In a world of high-priced plumbing companies with big advertising budgets, these two are gems. Highest recommendation. We needed a leaky kitchen faucet repaired. Another plumbing service (fairly highly rated) quickly diagnosed that a simple cartridge replacement was needed. The first outfit's estimate to repair seemed way high, so I paid the diagnostic fee we had agreed on in advance and said I wanted to check around. I called Archie's, and described what the first plumbers found. They said if we confirm that's the problem when we check it out, here's our fee (one fifth of the quote from the other plumbers!). They showed up on time, were very friendly and professional, and quickly completed the repair for exactly the cost they had estimated over the phone. He lied about trying to contact us, called my mom "annoying" and was just a generally horrible, unpleasant, awful person. Did someone just kick his cat? Did a pipe burst in his head? We may never know. If you had a pleasant experience with this guy you were lucky. He might be a half decent plumber. We really appreciated Archie's Plumbing services. We had a link under our kitchen sink. I called him and he promptly called me back later that day. His schedule wasn't ridiculously booked where we got squeezed into see him about 4 days out. He took a look at the problem and gave us a few recommendations. He wasn't totally sure where the leak came from. He said to call him back after testing out his suggestions. After a couple of days of trying to find the leak, we spotted the issue. Keith, the owner of Archie's Plumbing, has always called us right back. Hes has a plumbed two of our redone bathrooms and helped with our ancient kitchen faucet more than once. I left a message for him this morning and he called back at 9am and was her at 10, even though it sounded like he was working on something else. it is now fixed at 11am. His estimates were more affordable and the work has always been done with warranties that we have never had to use. Nice pleasant guy and no BS which is very nice. Shocking based on the reviews but I would never call again. I had a simple job, had to wait 5 weeks for an appt. and did because he is supposed to be so good and is located in my neighborhood. Showed up, kept telling me I didn't need a new faucet and he would fix it. I told him I bought a new one (same one- so no issues with an install) and wanted a new one which is why I called. I should have known when he didn't show up with a tool box he wasn't planning on working. Stayed 10 minutes- charged me $150 and left. What is so great about this plumber?? I had a sink leak and needed help to replace the faucet. I called archies plumbing and added the number to my contacts. I further talked to him about my leak and what sinks would work out. He would respond positive at first but later on, he started saying rude things like this is a chore you should do your self, and you are so annoying pls stop talking to me so much, he also complained about talking for 1 month and didn't care to fix anything. Needed an Insinkerator Tank installed. I had already purchased the Tank from the manufacturer. A friend recommended a plumber. I described the job, which was not his expertise. He referred me to Archie's. Keith, an owner, returned my call and quoted me $108.50 incl tax, and a Senior discount on the phone. His next available opening was two weeks. I made the appointment, and impatiently waited. I figured the I would get a second quote. Answering adv for $50 off, I called for a free estimate. Everything was fine until we started to have some water intrusion in our basement, and we called to make sure it was not a plumbing leak. Keith came by the next day and made sure everything looked ok (it was not a plumbing issue) and gave us some ideas as to why/how the water might be coming in.
