Yum, this place is bomb when it comes to BBQ! Located in Uptown, but off the main road, we parked in a small adjacent public parking lot. It's a casual eatery with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, but make sure to plan your visit as they have limited hours and will run out of popular items fast. Hours are 11am-5pm, and when we arrived around 4pm ish, they were out of potato salad and coleslaw. Ordered: 1/2 rack pork ribs- about 6 ribs, slightly chewy on the outside, but tender and fall of the bone at the same time, and doused in their sweet tangy BBQ sauce. The Stud burger- yum! Delicious burger with 3 large onion rings, bacon, cheese, BBQ sauce , and special bun. We chose their sweet potato fries instead of regular and omg they were some of the best we have ever had so far. Highly addictive. House salad- we shared the more than generous fresh green salad with home made croutons. You can tell their thousand island dressing was home made as well. We really enjoyed our all around really good meal! We were hoping to make it back another day, but after long day of hiking, they were closed. Bummer Good food and very reasonably priced.
What I'll remember about this place is the service! The owner or the guy working in the window was so attentive and friendly. It was obvious that they were backed up about a 30 minute wait in the kitchen, but he was out front. He even brought out our appetizers first so that we had something to eat while we waited for our burger. He brought it to our table, checked in with us, and then we were able to feed our face with a delicious burger, fries, and fried pickles. We were that hungry so we split a stud burger which was Cheddar cheese, Bacon, BBQ sauce, topped with an Onion Ring. He even offered to cut it in half for us without even asking. The barbecue sauce was more on the sweeter side, which I didn't love, but it was still delicious and the service definitely made up for it. This restaurant is located in the main part of town. You order at the counter get a number and they deliver your food to your table. Very, very casual environment. Five stars for the service.
Exactly the bite we needed! We went into town post-hike to grab some food and souvenirs before we headed back to the Valley, and I wanted to re-try Outlaw Grille in uptown. It's situated in the heart of uptown, with outdoor seating only! You order at the window and then they come serve you at your table. Service was friendly and quick - I appreciated the swiftness, considering this was our first meal after a long hike in the sun. Both meals - baby back ribs (half rack) and the burger - were great choices! They were savory, juicy, and the sides complimented perfectly. The portions are huge (as you can see in the pics!), so definitely come hungry. Overall a good experience and a staple food stop in Sedona!
This is pure horsepower into the very fiber of your tastebuds. favorites are their signature hamburger oh the barbecue you won't need a tiny designer dog or a Swiss bank account just 78 years of hell yeah and a guy named Dale. This is a fast fast burger official and most epic foundation of wholesome ingredients.

Decent burgers at a decent price, Outlaw Grille is a small joint with outdoor seating that serves wings, burgers, fries and salads. Focusing on their burgers, the bbq sauce that is used is tangy and a touch sweet. Overall a decent spot. Taste: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Value for money: 4/5 We had: 1) Classic: can't go wrong here! 2) Ace High: the blue cheese was extremely strong and potent. For the most part it was all I could taste 3) Pulled pork: Sauce was extremely sweet. Clearly for a sweeter palate Overall it was decent, just strong flavours!
Outlaw Grille is one of my favorite stops in Sedona, especially after a long hike when your body is asking for a refuel. The Morning After burger is my go-to, and it hits every time. The egg was cooked perfectly, the spice level had just enough kick without turning lunch into a personal challenge. The silkiness of the egg is one of my favorite additions to any burger. I've also had the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches in the past, and I'd recommend both. This place knows its way around meat without making it complicated. The sweet potato fries are another win crispy, hot, and not doing that sad limp fry thing that ruins everyone's afternoon. Overall, this is a staple Sedona burger stop for me. If you're coming off the trails and want something satisfying, this is the move. It can get very busy in the afternoon on the weekend, so just be aware that the wait can vary.
My friends and I recently stopped by after hiking and exploring downtown. My friends ordered the outlaw classic with cheese and the beef brisket burger. They absolutely loved their burgers and noted that they were pretty large so they had some leftovers for dinner. We also got two orders of the dill darts and I absolutely loved those. I got a side just for myself. They were perfectly crunchy and came with some wasabi ranch which complemented them nicely. The gentleman at the counter was really nice and the ambience of this shop is really cool. It's kind of like an indoor/outdoor situation after you order from their window.
Really great place to enjoy real food and the staff is friendly. They let me know upfront it will take about 20 mins or so, which was no problem. It's a nice little place you walk up to and order from a simple menu and they bring the food out to you. I enjoyed my late lunch on Sunday and ordered the slim burger and potato salad. I hope they stay open for a long time. It was a nice treat for my birthday week. I also added a pic of my yelp water cup.
The food was recommended by our Pink Jeep operator, and it didn't disappoint. You order at a door and drinks are self service grab and go. I have lived in the Verde Valley for 31 plus years and this is the first time I've been to Outlaw grill. We had the pulled pork sandwich and the Cowboy Up Burger. Not only was the customer service phenomenal and some of the best I've ever received in the area, the food was absolutely delicious! Prices are great! Our family will be regular customers moving forward! Thank you for the great experience!!
WOW, just WOW!!! We came by for lunch, you order then find seating. It was busy so they did let us know our food would take 40 min, WELL WORTH THE WAIT. The BURGERS are DELICIOUS!!! The service is great as well definitely a great place after a hike!

They are very friendly and offer suggestions to meet your needs. I had the SOB burger and it was a meal in its own, the chiles and avocado mixed well together to give it a great tex mex flavor! Skip your chains and check them out!!
Outlaw Grill was a great casual stop while we were in Uptown Sedona. I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich, and it was delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the sandwich had a ton of flavor, and the bun was soft and fresh. The portions were also very generous, and the fries were easily big enough to share. It's not a traditional sit-down restaurant. You order at the counter, find a table, and they bring your food out to you. The location is really convenient, right in Uptown and close to tons of shops, so it's an easy place to stop for lunch while exploring. The actual setup of the restaurant was a little unusual, with the tables arranged along a long hallway, but it definitely made the space memorable. Overall, the food was great, the portions were generous, and I'd absolutely stop in again. read more
Stopped at Outlaw Grille for lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon and luckily found a table inside their air conditioned den. This is an order at the register then find your table establishment. Much of the menu was tempting, but we settled on the Rowdy Reuben with sweet potato fries and the Rajun Cajun with seasoned fries. There's a nice variety of canned and bottled sodas in the fridge next to the checkout, so we snagged the local sumac berries strawberry and peaches & cream Navajo Fizz sodas. These quenched our thirst without being too sweet or carbonated, and it was difficult to not drink more than one. Our order came out fairly quickly, in about 15 minutes, and was piping hot and fresh. Both sandwiches and fries were great and included fairly large portion sizes. The Rajun Cajun featured an impressive amount of thin cut avocado slices and bacon, although I really did not taste the Cajun seasoning. My favorites were the crispy sweet potato fries and Reuben sandwich with homemade sauerkraut. Be sure to request some of Outlaw Grille's homemade ranch to go along with it if you're a fries + ranch person. We enjoyed visiting this unique eatery in downtown Sedona, and would return for the fair prices & tasty sandwiches and fries. read more

Upon visiting Sedona for the first time, we noticed that photos of food didn't seem that impressive despite prices being impressive. Outlaw Grille served as an exception. You order at the window, take a number, and seat yourself in a small shopping complex. While there's the option to sit inside a small/air-conditioned room, there's also shaded patio seating and seating in the hallway of the connected small shopping building, where most of the tables are. It's completely shaded but open to outside air. After ordering the The Morning After burger (Fried Egg, Bacon, Cheddar, Fresh Jalapenos) + small Seasoned Fries (for 1-2 people), we waited about 15 minutes for the food to be brought to our table. They were kind enough to cut the burger in half and provide an egg for each half, since they knew we were sharing!! Indeed, 1 burger and 1 small fry is enough to feed 2 people. As expected, the burger was juicy, flavorful, and the egg was perfectly fried to still be runny. Outlaw Grille is a small burger joint packed with big flavors. No frills, no nonsense -- just good ass food at reasonable prices. Bonus: asking for a free water cup will score you delicious Sedona spring water! read more

After a deep dive into Sedona burger menus, we landed on Outlaw Grille--and I'm glad we did. We raced over around 4:30pm (they close at 5), placed our order at the window, and grabbed a table in the section with AC (most tables are outside but shaded). For such a low-key setup, the food came out seriously impressive. The sweet potato fries were some of the best we had all trip--crispy, not greasy, and perfectly seasoned. My brother-in-law declared his burger a top-10 contender (though he gave it a pinch of salt to really bring it home). Only downside? I wish they stayed open later. This spot would be a perfect casual dinner go-to. read more

This place is hard to spot on the main street but the back street there's a big sign as shown on the pictures I posted. I had The Stud it was big definitely fills you up I had it medium cooked they usually cook it medium well making it less juicy which I do not like. They give free refills for drinks. read more
Damn, I mean Damn! this place makes some good grub! Wifey ordered a brisket sandwich and I ordered their Morning After breakfast burger which came with a fried egg, bacon, cheddar cheese, and grilled jalapeños. We also ordered onions rings. Wifey's brisket sandwich was delicious, had a nice smoky flavor and the BBQ sauce was so good that I bought a jar of it. My burger was top notch and the grilled jalapeños added such a great flavor. The onion rings are home made and are delicious! Note: the seating area down the side of the building has small tables kind of hard to seat four people, but it's doable. That being said if you're in the area, hungry and want great food this place is a must! read more
I went back in February of this year. So this review is from what I remember from back then. I went to do Devils Bridge first thing in the morning and after doing the hike, went into town. Looked up places to eat, wasn't looking for anything crazy and this place was what I was looking for. It's small hole in the wall and that's perfectly fine. That's what I was looking for. The guy who helped me was nice and right across from where you order there is a small room to eat it in which is quaint and nice. Simply put it was a nice experience and I enjoyed the food and the surroundings. read more

Wish we knew about this place the last time we visited Sedona! It is definitely a hidden gem! Half the price of the other surrounding places to eat! The food is really good and the portions are large! I got a Cobb salad and it was huge! Fresh and very tasty. My husband got a very nice burger that he said was much better than many other places. The seasoned fries were so good and you got a lot! We only ordered size small but it was huge. Very reasonable prices. Friendly staff. This will be our go to for lunch every time we visit Sedona now! read more

Outlaw Grill, Sedona We took a quick day trip to Sedona on a party bus for a corporate event. Grabbed a quick lunch at Outlaw Grill. Order-at-window style, grab an open table and wait for your food. Food is VERY fresh and piping hot. Loved the Rueben sammy and seasoned fries. The classic burger was bland as heck, had to dump a lot of salt on the patty to make it edible. Everything else about the burger was good (ie - toppings great) but the patty was so blah. Side salad was fresh but bland ranch dressing. Overall? Wasn't bad but I'm not dying to go back. read more

Food we tried: - onions rings: 5/5, crispy and not too oily. The home made ranch was delicious. - SOB burger: 3/5. Everything needed seasoning. There was only a mild kick in terms of spice level. The avocado was generous - Outlaw 1/2 lb Patty with choose my own cheese (pepper jack in this case). Added mushrooms and grilled onion: 2/5. Everything again needed seasoning. Big portion. I ended up taking half of it home. - price wise this is a good price for the area. Still more than I would like to pay in terms of flavor, but that's Sedona. There is an approximately $1.50 credit card fee - Worth it if you can get a seat in the air conditioning portion that is right across from where you order -The Palo Verde shuttle can take you from parking lot five to in front of the restaurant for free. It is a very short two minute walk from the free parking lot. read more

Service fantastic but the "award winning " rack of ribs is really the most let down set of food you can ever order. The ribs are horrific... they overcooked it and it is harder to eat than cardboard. They burgers are like actually decent but the ribs really ruined the whole meal with just hope inedible they are. Would not recommend you getting it ever. The seating outside is very nice with heat lamps for the cold. Tables are small got 4 but great for 2 read more

Amazing hamburgers!! I would even say the best hamburgers in Sedona. The location is in Sedona's downtown and has plenty of parking opportunities. The service is fast, although I recommend ordering online for pickup early because they get super busy. There is plenty of cafeteria type seating, but only a few outdoor spots. If you are in the area, craving a burger, this is the place! read more
Outlaw Grille was our first stop when we got to Sedona. My husband loves burgers and Outlaw Grille had an outdoor area that allowed dogs! My husband and I decided to share the SOB burger with fries and a side of boneless chicken wings. For the boneless chicken wings, I decided to go with their spicy BBQ sauce. The burger was just OK to me. It was a bit on the dry side and I think the patty itself lacked seasoning. So I think it's better to order one of their burgers with sauce. The fries were good. The boneless chicken wings were good too -- I kinda wished they had bone in chicken wings though. The spicy BBQ sauce was really delicious. It wasn't too spicy or anything. Overall, the food is decent and the price is amazing for being in Uptown Sedona. It's not my favorite but I wouldn't mind coming back and trying it again. read more
