discount too!! We will return every time we are passing through. We recommend to try it at least once, it's worth the stop.

In my opinion, The Clinkscale has the best breakfast tacos I have ever tasted. Everything tastes fresh, and I like their coffee, too. Their other menu items look great as well, so I will have to try another food item the next time I am in Jerome. I like how the atmosphere makes you feel like you are taking a trip back in time, as the building has been around for a while. The best part about The Clinkscale, however, is the service. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and more than happy to offer suggestions. I remember when my family and I went up there a few years back, and our server, Jeff, made us feel right at home. The other staff members are also great, as they make everyone feel welcome within the establishment. I have been back there a couple of times since then, and I have had a wonderful experience each time. Luckily, the owner took charge and recommended the small cheese board, garlic and butter shrimp, and the sliced Italian sausage sautéed with onions in a red sauce. It was a killer deal - three appetizers and a side dish (we had the pasta - a generous side of angel hair Al dente in garlic butter) for $25. Our $7 HH red wine went nicely with all three. We were blown away by the taste and quality of the dishes. The service and attention from the owner and server added to our great experience. We look forward to our next trip to Camp Verde to try more of the Astoria menu.

She returned with the coffee and said "You know if it gets busy...." leaving the sentence hanging. I replied I would leave if it did (the restaurant only had maybe 3 tables full at that point, by the time I left at 640 there were two tables empty). After eating the food, which was quite good, I promptly packed up and left as soon as I could 25 minutes after being seated. I walked down to Brewed Awakenings, got a coffee there and sat down at my computer to do some work. In a small restaurant I totally understand that you need to keep tables moving so there is not a wait, but there is a polite and subtle way to message to a patron that they need to move along so other folks can sit down. You can deliver the check early, ask if you are finished, ask if there is anything else you need. Ways to communicate to a patron that they need the table. This was certainly not it. I eat out often, I tip very well, but I have to say this is the first time I felt unwelcome and rushed at a place in a very, very long time. While the food was good, this was not the way to start off day 2 of my roadtrip. In today's economy, making your customers feel like they need to eat and run, and doing so in a rude way, is a master class in how to make your restaurant fail. I do not recommend this place.
