    Create your own breakfast burritos
    Elizabeth P.

Very cute breakfast spot once you walk inside. I ordered the create your own breakfast burrito and it was delicious. It wasn't as big as the burritos I'm used to in California, but it was plenty filling and full of flavor. The cafe was really busy, but the service was fantastic. I can see why it's such a popular breakfast spot. We were told there would be about a 40-minute wait, but it ended up being closer to 20 minutes, and we passed the time walking around the grocery store nearby. I also tried the biscuits and gravy, and the gravy was really tasty. Definitely a great spot for breakfast in Sedona if your staying in the Village of Oak Creek.

Very comfortable seating, friendly wait stuff. Clean bathrooms. I ordered the fried chicken steak, but I've had better in Sedona. Fries are fresh and yummy!

My family I went to this location on Saturday, May 24 a little before noon. We located this restaurant Pharma some suggestions we located online and saw that they had amazing reviews. This restaurant is located in the plaza next to a a store and a few other shops in the area. There was a wait time due to the service was busy, which was expected since it's a holiday weekend. The hostess was absolutely amazing, kind and informative . We only had to wait about 10-15 minutes before we were seated in the hostess that brought us to our table explained the menu and most of the items are made homemade in house even their cinnamon rolls & more. Suggestion to make two different cinnamon rolls, one without raisins and walnuts, and keep the traditional one with raisins and walnuts. We ordered the chicken fried steak with homemade gravy which comes with a side of hashbrowns and or potatoes, eggs, pancake, the corn beef sandwich on marble rye bread with french fries fries, the breakfast burrito with the side of homemade fries, which are diced potatoes ( we were a little confused with a description of homemade fries and thought they were gonna be french fries cause that's what we were expecting so we had to place a order for a side of fries instead). The side of fries were a little overpriced. They were $6.50 for a small order and you didn't get as many fries as if you would've had them on your plate. They came in a small bowl so we received less portion which we were a little disappointed with Over all our visit was amazing from the food, the service the portion size of our entrées. The only suggestion that we will have for the side order of fries to come with the same amount as if you're receiving it on the plate versus a small bowl and their homemade cinnamon rolls are made with raisins and walnuts, and it's not an option to take the nuts out for people that's allergic. We really wanted to try the cinnamon roll, but we weren't able to do to the walnuts in them. Our waitress Rebecca P. was so kind, friendly and kept coming back to our table checking on us, which was great. Our table was # 11 The restaurant is only open from 7 AM to 2 PM so definitely come to this place if you're looking for a great place for food. When we come back and visit, we will definitely be stopping at this restaurant for some great breakfast and or lunch. A tip they do charge 3.5% fee for all credit card payments so if you would like to avoid the charge to bring cash. We were shocked at the restaurant charge that but we only had a credit card available and didn't bring cash prior to our trip.

Recommend by locals. It gets busy here so bring your patience. We waited about 50 minutes on a Saturday but the food was well worth it. We ordered their southwest salad and corn beef hash with eggs. Both very fresh and delicious. The corned beef was surprising not salty which was perfect for me. Hash browns were perfectly cooked soft in the middle and crispy on the outside. Prices were very reasonable and portion sizes were big. Highly recommend!!

Food: 5 Service: 4 Ambiance: 4 Such a great place to have breakfast/brunch in Sedona! There was a small wait when we arrived but we hung out in the patio before we were seated. Inside was bright, airy and colorful. We ordered the skillet, country fried steak and 3lb cinnamon roll. Everything was delicious! It was fresh and tasty! After our excellent meal, we finished it off with the cinnamon roll which is the size of a small cake. Service was friendly and efficient too! We will definitely return.

Red rock is a must if your are in the Oak Creek / Sedona area. Food was amazing, great price for portion size. Service was friendly and quick. Ambience was relaxing, not rushing you to finish and seated you according to when you arrived not based on party size.

Rebecca was our server and she was phenomenal! My husband had their Benedict special and I had their country fried steak meal breakfast! Everything was great and the staff was wonderful. We are here on our anniversary trip! So this breakfast place just made our morning! We also got their 3lbs cinnamon roll to go!

Red Rock Cafe has the best homemade Key Lime Pie in Sedona. The host at the stand is always so kind.

Just leaving town and we wanted some breakfast. I'm so glad we stopped here. What a cute restaurant. I had the southwest fried steak and my husband had the cowboys Benedict. All I can say is Wow! Both delicious. Their gluten free bread is yummy as well. The waitress was very attentive and got our complicated order correct. She was great! We didn't have to wait for a table at 10:30 but the place was packed and there was a wait when we left. Get there early!

Their chips and salsa are okay, super Americanized style salsa but tasty enough. Randomly their Caesar salad isn't too bad either! I wasn't craving any Mexican dishes one day and went with the salad and was pleasantly surprised. I do NOT recommend birria tacos; highly disappointing and lacked flavor and the authentic textures of quesabirria tacos. Boring. Good vibes inside. Lots of colors, fun upbeat music, and most importantly happy and helpful service every single time. We've even see actual Javalinas out the window while dining once. I would definitely recommend making reservations because it can be quite a wait otherwise, especially during peak times. That said, they seem well equipped to handle both small and large parties, which is nice if you're traveling with a group. They really do Tex-Mex right here. At a lot of places you can tell when things are canned or pre-made, but that was not the case here. Everything tasted fresh, from the guacamole to the sauces, and the flavors were bold without being overwhelming. I especially liked the fajitas, and the portions are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth. I'm not a big drinker, but the margaritas and other drinks seemed very popular and I saw a lot of people enjoying them. The overall vibe is lively and fun, with a great energy that fits Sedona well. If you can sit on the patio, the red rock views are an added bonus and really elevate the experience. The wait staff was incredibly attentive. They even kept us updated on when our food would be coming out, which I appreciated. They really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and that everything came out promptly. I also liked the little details, like the javelina imagery throughout the restaurant, which gives it some personality and ties into the local feel. They bring out complimentary chips and salsa, and they're constantly refilling them, which is always a plus. A couple small things to note that others mention as well: it can get pretty loud when it's busy, and parking in the area can be a bit tight, so plan accordingly. Overall, it's a great place with a fun atmosphere, solid food, and consistently good service. I know the next time we are back in Sedona, we will definitely be coming here again.

(Please look at my photo of the sad leftovers). We had written down all of the suggestions of things to do in Sedona and Elote Cafe was at the top of our list of things to do. Apparently getting a reservation at this place is super difficult to get, so we decided to order takeout. Elote dip, pork cheeks, green tamale, carne asada, pork belly tacos and corn cake for dessert. The elote dip was enjoyable especially when eaten with chips, the green tamale was better off used as a trampoline at a kids party (it was spongy, flavorless and possibly good to scrub your dishes), the carne asada was dead like the cow it came from and flavorless, the pork belly tacos were barely edible because of the overwhelming sour taste of lemon, and last but least was the corn cake, it was dry and about as exciting as a retirement home party. We wasted our money thinking that a place with a waiting list to get on would be an experience just like everything else we experienced in Sedona but instead Elote Cafe is a bad tourist trap that has as much charm and taste as Del Taco. Save your money and look elsewhere for some great Mexican inspired food even if it means you need to travel to Tucson.

The restaurant itself has a lot of character, it full of textures and colors, had a cute little fountain outside. It just feels homey and welcoming. The menu...is hella pricey for a tamale. I mean even with inflation these days I could get a tamale at most spots where I live for like half the price. I just told myself it's Sedona just except it lol so I went wild and got their extra special tamale with lots of topping to make it a more complete meal. I chose the chicken mole for my filling. I also got their dairy free horchata. First thing the horchata was delicious! Creamy, great texture, not to sweet, seasoned just right. Extra points for being dairy free as milk is not my bodies friend. The tamale however was a major let down. I was so close to just sending it back, but was on a time crunch and starving. The masa was so salty. The mole sauce was barely existent and had no complexity or flavor really. I didn't taste the chocolate or the Chile . Just blah. The toppings and horchata helped make it possible to consume despite the saltiness. So overpriced salty tamale gets 2 stars, ambiance 5, and horchata 5, which is why this place gets a three stars overall. I wanted to love this spot so bad, and maybe it was a bad day, or the wrong thing to get...but their name is literally tamaliza. Their tamale should have rocked my world.
