This is a combination Patagonia outlet and regular shop that also holds sample sales and local events like lectures and yoga classes. There is metered street parking available right by the entrance or you can try to find free street parking a block over and walk. This is apparently the largest Patagonia store on the East Coast and they even have their own Baltimore patch! They have sales on top of their outlet prices as well but just keep an eye on what they serial is actually on sale such as fleeces instead of the entire store being on additional sale. I came by for a yoga class on a Sunday morning (bring your own mat!). This was hosted by Andrea and attendance was about 15 people and was a very pleasant peaceful start to the morning! I wish I had known about the community yoga before as I would have been coming for ages.

I became a regular at the store and sadly moved away in the beginning of 2025. But I still purchase items for work through them because the prices cannot be beat. FMJ is like no other military surplus store I've ever been to. The selection is better than anything I've seen. Over the years I've collected many different items. Some for work, others for my home office collection. But every time I enter the store, for better or worse I always leave with something. They stay busy on social media as well and are very interactive. Check them out on Instagram if you have one, sometimes you can see some of the surplus on there before it hits their shelves. Easiest 5/5 stars I've ever given. Next time I'm in the DMV I will be stopping by. It's tradition at this point.

Before stepping foot into this store, my friend and I devoured a delicious early lunch filled with oysters, shrimp, and all the local favorites. Little did I know, my stomach had its own little plan brewing after lunch. As it really didn't sit well with me and my poor tummy started rumbling like a volcano about to erupt! Thankfully, my friend Nihar needed to buy a winter parka, and lucky for me, Patagonia has a bathroom. It was like the universe was conspiring in my favo, as I quickly rushed up stairs. The bathroom was surprisingly clean and well-stocked with soap and toilet paper. But here's the catch - the acoustics in there were something else! It felt like my stomach's symphony was echoing through the entire store. ! Desperate to drown out the embarrassing sounds, I turned on some tunes and let the water run from the faucet m. But let's face it, you can't hide the truth forever and you've just got to go....After enduring my own personal "bubble guts" concert, I realized there was no air freshener in sight (sorry, staff!) and felt terrible for the next person who would have to endure this bathroom.... I took a deep breath and decided it was time to make a quick exit. As I hurriedly opened the bathroom door, I almost collided with none other than Adam Sandler himself! Yes, you read that right, THE Adam Sandler! My jaw dropped to the floor, and in a panic, I slammed myself back against the bathroom door. As there was no way I was going to let Adam witness the aftermath of my bathroom symphony and I was convinced he'd make a joke about me on his next show! But you know what? I gathered all my courage and casually greeted him with an "oh hey, Adam." and to my surprise, he responded kindly and moved along, saving me from any potential embarrassment. Phew! After escaping the bathroom fiasco, I made my way downstairs to join my friend Jesse, who was stuck on a conference call. Meanwhile, my other friend bombarded the staff with a million questions about their precious parka. I must say, the staff handled it like pros, remaining super friendly and helpful throughout the entire time. They even managed to maintain their professionalism while Adam and his bodyguard roamed around the store and with the growing crowd trying to entire the store to see Adam. All in all, it was a fun and eventful experience, despite my bathroom mishap. But hey, here's a friendly suggestion to the store: maybe invest in some air fresheners? I promise I'll return on my next visit, hoping for a less "aromatic" adventure and good times!.

Needing some hiking gear for an upcoming trip, I went upstairs and Tommy was quick to see if I needed help, even while he was helping someone else already. He was really nice and helpful in finding a comfortable, sturdy and safe pair of hiking boots. I then went on to buy some clothing and the ladies around the fitting room were quick to let me in. But my wife has recently become a "backpacker" and I wanted to get her fitted for a legitimate backpack so we made an exception to our black friday rule and went to the only place I would go to locally backpacking and other outdoor gear, River Rock Outfitter Even though the shop was filled with customers, Keith and April, the owners, immediately greeted us. When April finished with her customer she began the process for fitting my with a backpack. This process which included measuring her torso, what type of backpacking it was for day hikes or multiple day/night trips, types of weather, trying on multiple packs (with weigjts in the pack) took approximately 40 minutes, maybe more, but it was such a pleasant experience, it only seemed like minutes. My wife and April found the perfect pack but since it was not in the color my wife wanted, April placed in on order. We'll return in a day or two, try it on again and walk out with an early Christmas present for my wife we will now be able to share and enjoy many more years of backpacking together with a comfortable backpack. Before making the trek over here, my friends and I looked online to see if there were whistles to be had any where near where we were. We weren't having much luck until this popped up. We made our way over here and into the store. Trying to figure out where whistles would be in a sporting goods store is not fun. Every single sport they represent could be a possibility of that location. We wondered up and down aisles in hopes that they might be with the soccer gear, no luck. Basketball gear? Nope. Hidden in the back corner of the store? Why of course... We see the whistles, grab our twenty and head to the register. The guy ringing us up must of thought why are we buying so many. Then when the total came up, something wasn't adding up. Even with simple math it wasn't correct. Then we noticed that the amount per whistle is not what was listed on the many pegs we just cleared back there. We let the guy know that each peg we pulled from was a price less than what was in the system. He got on his walkie and had a back and forth with another employee who persisted that the price it is ringing up is the price. We protested, as we (four of us) all told him the price is not as marked on the peg. They were hoping that we wouldn't care much, but one of my friends went to the back corner to meet the associate and point out where we grabbed the whistles from. Once she did that, they honored the priced from the numerous pegs. Crazy situation, but when you buy twenty of something, the price difference definitely stands out.

I discovered today that they even have a monthly free bike clinic, where their bike mechanics will completely inspect your bike for safety and wear and tear issues. If I was really into snowboarding this is the store I would come to ship. It's like a snowboarder's paradise here. The store is also open 7 days a week, and there were a handful of associates ready to assist me when I showed up.
