Arcade Odyssey is a fun lil spot to play arcade games, grab some drinks & snacks in Miami. We came here after being rained out of outdoor plans and it ended up being a fun time! The spot is small in an intimate way but heard that they have actually expanded over the years from one room to three. Although they've expanded, it still holds that intimate feeling. Stepping inside feels like stepping into a movie scene, with the games, lights and the windows being blacked out so you can't tell what time of the day it is outside. I've been to arcades before but none that give a nostalgic feeling quite like Arcade Odyssey. To use any of the games, you have to use their game cards which you fill up with their version of tokens which are flurbos. I filled mine up with $20 worth and I didn't even get close to using them all. They have a variety of games to choose to play, with something for everyone. To our surprise, they had a good amount of food, snacks, and drinks to choose from. They have a case of Japanese snackies in one room but in the other, they have a food menu, boba, beer, and ice cream. For food, we ended up getting the chicken fried rice & yakisoba. They serve them on styrofoam bowls which was a little odd but the food was actually pretty good. My favorite of the two was the yakisoba. They also serve Aubi & Ramsa ice cream (ice cream with alcohol) here. The price was really steep at $11 but I have a hard time saying no to ice cream, especially if its Aubi & Ramsa, so I got one. They have a good selection and when I can drink beer again, I'm excited to grab on on my next visit. Overall, a fun spot to hang out with friends & family or even take a date. read more

There's a pretty decent selection of IPAs and unique brews and fair priced! Nice date spot! I went on a Friday night and it was pretty busy but the only game I had to wait to play for was air hockey (which is expected). This arcade sells beer, wine, sake and spiked bubble tea - I didn't get to try to the later but it looks really cool. I had Blake's Hard Cider Strawberry Lemondae (6.5% and tasty). To play, the amount of coins that you get is worth what you pay for. Most games are 2-3 coins and some of the more in demand ones are 4 coins. I paid $15 for the coins and my boyfriend and I were able to play for about 2 hours. Overall it is a unique concept and a good place to come with friends although it is not that big. My only suggestion would be to add more game type selections and some newer games (many were retro which is cool but I think some updated ones would take it next level!) read more

First I'll start to say how this is a great idea. A place where friends can go to play classic arcade games and drink. My friends and I were looking for a place to drink and have a good time, not necessarily go dancing or simply sit at a bar, but something interactive. I love this place. It's a retro-gamer's heaven. I've been here multiple times with my brother and also with my wife and son. Each time everyone's had fun. The owner has collected a vast amount of eclectic and rare imported arcade machines. He also has a VERY well stocked (also eclectic) bar selection - with lots of fine, strong, craft beer and even Mead! Very cool. Some of my favorite machines are: -The Japanese Drumming one -The Act - Interactive Comedy -Time Crisis (great workout with the pedals if you get into it!) -All the Pinball machines! (But mostly Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Wars and Metallica) On the beer scene they have everything from sours to meads to Imperial stouts, there's really something for everything. Arcade Odyssey First time at Arcade Odyssey - took my 10 year old son to play some video games. The space felt a bit cluttered but the decor is cool. Not all the machines appealed to my 10 year old. He did enjoy the air hockey and the pinball machines, but the equipment is older and geared towards an older audience. GroupOn has a great deal for tokens if it's still available. If you're in the area it's a nice place especially if you're into the older style gaming systems. My husband had a great time because he is an avid retro-gamer. The way you handled the situation at the arcade last night was completely unprofessional and unethical I spent over $150 yesterday including buying a $55 sweater with the arcade logo on it and you threw me out for bringing a cross of christ i made myself and just wanted to show the first piece of art i ever made to people i thought were somewhat my friends. No warning no communication and as soon as i was made aware that there was an issue i apologized over 10 times sincerely and complied 100%. Ive been coming to the arcade since it opened and it breaks my heart that adrian went around telling people that im crazy and not to talk to me and that liz is scared of me. I didnt do anything to deserve this result and consequence. You will hear from my lawyer for violating my human rights as a disabled person. Adrian will be sued for slander. I will not let this go. I will fight for my god given rights as a HUMAN BEING. Thank you rick for being so kind to me, i will still support your business without ever returning. I truly do not comprehend the hate and negative reviews this place gets. It's clearly miserable, ignorant people. This is very clearly describes as a retro arcade, which it very much so is, while also having a healthy amount of more modern games to play. It has a great bar with some interesting drink choices, PLUS a candy/ snack shop section. People were also complaining about the claw machines not being fair, WHEN HAVE YOU SEEN A CLAW MACHINE BE FAIR?? Stupid thing to leave a negative review over. Well, this was a trip to the past. My main issue is that almost NONE of the two-player games work: except for Double Dragon and Pong, every other two-player game only work as single-player. The air hockey is pretty much destroyed (the disc gets stuck under the edges and crashes against the glass). Other than that. They have varied classic games and a few pin-ball machines, plus a number of modern-day pcs for non-nostalgia costumers. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, but I would really prefer not to play by myself... If I wanted to, I still have some of these games at home. Maybe you're an Aerosmith fan? How about some Revolution X?!? Arcade Oddysey has something for just about everyone including alcohol for those 21+ The only downside to AO is the parking lot. The lot is always packed due to other surrounding businesses so you might be circling quite a bit before lucking out & landing a spot. I discovered this arcade last month and have been back about 3+ times. The vibes here are incredible and it's a great time. My boyfriend found a Groupon that's about $28 for 108 tokens I believe. In person you spend $10 for 30 tokens. Most games are around 2-4 tokens, 4 being the most. Guitar hero and air hockey are 4 tokens, pinball machine 2-3, Mario Kart 4, etc. Those 108 tokens last u a few visits depending how much we play lol. The theme of the arcade is 80s and most of the games are old school, which I think is really cute. I have seen younger kids here at this arcade but I don't think they will appreciate it as much as someone who's in there 20s +. They also have some drink selections such as Japanese sodas, root beer, water, etc. I've also seen Mochi and pocky as well as some toys you can purchase. The only thing is this arcade doesn't have tickets from playing games to win something, it's solely for enjoyment and entertainment. Overall, I really enjoy this arcade and highly recommend it. Great concept for an arcade. One of the bigger ones I've been too that serve beer and food. BARCADE! Who doesn't like playing vintage games and then washing down a victory orrrrr a loss with a nice cold craft beer! They have so much too chose from such as tons of pinball machines to different multiplayer fighting games, shooting games, dance dance revolution, to jet ski or snow mobiles.. so much more to add. But I'll leave that for you to find out. This place is great for all ages that can reach over the game counter ;). They sell ramen here as well. This place is a rare gem. It has all the little something for everyone in the arcade. On the outside you can't see in. The windows are all covered in graphics. Inside is all blacked out you'll loose all sense of time and orientation, it's like you're in Vegas. One of the most things that stands out the most to me is the selection or rare arcade games you won't find in the states. There's a good number of Japanese original games, everything from side fighting action to animated comedy games. The true reason I keep coming back is the pinball. This is one the few places that has more than a couple machine and they keep them maintained well. Most of the pinball is 3 tokens ($1) but you get 5 balls. The are always adding a new pinball every so often. In addition to all the arcade games that take tokens they have LAN games. Basically whatever desktop or console games they have going on and they have tournaments. Recently I discovered that they expanded! Pretty much they have doubled in size. They new section holds all the pinball games as well as all the throwback arcade games that you love and miss. As part of their expansion they are going legit on the food and drinks. They have plans to have hot food and a kitchen......and the best part, draft beer!Now if this place were any closer I would be in trouble. Spent $10 and it was $10 well spent. Went down to West Kendall with my dear Edwin P. Figured I'd check out one of my thousands of bookmarks. Not to mention that we had visited another arcade recently and wanted to compare. Turns out I love this one much more. There are so many games. You can play classics like Centipede and Pac-Man and even newer games like Dragonball Z and Street Fighter ones. Oh, and among the games as well are Mario Kart, The Simpsons, and even Dance Dance Revolution. Did I mention Sonic the Hedgehog? Truly there's something out there for everyone. Most games are two tokens. Some are one and very few are four. Regardless of the amount, I found the prices to be quite reasonable. 33 tokens for $10 and an hour of fun, sign me up! I recommend this place highly for anyone who wants to try something different. You don't have to be a gamer to enjoy yourself, you just have to have an open mind. Be aware that they don't sell food. Unless snacks are food for you. They have pocky, pandas, and even some Japanese sodas available. No alcohol sold though. If you want something more of substance, eat beforehand or go eat somewhere in the plaza. There are at least two places to eat in the plaza that this gem is located at. Oh, and you don't have to use all your tokens at once. If you have some left over, keep them in a bag and use them next time. I saw plenty of folks doing that. read more

Wonderful spot, amazing atmosphere, captured the old school arcade feel I haven't had for some time. They also had a number of rare arcade cabinets and a number of Japanese Sega cabinets. I was impressed by the simple and tasty food along with the massive craft beer selection they had. I didn't like the weird exchange rate they had where I lose a quarter for every dollar I popped in but that was no big deal. This is one of the best arcades I've been in. Although it is for the older people and teens, that doesn't take away the fact it can still be fun for kids. It reminds of a retro arcade while also being modern at same time. It has machines from Japan, have pinball machines, modern game machines, and retro gaming machines. The employee service is great as well, when I was playing a game with my friend wrong they taught me how to do it in an respectful manner.
