I have been their customer for years and they always come through with fast reliable service, but the other day they went beyond. I transposed numbers paying them by Zelle and paid way more than the invoice. Jerry called me up and told me of my mistake and refunded the overpayment. Thank you! The honesty is more than appreciated. read more

Still love coming here every time! Went for one key copy and didn't have cash! Doh! Jerry is always so nice. I wish I had more keys!

I was in need of a new lock and keys for my house as the current ones I had were not working properly. I called Archers Lock and Security based off a recommendation. I am so glad for the recommendation! Jerry Garcia, owner, answered all of my questions as I didn't know what was the best solution. He asked very specific questions, requested pictures of my current locks and keys and then proceeded to detail what were the options. Jerry provided information which included saving me money!!! Who does that anymore??? He was very open and honest of his pricing which I did not have any issue with. Once all was decided, an appointment was scheduled the next day. Woo hoo!! Jerry is very communicative so that you aren't wondering if anyone will show up at the designated appointment time. He showed up early, which was fabulous. Jerry is a professional and explained everything that was to be done. There were no hidden surprises. Also, before leaving, he made sure all the locks and keys worked to my liking. One handle was a little sticky and he right away, without hesitation, fixed it. I highly recommend Archers Lock and Security for any issues that you're experiencing with your locks and/or keys. Jerry is very prompt, professional and a friendly face when you're dealing with unwieldy locks and keys. Thank you so much Jerry! read more

I went and ask for a key copy and the guy gave a complete different key it doesn't even get into the lock. Fist and last time going to this place read more

had a fantastic experience with Archers Lock. From start to finish, their service was professional, efficient, and friendly. I needed a new lock installed, and they arrived right on time, fully prepared with everything needed for the job. The quality of their work is excellent--the new lock works smoothly and gives me real peace of mind. read more

No warranty on their work. It would be professional if they actually backed up their work. They cost us money with no guarantee and this was after my cousin had them do work for decades on several houses...so we went to another company who fixed Archer's job and gave us a two-year warranty. I won't say the other company's name here because I don't want to create any tension between them. read more

I've been using a local mom and pop gentlemen for many years, and he's retiring. So it's time to look for a new specialist for the years to come. Jerry is very friendly and down to earth. He listened to exactly what I said. They ordered my parts, as they were very unique, and when the wrong part arrived, Jerry was quick to call me and let me know the snafu. Great communication. They did find they correct part and after everything I asked for was done, like extra keys made, we talked about master key systems for my other buildings and making sure he has an entire crew to handle a large business rekey, I was happy with all I heard. I look forward to many years of a good relationship. I almost forgot! For everything that Archers and Jerry did for me, it was less than $100. That's a great value, in my opinion. They went out of their way and a weeks worth of great communication, all for less than a hundred bucks. That's a great value! read more

I used these guys for the first time a few weeks ago - they were wonderful - for that service call they deserve a 5 star rating ! So, with that great experience in mind - I decided to use them again - and this time, I decided to drop by the store in person - and there was a different person there (than I had worked with before) and within a minute this person was rude and angry - I had to walk out. For that experience, they deserve less than 1 star. Hence my 3 star rating. read more

Archers Lock and Security - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Encino, California

I had the pleasure of meeting Jerry at Archers Lock & Security early April to get a few extra keys cut. He was friendly, attentive and very informed. When it was all said and done he sent one of his technicians to my home and they rekeyed my whole house in a very timely yet affordable way. Prior to the actual appointment Jerry stayed in constant contact with me to make sure we were all set to go, and to top it all off he even called me a few days later to make sure we were completely satisfied. I will most certainly be back whenever I need a locksmith. Thank you Jerry read more

I recommend Archer's Lock and Security for all your locksmith needs. Jerry, who I think is the owner, is very knowledgeable, professional and attentive. He did my job quickly and well. I felt Archers Lock and Security's prices to be competitive with the going rate of the market. Archers is great for a fast and convenient locksmith in the San Fernando Valley. I give them 5 stars for their quality and service. read more

Brought in 2 locks I needed fitted to my home key & did not know that was possible, but Jerry smiled and said "No problem " He took care of business, I was very happy and satisfied. Jerry made the experience very satisfying, so I will be taking my future needs to him. Thanks Jerry. read more

Archers is a local privately owned business. Service was great. Jerry was friendly and helped with unlocking my front door after I left the key inside and accidentally locked the door from my app. I'd highly recommend Jerry for all your lock/key needs. read more

Super patient and highly professional team who rescued our house sitter who mistakenly locked herself out of the house. They were about to close for lunch but came through regardless. They were patient as we were coordinating this from Illinois and I was bracing for what I assumed would be an exorbitant amount of money but was so so reasonable. I am so happy to have used them to meet our needs. read more

Fantastic, quick service. I needed to have some locks re-keyed. The lock technician was very knowledgeable and friendly, and accomplished the job quickly. I definitely recommend Archers. read more

I went into the shop yesterday afternoon, needing to have one lock repaired and two locks replaced. They gave me excellent service. They explained my choices and gave me recommendations later that afternoon they sent somebody over to my house to do the work. He was very careful and did an excellent job, I was impressed by the quality of the work and the customer service. Their price seemed very reasonable. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them. read more

Absolutely the best at what they do and the communication is outstanding. Between Jerry and Pedro, they care, have so much patience, they get the job done, answer all of my questions and they share so much knowledge with me. I feel so confident in everything they do and learn along the way. I've used them for our apartment building's front door which gets used frequently and sometimes, aggressively. Every aspect of the door has been attended to and is currently working the best it has in years since they've been coming. You don't need to hesitate to give them a call when you need help with all things door/lock related. read more

Archers has THE best customer service. I left a message to get an appointment, and Jerry called me back probably within an hour. He was professional, very nice, and walked me through replacement and repair options. Pedro came to my home to fix the locks. He was like Jerry, very professional, helpful, smart and didn't talk down to me like a few service people have tried to do or take advantage of my need for help. read more

Walked in and walked out with multiple keys in less than 15 minutes. Great value, great service, couldn't have been easier. Thanks!

My neighbor downstairs was locked out of her apartment and asked me to assist in finding a locksmith. They came on a Friday during rush hour!! They were very friendly and even more efficient once they got there. Before I could walk downstairs to my neighbors apartment, her door was open and she was inside getting her credit card ! Their price was reasonable and I don't want to advertise it here but it was comparable (actually cheaper) to the other locksmiths we called/who responded. For it to be a Friday and at 5:30pm, they got back to me super fast when I sent out quote request and like I said, they showed up super fast and were done even before I walked downstairs. I would definitely use them again and I do recommend them to other yelpers !! read more

I have used Archers twice now in the last few months, once to have spare keys made and again to have locks rekeyed. They were freindly, efficient and arrived early! =) Gotta love that! read more

I am the president of our HOA. We've had a rash of attempted break-ins to our building and this "lock and security" company kept coming out to fix the broken lock. The last time the guy came I attempted to talk to the him, but he wouldn't talk to me at all and was rude. I get it- he didn't know who I was but when I identified himself he should have called the office for advice, instead he blew me off. And guess what, after fixing this same lock several times - at $500 a pop- over the last few months, they broke it again and got in to our garage. I don't post here often because I usually have good experiences, but this company is downright dangerous. To make things worse- they aren't even a mom-and-pop store- they are a corporate company with someone no name corporate bureaucracy, which makes me trust them even less: https://sovsecurity.com/contact/ Their worker was aware he had been there a week prior to fix the same thing, and he didn't bother to take a look at why or what to fix. He just repaired what was broken. Their website makes a bunch of vapid empty claims of security nonsense but I would never trust this company to touch my building ever again. There are dozens of companies out there offering the same service. Why risk your family's safety with someone who does a half-ass job? read more

Jerry and his staff are great to work with, and we use them frequently at multiple commercial properties. The communication throughout the job is fantastic, they are reasonable, and the completed project is always 100%. We look forward to many more years working with Archer's! read more

I was provided this number by my HOA in order to get a mailbox key replacement. The man that answered the phone seemed to be confused on what I wanted him to do in order to change the lock (YOU are the locksmith, sir), then advised it would be at least 4 days before any work could be done. I advised I will simply call another company to complete the work since I could likely get it taken care of in a quicker fashion. He said yup, then hung up the phone. Stellar service. Pleasure doing business with you... read more

My roommate and I just moved into a new apartment and had to get our mailbox lock changed. They were quick to respond to my messages and the appointment was quick and easy! John helped us and was super nice! Definitely will recommend to friends and will call again if we have any locksmith needs. Thanks again! read more

It doesn't get better than these guys...their service is truly superlative! Consistent, reliable, competent service regardless of your needs, they can handle anything from basic key or battery replacements, to whole-house security set-ups. It doesn't hurt that they are so incredibly personable too! I walked in there today just as they were ready to close, and I was kindly helped instead of being told to come back tomorrow. How cool is that? A lot of places in Los Angeles will just point to the "closed" sign in the window and shrug, lol, which I respect because if you miss their hours it isn't really fair to make them stay later just to help you, right? But, again, these guys are willing to exceed one's expectations and they always do that in my book. A small business that is truly worthy of our patronage. Check them out my fellow YELPERS! read more

I had been meaning to get spare keys for my apartment (I have been using the original keys provided by the property management company) and my garage. I kept finding listings in search for some key-making vending machine company but I wasn't all that certain I could trust those to make an accurate key. So I looked on Yelp and found Archers. As soon as I saw the photo of the storefront, I knew this was going to be a company that would know how to make keys the "old school" way. And I was 100% right! Jerry made the keys, only took a few minutes ... we also had a good conversation as to why those vending machines aren't reliable (he says he's had to recut keys for lots of customers for whom the "automated" keymaker created non-functioning keys, which I'd already suspected). The price was quite reasonable and every key worked on the first try. The human expertise beats the machine again! read more

I'm a local property manager which means I often need keys made. Great customer service.

Great place, the staff are always awesome in there. Takes me back to times of old! They can do everything for you, nothing is ever too much trouble for them, including resetting a safe combo in a safe lid for a friend who had lost the combination ....... even when she forgot the combo and couldn't get it to work! Nothing is too much trouble, and they do house calls ....... read more

I am on the HOA board at my condo. We have had Archer's come out 3 times recently (repair a lock, change out a lock due to a break in, and replace 10 door knobs with levers for ADA compliance) and every time has been a great experience!! Customer service is great! Jerry always calls to follow up. Not only with estimates but also to make sure all work done was completed and correct.
