Great bike shop - everyone here is fantastic. Josh sold my husband his electric Magnum Mi5 back in June and does a fantastic job listening to stated and unstated needs finding the right bike for his customers. The electric bike is fantastic for Arizona, great for the cooler days when you want to pedal more, but also fantastic for those sweltering days that you don't want to pedal so much. Came back for our included tune up this month and because one of the tires went - turns out a whole twig punctured it. We had a treatment on the tire tube, so it was great until then. Bike has lasted for 1,100 miles so far and still going strong with little wear other than the chain. We decided to opt for chain replacement the same day instead of making another trip back next month. They are quick, friendly and helpful and introduced us to the fantastic dumonde tech d chain oil for smoother future rides. Will be back for future maintenance and bike purchases - this place is the best and a hidden gem for sure. Prior to coming to this bike shop we had visited several in the area and they do not compare at all. The people in other shops we found are not nearly as passionate or well versed about the bikes and looking for a fast sale rather than building a relationship. read more

I went in looking for a bike helmet. Absolutely no help at all. Someone sitting at a desk asked what I needed. I told him, he pointed to the wall that I could clearly see but offered no help. Called across the area to ask questions about models, no attempt to help. Clearly a big busy store but i was the only customer in this area and was hoping to get a recommendation and see what size I needed. I was intending to buy. I won't be going back. read more

I'm so glad I found this place. I get the family owned business vibes when I'm here which I prefer. These guys help me with my sons electric scooter which I'm so thankful cause I know nothing about...haha. They do a great job explaining every detail and even gave my son the option to purchase his own tires online himself saving us some $$$ It's hard to find good little companies like this these days that actually care to help out VS just money in the pocket. Gilbert location-Horrible. Showed up at opening time on a Tuesday. Brought my son's 16in bike in with both tires flat. Was told the front tire would need new tubing. And the back one probably just needed air. And he suggested I replace the tubing because of the front tire, that both tires should get replaced. I said okay. Was given a clipboard. Asked to fill out the top portion. With name, number and email, so he could send me pics to follow his progress. Which I thought was pretty cool. I asked when he thought he would be done and he told me that he needed some time because he had a couple of customers before me. I said that was fine. I just wanted to make sure that it was going to be then after 2 o'clock since I had to get kids from school. I asked how late they were open and he told me six so I said as long as I come back before six would the bike be ready by then And he said that it would. I called at 3:20 and was told that he had just put the bike on the rack and that he had not started it. He also told me that he had 10 to 15 customers before me and he was doing me a favor by taking my bike in. I completely understood and even told him that I appreciated him taking my bike this morning. I was just asking for a status update and asked him for a quote on what he thought it would cost since he didn't mention the cost when I drop the bike off. He then said That it would be about $50 before tax for the tire replacement and both tubing for both tires. And no including cost of his labor. I was shocked and told him that I would rather just buy a new bike Since the bike was only $78. He got angry with me and told me to come and get my piece of sh*** When I showed up to collect the bike, he yelled at my husband to get out of his building and not to return. The bike was completely destroyed when he put it back together. But he did fill both tires? Which ruins the tread, so I tossed the bike and replaced for my so . Meh. They kept my bike hostage for more than two weeks. Probably because I used the Yelp Offer. I know how businesses work. They give priority to those who pay the full amount, and sends the coupon peons to the back of the line. It's like a similar treatment when you present a Groupon. Groupon and poor service go hand in hand. Pretty much what you'll expect if you use a discount offer. I do not like writing bad reviews, and I can understand if they are busy. I get that! However, the reason why I gave it 3 measly stars (and that's being generous! ) Is because of the way the person answered the phone when I inquired about the status of my bike. The guy who I talked to on the phone lacked customer service, and was so abrasive. I was like what the hell is wrong with this guy? Practically raising his voice, and asked me with a "WHAT?" Sorry, you're deaf as a doorknob dude! Instead of saying "Can you please repeat that?". No, please, it was an impertinent "WHAT?" WTF? On the plus side, the guy that processed my transaction was at least polite. read more

We were visiting from out of town and had some trouble with our electric bike. We called and they said they would take a look at it and we can't say enough nice things about the service we received and the level of knowledge that they had for us. Although they weren't able to repair the bike because it needed a part from the manufacturer and it wouldn't get in in time to have them repair but it was certainly helpful to know what the issue was and be able to contact the manufacturer and have the part mailed to our home read more

Took my bike there for service. I went to the store and it was apparently ready. I took a spin and was unable to pedal. They examined it and fixed the problem. I came back later and picked it up Although I ended up having to go back twice, they not only fixed the problem but adjusted the bill as well. This made me feel valued as a customer. Appreciated the professionalism which to me shows they value customers service. I plan to return to upgrade my bike soon. read more

Still riding my second purchase from Archer's, it's insanely faster than the first bike I got. Each time I take it out I get faster and faster. I highly recommend getting "clipped in" so that your feet are actually attached to the pedal. They have a deal with new bikes where you can get the shoes and hardware for a discounted price. They pretty much always hook it up some way or another. You get your first tune up free, so I got that done, cleaned it up, and now it's back to riding :) If you see this bike flying down the road, watch out... I'm a madman. read more

They have electric and gasoline powered bicycles and tricycles. The unicycles come in three sizes. I took my brother, Woody, to purchase an electric bike. He has limited capacity for decision making due to a tramatic head injury. My brothet would have purchased a bicycle that was all wrong for him. Josh supervised him riding 3 different bikes, with and without the electric motor on. My brother is 6'4", so finding a frame that fits his body was a concideration. Josh was in the military and had seen men with tramatic head injuries and was simpethetic to my brothers needs. After checking with me about our budget and purpose, Josh steared us to one that was a good fit to Woody's frame to one that would be a pleasure to ride. Woody would have purchased the least expensive bike. It was a bike that would have met the basic need of getting from point A to point B, and accommodate his height. I was able to verbalize, for Woody, that his needs had very little to do with economy or basic transportation. His needs were for joy and pleasure! With great sales assistance from Josh, Woody discovered for himself, the perfect bike to meet his needs! Josh suggested upgrading to puncture resistant tires, innertubes, and puncture sealant inside the tubes. That was a no brainer. He also suggested a really good lock to protect his investment. The owner, Josh, was super, as are his wife and the mechanic. They are a team of friends dedicated by thier love of bicycles and sharing the joy with others. We take our Ebikes to Archer's twice a year for brake service and other repairs as needed. When we picked up the bikes this May we were told the pedal assist did not work. A test ride proved them wrong. The tech did not know how to engage pedal assist. My brakes have never squeaked until Archer's worked on them this May. In addition now the left hand brake has to be pulled all the way to engage the brake. We are going to find a new bike shop. Steven D read more

I traveled to AZ from AK and had a BikesDirect Motobecane shipped to my brother's place to fly back with to save on shipping. I took it to Archer's for set up and assembly. 24 hours later, I was riding my new bike. They helped me load it into my car, including the packaging it came in. Thank you Archer's! read more

Archer's has lost 2 e-bike customers today. I will never go back and home this review doesn't get censored by them. Not only do they have too much business, the person I spoke with today had an arrogant attitude and could care less if they are a week and half out for any repairs. Either they have run off the mechanics or just plane unable to manage repair work in a timely manner. I had done business with them and spent a lot of money with them, however, they will not get any more of my money - they overpriced as well with repairs and sales. I left them today and went to Global Bikes just a short distant away and Global now has 2 new customers as of today. They were professional and friendly and fixed my e-bike within minutes of coming into the shop. I just had a horrible experience with Archer's Bike shop down the street (I will never go back there - arrogant) and stopped by Global on my way home. They were busy and made time to fit me in and I didn't have to leave my bike. They made the simple adjustment for free. Would have been at least $60 at Archer's. We need to give our business to Global Bikes as they appreciate we customers who just want respect when we do business with them. Global is where we will go when we need help fixing our eBikes. You will be happy when you go there as well. Don't go to Archer's unless you like being treated like sh........t. Not everyone is like that there, but the two that I have had experiences with are as this is the second such time I have given a review. read more

I recently got a new e-bike and was having issues finding the needed extras like a bell and a rack. I knew of this place but honestly it's in a area that would best be described as "a mixed bag". But I gave it a shot. Wow they have so much stuff in stock it is nuts. The bikes go on for like 4 rooms! Anyway I bought a rack and bag and tried installing it myself. Nope couldn't do it. So I went back and asked them to. They didn't even charge me. Anthony told me just to keep shopping there. That's a smart businessman. read more

I already posted a google review about the issue with my e-bike. A simple flat was replaced and wasn't assembled correctly , the wheel popped off, had numerous issues. Went back to the store and all I got was an employee who ended up lying to his boss. His boss assumed his employee's lie before talking to me. In the end he promised to find a part to tlrepair and nothing came of it. Poor service if you are one of the unlucky ones, I mean how bad can you mess up replacing a tire, it's not brain surgery. This place is a joke. I took my bike over here on Saturday and told them I had a flat tire. They said that they had none avaliable and had to wait for the truck to deliver it to them. Then they call me today saying they put the new tire on it. Now when I took it over there on Saturday they told me I would be paying $48 for it. But when they called me they said I have to pay $80 for it since they replace the tire. Now why are you basically overcharging me makes no sense so this makes me completely mad because if they told me I'm paying $48 for it then why are you telling me when you called me and said it's going to be $80 which that made me mad. The reason this makes me mad is you guys are overcharging me which that's not acceptable. So when I call them back asking why am I being overcharged the guy on the phone acts like an angry idiot and basically has a nasty hissy fit over it just because I asked him a simple question and then they told me that you can come over and pick up your bike but we're going to put your flat tire back on it and then when you pick up your bike then you are not allowed to come back into our store. This place completely sucks and I am very mad that they overcharged me. The guy on the phone that I was asking why I was being overcharged has an angry issue and it's an absolute idiot just because I'm just asking him a simple question. Came in this afternoon because my son needed new tires, tubes, and grips for his bike. Greeted immediately with friendly smiles from entire staff! Went ahead and had parts installed while we were there in less than 20 minutes...wow! My son and I even chatted with the owners while we waited! Extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! We worked with Zach at Archer's Bikes to address a warranty issue on my Aventon Sinch electric bike, and I had a fantastic experience all around. After contacting Aventon and not getting a resolution (who, disappointingly, turned off their customer support phone number and only takes online ticket submissions and takes 4-5 days to respond), I took my bike to Archer's and had it resolved and back to me in about a week, and at no cost to me - they dealt with Aventon on processing it as a warranty repair. Zach was fantastic to work with - from communicating via text and email in a timely manner, to getting things actually fixed, to just being a pleasant and knowledgeable guy when I came in to drop my bike off and pick it up, it was a great experience. Despite asking them to check the chain line, this shop installed a crank on my bike improperly. I was unable to adjust my front derailleur because the crank was too close to the frame. I called the shop and they rudely refused to refund the work. I have now spent double and was unable to use my gears on an epic ride, ruining my weekend. The owner is not a very good businessman, and he is fat, and I will be routinely writing reviews on to make sure people send their money at reputable shops. read more
