5 Stars - Amazing Food, Outstanding Service, and Views That Take Your Breath Away! WOW! Open Range in Sedona absolutely exceeded our expectations! From the incredible food to the breathtaking views, this place deserves every single one of its five stars! The French dip was hands down one of the BEST I've ever had! The meat was tender, flavorful, and piled high on a delicious roll. Every bite was amazing! The taco salad was equally impressive--fresh, loaded with toppings, and absolutely delicious! And can we talk about that PATIO VIEW?! The scenery is simply breathtaking! Sedona's gorgeous red rocks stretch out in front of you, and we were even lucky enough to catch a beautiful rainbow! You seriously couldn't ask for a better backdrop while enjoying a fantastic meal. The service was just as impressive as the food! No waiting around to be acknowledged, no wondering where our server was, and no long wait for our food! Everything was prompt, attentive, and exactly how a great dining experience should be! Yes, you're going to spend a little money here, but let me tell you--IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY! Between the generous portions, delicious food, excellent service, and million-dollar views, Open Range delivers the complete package! If you're visiting Sedona, do yourself a favor and stop here. Grab a seat on the patio, order the French dip, and soak in those incredible views! We would absolutely come back! Open Range, you knocked it out of the park!
I stopped by for lunch after hiking Devil's Bridge. While the restaurant was not busy, the service did not meet my expectations. We ordered a soda and a Heat Wave Margarita, the soda arrived quickly but my margarita was forgotten. When our food was served, I had to check with the server, who confirmed the drink had not been rung up :( Regarding the meal, the Beast Burger and fries were excellent. However, I noticed that the ramekins for the fries were not lined with wax paper, which felt a bit unhygienic. Just a personal preference! Other than that the Sedona views were beautiful!
Walked in on a Wednesday evening at 7pm with no reservation in a group of 20 people. Split us up in 3 tables but that was fine. Food: Steak - presentation left a lot to be desire but it tasted way better than it looked. Great tasting sear on the steak. So much butter on the potatoes though. Old fashioned - pretty standard. Pretty good with the steak. Service: Good. Food didn't take too long especially considering a big group like ours ordered at the same time. Ambiance: The view was absolutely spectacular. You look out into the canyon cliffs and the sun hits it just right as it sets.
Ate today at the open range grill and tavern. I we were not disappointed as the food was great. We had the bison and the beast burgers. Both were well prepared and very tasty. The beast burger had great flavor and the mixture of meats made every bite even tastier and the garlic alioli put it over the top. The bison burger was lean and lived up to its billing and it toppings only added to the taste delight. The servings was attentive and the view of scenery outside was beautiful. When in Sedona again I'll definitely try my next meal at the Open Range Grill and Tavern will be enjoyed.
Service here is always great! We come by lots, my favorite is the new salmon quinoa bowl, it's a large portion and well seasoned. My gf got the French dip and wasn't too impressed, but we get the boozy lemonades and the southwestern dip every time and are never disappointed. Sometimes have live music, very nice shaded patio view of the mountains.

We were here for lunch on our 1st day in Sedona. This place is not crowded and no waiting, also has a view. We walked in and were immediately seated. I had their street taco and husband had their pulled pork hamburger. Both are pretty good. We are happy with that and it serve the purpose!
Quite the picturesque restaurant Ive been so far in Sedona. Sit out in the patio and just enjoy the scenery. Food is like steak, burgers, and mexican food. Service was alright nothing bad. You're really paying for the majestic location and the view.

The food was good. We had the Mexican Sampler, New York Steak, Beet Salad, Caramel Lava Cake and Seven Layer Chocolate Cake. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. The view from the dining room was gorgeous. Very clean and family friendly.
We discovered Open Range Grill & Tavern when stopped for lunch in Sedona. We were greeted by a friendly staff member, given a table with an awe-inspiring view of the buttes. We enjoyed sharing the Mexican Sampler while sipping Modelo Negra & Prickly Pear Margarita.
Great place to enjoy your lunch or dinner here in Sedona! Open Range Grill is located on the second floor at the Sinagua Plaza. The view from the patio dining area is amazing! I walked in without any reservations and I was pretty lucky to get a table on the patio dining very quickly, about 5 minutes waiting the most. My waitress was very nice, took my order immediately. I felt eating a bowl of soup before my meal, so I asked her "what's the soup of the day?" She said it is some chicken and vegetables, and I thought it was okay and ordered a bowl. She brought the soup out fast, in a huge bowl! First of all, the bowl was HUGE, but the amount of soup was less than a bowl for sure. And secondly, but most importantly, it was a beef stew soup with veggies. Okay, it wasn't chicken as she said it, but I didn't say anything about it, because I like beef soup too, and it was delicious! For second, I ordered the French Dip sandwich with fries. The meat was smoked prime rib and it was very tasty! My meal was delicious and satisfying! No room for dessert! Maybe next time. I'm sure I will return.
We had an awesome experience at Open Range Grill and Tavern tonight! My wife and I sat at the bar and were taken care of by Victor, and he absolutely made the experience even better. Super friendly, attentive, and had a great attitude the entire time. My wife and I both had the Oak Creek Amber beers which were ice cold and perfect, and my son and daughter-in-law enjoyed the mocktails -- they were delicious and well made. Everything was reasonably priced, the atmosphere was great, and the service was top notch. You can tell this place cares about creating a good experience from start to finish. We'll definitely be back and will absolutely ask for Victor again. Highly recommend checking this place out!
We were out walking, and happened upon the Open Range Grill & Tavern. Kristen was on it! She was not in our face or pushy, but was simply as attentive as can be. Our two Taco salads were absolutely delicious - plenty of tomatoes, black beans, corn, lettuce, and cheese. The view was incredible, and the atmosphere was energetic enough, but not distracting. But who the heck came up with charging a "health tax??" If anything, eating a salad should have earned us a deduction versus costing us extra! When reading the "fine print" on our receipt, I see the "health tax" is actually a 3% charge put on meals by the *restaurant* to justify their insufficient pay to the servers! Basically they are passing the cost of providing health insurance on to their customers. SHAME on this tax, bill, law - whether it's by the city or state! read more

Friends!!! Came up to Sedona for the day from Phoenix and happened upon The Open Range! We requested a Patio Table for lunch and IMMEDIATELY were taken to a gorgeous table with gorgeous views!!! The food was GREAT!!! We were in the mood for burgers; and they did not disappoint!!! Stop by and give it try, ask for Michael, he took excellent care of us!!! Grade: A++++. Should be 4-4.5 rating at least! We didn't want any fancy food (too much of that for us in Sedona) & loved the chill vibes here. Inside and outside have great views of the red rocks. Food was solid Cornbread appetizer: 7/10 (too much corn in it lol) Patty melt: 9/10 Pulled pork sandwich: 9/10 Carrot cake: 12/10-biggest piece of cake ever, gotta get it! Lava cake: 9/10, loved the caramel And a pitcher of Michelob, perfect. read more

Stopped by Open Range for a quick lunch while exploring uptown Sedona and it didn't disappoint! For the price and portions, definitely two thumbs up. Super friendly server who took good care of us! We wanted an outdoor seat to get the most of the view but were unlucky. The view inside is still gorgeous! We tried the cornbread with prickly pear butter. The cornbread was good but the butter wasn't really much in my opinion. That came out super quickly! Our mains took a little while to come out. We attended a biker event in Scottsdale, Arizona, and our group decided to take a road trip to Sedona, which led us to this tavern for lunch. Ten of us opted to try their renowned Cactus Margaritas, and our server, Angela, provided exceptional service, being kind, prompt, attentive, and courteous. Views are 11/10 and I think that this place rides on the views and the food is good but not great by any means. It was definitely good enough where you're not mad do you know what I mean? Service was good she was super kind and made sure all our needs are met but the food wasn't anything to write home about. We also had the green chili Mac and if you don't like spice at all this good it had good flavor not amazing though. Come for views and drinks in my opinion read more

Like they say, fantastic burgers, grilled to your desired taste - medium and medium rare were excellent choices for a juicy burger. Onion rings were the frozen kind and the fries were ok. Ranch and chicken tenders received seal of approval from the little one. Kids menu had great choices. Cookie was hard, would have nicer to be a little softer. Drink options were plentiful. Expensive for a family dinner out for cheeseburgers, but this is Sedona and this was walkable from the villa. Server Anjelina was great and attentive, 5 stars for her service! read more

Solid local spot in downtown Sedona. The ratings aren't high compared to other places however we were glad to eat here after seeing the menu and it was in the area where we were shopping. Large dining room with windows that overlook the beautiful landscape. It wasn't too busy and we were seated right away. It took the waiter a min to visit then too much time between visits. The communication was off and I had to ask my party if I wasn't being clear with my questions. Anyway. Turned out fine though I never got an answer and don't know why he didn't go ASK where the desserts were from. The mushroom grilled cheese order is two full sandwiches cut in half and a cup of soup, therefore I shared it with my MiL and ordered my own chili. Now the chili is described as 'fresh ground prime rib'. It was hamburger and the consistency was watery. Big disappointment for the $10 for just a cup, but that mushroom grilled cheese was great. I didn't try the tomato bisque. The highlight of the table was the pulled pork sandwich. It has such an amazing flavor. Too bad the coleslaw with it is tasteless. Cream- based, not vinegar. Total bill for 4 was about $110. I did have a margarita and husband had a draught. In-laws had water. The marg was blah for being $16. House marg with tajin rim and couple fresh jalapeños was the request. Only had the rim when he brought it to the table. Not the best but not the worst either. read more

We come to Sedona often and this is always a stop (sometimes multiple times if we are here for a few days!) Casual and contemporary American grill with a rustic-chic decor! Friendly service! In the heart of Sedona, they have huge windows and an outdoor patio area with amazing views of the Red Rocks! Dog friendly patio with a special menu for your dogg. They are committed to fresh, organic, locally raised and grown ingredients. The burgers were juicy and grilled just right! The sweet potato fries were tasty. The yummy cornbread comes with a prickly pear butter! The taco salad is huge! read more

The views are incredible! Alot of the shops offer 15% off this place. I really like how this place is dog friendly and they have a simple but cute dog menu. This place is busy, but never too busy to where there is a wait or no tables available. The food has been descent every time we eat here. I tried the carne asada last time, but it was not my favorite. It tasted over cook and no where near the taste of carne asada, but rather a very flavorless meat. I did try the grilled cheese and mushroom sandwich, which comes with a small cup of tomato soup. That was an amazing, super cheesy sandwich, and the tomato soup was tasted perfect and creamy. I highly recommend the grilled cheese and mushroom sandwich. Service was great, views are great, my pup enjoys eating here every time. The only thing I didn't like was the carne asada and the items seem a bit over priced, but it's because this restaurant is in the heart of the tourist area. read more

One can get a bit parched while shopping in all the great galleries, boutiques and gift shops in the downtown Sedona area! This local watering hole gave us the perfect opportunity to take a break and wet our whistles! Eli graciously poured us up a few drinks and shared some local knowledge and suggestions for things to do during our stay! We sampled the Wings because, well...Wings! Wow they were so good, hot crispy and still tender and moist inside! Great place to spend some time in Sedona! read more
